The location of this hotel, on top of a hill with view on the big lakes, is one of the best qualities. Also the rooms are nice and large, with a nice place to sit outside, even if you dont have one overlooking the valley (which are the best rooms ofcourse). There are mosquito-nets around the beds, which are needed... More

I spent 2 nights at this lodge at different times and was assigned 2 different rooms. Lights, water, were OK on both nights however the room assigned the second night was of a higher quality than the first. The cabin was clean and the beds were comfortable. Food was OK. Seems as though some of the breakfast items were left... More

Unlike many visitors to this hotel I had an extended stay recently. While the views were great much of the direct hotel experience was poor. Periodic breaks in the water supply, electricity and internet connectivity compounded food quality that was patchy! Some nice service by staff but overall felt management didn't value me as a guest. I won't be going... More

Stayed with Swayne's Hotel for a week. At first their service delivery was good. After a few days numerous water issues encountered. Not that there is not any water, the gardens are looked after, the construction happenings are overflowing containers, the toilets are leaking, etc. The restaurant have only the local staff dish available and when there is any other... I visited this Hotel along with Evangadi Lodge several years ago with Greenland Tours (the Owners). They will soon be celebrating their 20th anniversary for the properties. This hotel is good for the area and choices available. The selection of food was good. Excelllence location. With that being said - I must say that the tours and accommodations are not... More

We stayed here for 2 nights on our Ethiopian wildlife tour. On arrival we were given bungalow 16, a long way from reception and the restaurant but with views out the back from the veranda across the garden. Warthogs and Baboons could be seen walking by. Our bedroom was quite large with two small double beds. Also in the room... More

This hotel is at a fantastic location with an amazing view over the two lakes and the mountains. The sunrise and the sunset are just great. The hotel would be great if the amenities planned would gave been finished and if maintenance ( serious , not problem fixing ) was ever made. Nowadays the restaurant is far away from the... More

A very nice place. If you are lucky you have a nice view. if you are unlucky you see another bungalow. There are a about 5 warthogs walking around the place. The male scared the s... out of me, but they are apparently tame. I just hope the hogs also know this. Restaurant is pleasant. At breakfast you can see... More

From the moment we arrived, I anticipated problems as there was no one at the reception desk and when the manager finally appeared, he was completely disinterested. We were lead to a distant room that was rather shabby and not particularly clean. The good news was that the view over the mountains and lakes was rather dramatic, particularly at sunrise.... More
