we've stayed here a few times now and the rooms are always very clean tidy and comfortable, with a fantastic breakfast, but this weekend we stayed in the sea scape apartment even though Pat was 'closed for building work' she accommodated us anyway in the self catering apartment...which is just stunning! sea view balcony, cooking facilities very spacious....I cannot recommend this... I cannot recommend this place highly enough. Booking was simple and we were allocated exactly what we wanted - a twin on the ground floor. Check in was simple and efficient. Our room was on the front. The view would have been great except for the weather. Our room was spacious and nicely furnished good tea and coffee facilities with... More

Homely and warming welcome. Room is great with everything that you need including hair dryer, complimentary toiletries and tea/coffee tray with lovely homemade shortbread. Breakfast was great, quick and hot. Plenty of choice and all the staff were very accommodating. Will book again.

It is a brilliant B & B on every account: Everywhere spotlessly clean, bedroom very comfortable and stylish (we were in room 7 which has great sea view); the hospitality is friendly and helpful but not intrusive; the breakfast quality variety and portions perfect; seafront location with private parking. Location is near town centre but quiet at night.

Really no need to reiterate what others have said about the excellent accommodation and breakfast at Mariners. The one and only drawback is the lack of blackout blinds, which are relatively inexpensive and easy to fit - and greatly the improve the sleep quality of people like us who prefer to sleep in dark rooms. On the bright(!) side, being... More

A perfect base for visiting East Devon and Dorset. Very comfy double room with sea view. Weather was great, so sea view even more relaxing. Plenty of tea and coffee, with extra touches like bottled water and homemade shortbread in the room. A fridge downstairs with milk kept in and jugs on top for those who prefered fresh milk to... This summer I walked the entire South West Coast Path to raise money for FORCE and Over and Above, two South West charities that support cancer patients and their families. Pat and Nigel at Mariners very kindly agreed to be my Accommodation Partner and Gold Sponsor in Seaton. Mariners is in a great location – on the seafront, next to... More

Stayed for three nights up to bank holiday Monday. Situated just across a quiet road from the beach, you could not ask for a better position. We stayed in room 1, a great room on the first floor with a beautiful sea view. Room was beautifully decorated and very very clean, bed was very comfortable with great bed linen. Plenty... More

We had a room with a beautiful sea view which was just what we wanted. The room was also spotlessly clean and the owners (and breakfast) were lovely. What more could you want! The owners Pat and Nigel along with all of the staff were very friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was excellent, good choice of hot food and also... More
