My family and I stayed at the Talbot for a week after our boiler had broken. My goodness we couldn't have wished for a better time. The staff looked after my family my dog AND myself when I became unwell during my stay. David the manager couldn't do enough and the staff even walked my dog when he was too...

The 9 course tasting menu offered a great selection of tastes. Many of the dishes were served by the chefs who had prepared them and they explained what they had created. The young staff were very pleasant and efficient. My only negative comment is around the mark up on the wine, whilst there was a good selection the increase on...

Just returned from another overnight stay with my partner at the Talbot. It really is lovely to be so warmly greeted after a busy car journey. The hotel exudes warmth and is inviting in every respect be it the roaring fires in the lounge or the welcome at reception. The suite we were allocated was beautifully appointed and the four...

We took advantage of the above promotion on Sunday February 26th 2017. Very friendly welcome from the young lady on Reception when we arrived. We were able to access our room at 11.30 am which was great. The room was spacious, warm, extremely comfortable large bed and large bathroom with all facilities. Excellent, reasonable Evening Meal in the Brasserie. Delicious...

Stayed here on a Friday evening on a super deal. Was a great excuse to catch up with family! We used the 1859 menu deal and the choice was difficult because all options sounded delicious - and our meals were. Customer service was great and friendly and just enough interest without being overbearing. The rooms were lovely, amazingly huge comfortable...

We dined in both the Brasserie and Restaurant and found the food to be fantastic, especially the tasting menu! I have read that others have...
