Visited the Cavo Olympo hotel with my daughter out of season for a relaxing break. I made a great choice! The hotel is clean, staff are friendly, professional and welcoming. Food was of a high standard - we had a 4-course a-la-carte menu for dinner 3 out of the 4 nights of our stay and lots of choice at breakfast. The spa facilities and indoor pool were wonderful too. With very few guests around we had access to the facilities mostly all to ourselves - we felt spoilt! There is not much to do within walking distance, as the hotel is located off a highway / motorway, so would recommend either hiring a car or booking taxis at reception if you plan to venture out. Special thanks and recognition to Dimitri who served in the restaurant most evenings. Didn't get the names of the receptionists, but they were also very helpful. Would recommend booking a room with a sea view - the sunrises are well worth waking up early for. Can imagine it being a fantastic place to be in the height of the holiday season. Would highly recommend this hotel.…
I spent a night at this property and the experience was a unique one. The moment you get in the hotel you can realize why it is so renowned. I had booked the superior room with the interior hot tub. The room was very clean and was equipped with everything a visitor could expect. The mattress was great and I enjoyed a great sleep. The place where breakfast is served has a great view and it is an amazing way to start your day. Since it is a 5-star hotel though, I believe that the breakfast menu could be enriched even further.
We stayed in the hotel two nights and our stay was amazing. This Adults ONLY hotel offers every single thing a couple may need. Located on the shore with beautiful views of the mount Olympus. The best choice in the area.
We enjoyed a week in November with cold wheater. The rooms and hotel facilities are very nice built. But the indoor swimming pool was closed because of Covid and the outdoor swimming pool was just closed as well. And NOT heated as well, in contradiction of the private pools which were heated indeed. Although you pay for every night there is nobody who thinks people prefer a bed or seat cushion when sitting outside in the sun all day! Service: Unfortunately we experienced that Hospitality made place for the Covid rules. Personnel is NOT focused on serving the customers and pleasing them. Maybe the English language makes it difficult as well but we did not feel very much welcome. Finally the location is in the middle of nowhere. You need a rental car, specifically to go to a restaurant when the hotel restaurant is just not open at a certain night. Note there a numerous alternatives.…
Stayed at Cavo Olympo for four days. A beautiful setting against the sea, with the stunning backdrop of Mount Olympus. A great stop over for walking in the area. Only an hour from Thessaloniki & two hours from Meteora. An adult only hotel, predominantly patronised by couples. A lot of the European guests were on half board, enjoying a very good buffet every evening. We chose to eat at the hotel twice. Once a la carte & once from the buffet. Both were very good & of a high quality. The breakfast buffet was also excellent. There are some very good local restaurants but there is no easy pedestrian access to these so are easier reached by car, even though they are only a few minutes away. This was frustrating as we were hoping for a leisurely stroll along the seafront which is sadly not possible. The rooms were large & clean, with a generous balcony looking out to sea. The hotel is small & intimate. There are plenty is sunbathing options & a well equipped gym & spa. There were beds & a small bar on the attached beach, but this was very narrow & did not look particularly inviting on the days we visited. The mountain view rooms have a spectacular view of the sunset over Mount Olympus, but are by a busy road. Overall, I think the sea view rooms are superior. I would recommend this hotel for couples who want a quiet get away, or stop over for walking.…
The hotel is very well-architected and in a beautiful location. Unfortunately, it seems a bit neglected. The walls are chapped, the corridors haven't been vaccumed recently, and the food in the restaurant is merely good. The staff (reception, cleaning and restaurant) is very attentive, cheerful and helpful. The rooms are beautiful, clean and comfortable, but the mini-fridge only had two small water bottles as a welcome, which seems like the wrong thing for the hotel to save money on when a six-pack of large bottles costs 1€. There's nothing BAD about it, but I expected more than "not bad" for the price. I expected "excellent", and so far it hasn't been excellent, it's been good. If you like lounging around the pool in a nice, sunny location, you will probably enjoy Cavo Olympo, but I don't think we'll be coming back or recommending it to anyone.…
We have just returned from our second vacation from the Cavo Olympo having stayed there two years ago. Location- the hotel is situated about 15 minutes by taxi from Leptokarya ( which is very touristy), this is also where we had to have our covid lateral flow test, and 10 minutes from a beautiful place called Litochoro ( very Greek and has a few inexpensive restaurants). We throughly recommend visiting Litochoro. Food and drink- we ate out a couple of times at a fish restaurant called Aiolos which is situated a 10 minute walk away along the busy road ( which has no pavement ) or along the pebble beach during the day. We had the ala carte menu twice and the buffet 3 times, both were absolutely gorgeous. Rooms- we had a classic sea view which was situated on the ground floor, room was clean and spacious. Spa- I had a after burn massage which relaxes the skin after sun exposure, which I recommend. The pool sauna and steam room were closed due to covid restrictions. Staff- all of the staff worked extremely hard in very warm conditions from the cleaner who cleaned our room ( 115 ) to all of the waiter's / waitresses. A special mention must go to Eva on reception and Polliana ( not sure of the correct spelling) . Finally a special mention must go again to Sakis at the beach bar who was brilliant! ( wish we were sat there now with a ice cold Mythos) . Throughly recommend this hotel for anybody looking for a relaxing, child free and chilled holiday. …
We arrived at Monday 2pm.Amazing place .food excellent and the stuff was amazing.Amazing hotel and restaurant with view spectacular view at Aegean sea. . Full recommend. We recommend to everyone who have high standards...............
General expression that say "go down from the Olympus" usually means " get down to earth" ... For us, In the Cavo Olympo case, going there from the Olympus meant actually "stay high" for another couple of days .... The resorts grounds , infinity pool and private beach are absolutely fantastic. The staff managed everything as per the strict COVID-19 regulations , yet we could have full freedom feeling combined by full trust that our health is protected. The on site restaurant is great - serving first class Greek kitchen cuisine, with a very respectable wine list.
My wife and me stayed in this Resort for 7 days It was a pleasure with a large clean room with jacuzzi and a sea view the staff were lovely and very helpful We enjoyed the infinite big pool The breakfast was good and evening was excellent We had a very quiet and relaxing stay we will definitely return
