There are not too many options in Juba for a tourist at a moderate price and that is a safe place. Right place, on an unpaved road with private security and armed 24 hours a day. Expensive restaurant and bar within the security zone. Room type bungalow correct, a / c, private bathroom. Price 40 U $. Excellent for Juba, which is a very expensive destination because there are no tourists, only members of the United Nations and international aid organizations. Very friendly staff

I've been coming here for 6 years and have never had a bad experience. The staff are friendly and efficient. This is Juba, so don't expect too much. But the compound is shared by Insight Security, the leading private security company in South Sudan, which also has its headquarters here. Also probably the best bar/restaurant in Juba (Notos) is right opposite the main gate. The food is pretty samey but at least consistent. Internet is reasonable and laundry is daily and free.

I stayed here for a work trip and found it more pleasant than anticipated. Yes the rooms are essentially old containers but, whilst getting a bit tired, they felt pretty safe and are scrupulously cleaned every day. The beds are comfortable, showers are hot (no temperature controls) and they installed flat screen TVs the week I stayed there. The rooms are a but dark as the curtains don't open but this is common for many places in Juba. I thought the food was fine, particularly given the constraints in which the kitchen needs to work within. Note you'll need to buy water every day from the bar (cash only) as you're not given water in your rooms except for when you arrive.

I can confirm older observations of other clients. Hamza Inn is quite expensive for the standard it offers, overpriced like everything in Juba. Rooms are small and simple and get hot during the day. However, the rooms are very clean and sheets and towels are changed regularly and everything in the rooms is functioning (TV, hot water, wifi, aircon). Not all rooms do have TV and the wifi connection is often very slow, so that at times I could not send my mails. Laundry is freem but they do not accept underwear. Most of the time, it was not too noisy. On weekends it seems that some clients have their drinks and get quite loud. Breakfast was quite varied with fresh fruits, omlets, pancakes, porridge and some other English breakfast dishes. I did not have lunch or dinner there, as on the other side of the road there is a nice restaurant with good food. I particularly liked the Indian dishes. Staff at Hamza Inn is very friendly and helpful. Overall, I would rate the hotel as "good", something between "very good" and "satisfying"...
