Right from the begining, everything has a terrible experience. No bell boy to pick ur luggage. They do not know what is King size or Queen size bed. Had requested quite a room they gave me on the roadside which is horribly noisy. On the second day, I requested for water it came but after 6 reminders and in 2 hours. I requested for tea I was served but even for an extra tea bag, I was told it will be charged. My deal included breakfast but when I requested for a cup of hot milk I was told it is paid or else use powder milk. Receptionists are quite arrogant but interestingly housekeeping staff is quite friendly and helpful.

James hotel is very located in the centre of Juba. Pocket friendly with very few amenities. Security was just fine. There was no swimming pool of fitness center. The room was quite big, clean too. The food was ok too

This hotel surpassed my expectations when it came to accommodation in Juba. Very clean, spacious, well furnished and beautiful rooms. The restaurants had diverse menu items and for the 2 weeks we were there, I never heard the term “I’m sorry that menu item isn’t available”. The food portions were QUITE generous and fresh. Have WiFi that’s a bit slow (though great by Juba standards). Only frustrating thing is it kept kicking one out of the network and you had to keep putting in your credentials.

Should be a nice hotel, clean beds but has poor customer relations. Be aware of being overcharged in the name of half board/full board. Complaints are not taken seriously and argue with customers. The food was not good, pilau, ended up with diarrhea. They make you pay in advance and there are no refunds. connectivity is on and off. Had a terrible experience.

Stayed here for three months, staff are very helpful, best meals I found were peppered steak, and the Eithiopian dishes like Tibs with injera which is great. If you like hot sauce try the awaze, my fav and of course Tusker larger. Restaruant on the roof has great views of the city. Bar staff are excellent and make the extra effort, fresh pineapple juice or latte whatever you can get elsewhere in the world within reason..
