A very strange hotel, from the outside you would never imagine the inside décor. Quite spacious with areas on all floors for sitting with unusual paintings, tables seats and various objects in abundance. My room was on the second floor, reasonably spacious with plenty or wardrobe space so I could empty my suitcase. The bathroom was clean but the shower... More

Lovely unusual hotel. Room excellent but walls paper thin and conversations clearly heard. Fortunately no-one had a late night. The restaurant offered menu del dia @ 12 euros or a la carte which was quite pricey. The set menu was awful, I think one of the worst I have ever tasted. I wished we had time to see if there... The friendly concern for the guest's needs began with the email booking and reflected the professionalism of this family hotel. The room was small but adequate for an overnight stay; the west-facing balcony would give sitting space on a warm, cloudy day and the landing is a communal lounge. A peaceful location for a good night's sleep. The private parking... More

A bit difficult really - hotel great but hotel restaurant disappointing! Travelling from the Santander ferry down to Alicante area we selected the hotel from previous TripAdvisor reviews. Let me say that the hotel was a perfect stopover, just over an hour from Santander. Staff were very friendly and helpful and we were lucky enough to be allocated a room... More

This hotel is well situated near the central square of the town and everything is in easy walking distance, including the Monastery of Santa Maria la Real. At 42 Euros a night including breakfast, this is a recommendable place to stay. It is clean, the staff are reasonably friendly and the room (especially if you have a groundstairs facing on... More

This hotel is excellent for a short stop over after rolling off the Ferry. Just about the right driving distance if you intend travelling on in Northern Spain or beyond. The staff are very friendly and having a little knowledge of the Spanish language is a definite bonus. The rooms are comfortable and the menu in the restaurant is good.... More

I have stayed here before and thought it worthy of a review. This is a family owned and run business and you can tell they are very proud of what they have had achieved here. Service is personal and they strive to accommodate your every need. The food is exceptional and puts our English diet to shame. The menu has... More

First impression of this hotel was a bit mixed, it didn't look that good from the road, but we unloaded our bags and were shown to the garage and our allocated parking bays, they were ideal, then up to the room, and what a surprise, it was lovely, and the beds were superb except mine which was a little short... This place is easy to find from the A67 motorway and about 1 hours ride from the Santander ferry. A good underground garage secures the bikes, and with the restuarant on-site means a fuss-free first night's Spanish "menu del dia" which is great value for 13 Euros. The only downside was the breakfast - which is free.... but you wouldnt... More

Our room was small and hot (no air con and it was 34 degrees). The toilet didn't flush and our view was of the apartment about 12 feet away from us and even though it was hot we had to keep the window closed because of the crying baby, loud tv opposite and the hotels extractor fan from the restaurant....
