Quite high up overlooking the town, but on the same level as the extremely beautiful church and old town so that walking there is a doddle. The hotel staff were incredibly friendly and made our visit very happy. Wonderful fresh orange juice at breakfast on the terrace.

We spent three nights in this lovely hotel situated on the hill above the port of San Vicente de la Barquera. The view from our room was amazing, looking over the port towards the sea. Rooms are spotlessly clean and comfortable with free Wi-Fi. Breakfast can be taken in the open air on the balcony and costs a little extra,... More

We could not have had a friendlier reception. Our huge twin bedded+ child bed room with terrace, on the third floor( modern lift) enjoyed ever-changing views of the sea, river and, to the south on the horizon, the magnificent Picos de Europa. The room, private bathroom and bed linen were spotless, as was the whole hotel. Breakfast was served on... More

Great little hotel set atop a hill overlooking the town. The staff were absolutely charming, helpful and extremely accommodating. They have lovely gardens behind the hotel that we used one morning for yoga and stretching. The rooms while small were well appointment and very clean. We had a room with a huge balcony. Thank you hotel manager for being so... More

The Hotel Azul de Galimar is located in a quiet neighborhood perched atop a steep hill with panoramic views over the tidal estuary. Recently built or totally renovated the Hotel Azul de Galimar offers immaculately clean accommodation at a very reasonable price. This family run small hotel (With a lift) offers good value accommodation for the weary traveler, and we... More

The hotel has wonderful views across the estuary and to the sea, It is well worth paying for a sea view. The rooms were modern and spotlessly clean .Outside balconies are only available if booked direct with the hotel and not through a booking agency. However our room had floor to ceiling bay windows, which at this time of year... More

Stayed here for 2 nights in September, 2015. Very basic 3 star with no extras. Supposedly had a "superior" sea view room booked through booking.com. Originally offered a sea view room on the second floor without a balcony. Opted for a smaller first floor room with a terrace. Very basic and no air conditioning. Extra 5 euro per person for... We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights and wished we could have stayed longer. The hotel is up a small hill close to the town and has lovely views. Our room and the whole hotel is spotlessly clean. Also great value for money. The staff were all extremely helpful and friendly. Breakfast is $5 euros per person for a... More

Ask for a room with a view over the estuary ie with a 'balcon' or 'terraza'. Very nice people run the hotel, very clean and modern. Fab sound proofing didn't hear a thing from other guests in corridor. Only downside being a stiff walk uphill from town centre but easy to drive to and find
