Not to scare but yes that was the date we reached this lovely place. The place has its charm and Hyacinth makes it more memorable than ever ,without her you will just have the beautiful beach view but with her you will carry memories back. The food is amazing here and the host knows what you need when you are staying here. we loved our stay thoroughly and if you guys want to experience hospitality then this place is a must. its quite difficult to find the place when it gets dark so my suggestion would be search for "EZHARA MAPILA LP SCHOOL" in your google maps. from here the place is very near and it would be easy to find out as maps sometimes wouldnt show the exact location of the property if you type the beach house. It was pouring cats and dogs and we reached the property at 7PM and it was quite dark on a friday 13th. Hence i am giving you guys the suggestion how reach the place even if it gets dark.. lol .. To sum it up 'Hyacinth you are the best Host and the charm of the place, you rock and keep others rocking".…
We have travelled around this amazing country numerous times. However we are so glad we managed to make it back again to Ezhara Beach House, just before the world turned upside down. It's an oasis of peace and quiet in amongst the dust, noise, hustle and bustle of modern day India. The lure, of what we call our second home, always calls to us. From the moment you alight from the tuk tuk that has been sent to collect you and see Hyacinths' beaming smile, you know you are back where you belong. We are always grateful that we stumbled across EBH back in 2009 but it is hard to actually put a finger on what is so special about this almost secret place. Could it be the picturesque deserted sandy beach that stretches off into the distance or the fact that very few people have ever visited this treasure of Kerala? Maybe it's the view from the comfy verandah, as you watch the sun slowly sink to the horizon through the waving palm trees? Perhaps it is the way you drift off to sleep with the sound of the waves lapping the nearby shore in the knowledge there is another day of bliss to look forward to? It goes without saying that without a doubt the meals you are given are a culinary delight and we always leave far heavier than when we arrived. Is this the reason? On reflection, it is obvious now that it is a culmination of all of these things plus the friendliness and warmth that naturally flows from Hyacinth. You arrive as a pampered guest and leave in the knowledge that you have joined that exclusive club of her worldwide extended family. If you are reading this, then we hope you stay safe and well and we would highly recommend you to consider Ezhara Beach House as a future destination for when things return to normal.…
Stayed at the beautiful location in March 2020. The host was very knowledgable and accommodating, taking us on trips around the local sights and markets. The food was fabulous, tasty, such a variety and unusual, the cook was also a lovely person. The rooms were quirky & comfortable, with lots of nice surprises for us (sweets/chocs) etc Location was right on the beach. Would recommend anyone stay here Thanks
I had a lovely weekend staying at Ezhara Beach House, and Hyacinth & George we’re so hospitable and great company. It was like staying with family and the food was really good too! Thank you to you both and look forward to visiting again soon!
What can I say, this homestay has absolutely everything. Hycynith is one in a million a wonderful host, a one stop travel guide, an entertainer and a complete fountain of knowledge. The position is wonderful just a few yards from the sea. The food is outstanding Hyacinth checking what her guests would like for their evening meal. Still and sparkling water are available for guests all day, there is even fresh fruit available to nibble on. Iwill definitely be making a return visit
