We were in our way home to Manchester and stopped off at the 'Waggon and Horses' for a meal. A friendly pub that had a restaurant in a light and airy room away from the noise of the pub. The food was excellent...fresh, hot and plentiful. We were served by young Stacy who was an asset to the pub. We... More

Go along to this friendly pub (just on the outskirts of Congleton) on a Thursday evening and have one of their pie and pea specials. All made on the premises - fabulous pastry, lots of filling. It's a midweek treat. And the beer's not bad either.

We chose this hotel as it was only a two minute walk to the venue for a friend's wedding, We enjoyed both an evening meal and a hearty breakfast in the pub both were very good with excellent service. Our room was located in a separate building, so had no disturbance from the busy pub at any time. Overall a... More

We only stayed for 1 night and after a long slow journey it was a welcome site! The room was clean and homely . The en-suite was clean with ample free toiletries. We decided to eat here and what a joy it was . The waitress was very nice , our order was taken quickly, there was a limited wine... More

Stayed at the caravan site overnight after going the Rewind festival. The breakfast was excellent. Hit the spot after being at the festival all day the day before. Lovely place and very handy for the festival site. Will definitely be back next year

We stayed nearby in North Rode and tried several pubs for evening meals. The Waggon and Horses at Eaton on A34 was the best. Great, freshly cooked food, reasonable prices and friendly welcoming service. Nothing to add other than I highly recommend this pub food.

Visited this pub for the first time a few days ago. What a find! The décor was a bit dated but the food was fabulous and the staff very friendly. We both had dishes from the light bites menu which was excellent value for money. The meals were obviously home made and the chips were the best I have tasted.... More

Stayed here last minute for a wedding reception round the corner and I honestly have no complaints about the place. The room was spotless and well equipped. The breakfast (incl in price) was yummy! (and filling!) and the staff were pleasant and helpful. would recommend to friends (especially for the room rates!).

Having heard the Advert on Local Radio and recently a friend had given it high praise, we decided to have a look. Problem!! we thought we had heard it was at Eaton and that was all we knew so we shot off on the Macclesfield road to Congleton and arrived at Eaton but NO Wagon and Horses!! Quick Google search... Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Delight in the beautiful Cheshire countryside at our welcoming inn. Look no further than the Waggon & Horses for a delightful pub and bed and breakfast in Cheshire. In the tiny village of Eaton lies the picture-postcard Waggon and Horses public house, ready to refresh the weary traveler with good food and ale. Be amazed at what our fine English pub has to offer. From fine cask ales, to locally sourced produce we have just what you need. We take great pride in our delicious food and at least 90% of what we serve in our restaurant is entirely home-made. It's tempting to get stuck at our warm and cosy bar with a real log fire on cold days complemented by the warm welcome of a family-run pub, but if you look that little bit further you'll see our beautiful caravan park situated at the heart of the idyllic Cheshire countryside. Not only that, we also offer clay pigeon shooting. Ideal for any day out, it is a great way to spend the day. For the summer there is a large garden overlooking open countryside, with a children's play area to allow parents to enjoy the good weather in peace! There is also ample car parking, and the front entrance is equipped with a ramp to allow wheelchair access. The restaurant serves all homemade freshly prepared food from an extensive menu, and on Sundays and Bank hoildays traditional roasts. The excellent food is accompanied by a wine list featuring both European and New World wines. We also have our own Clay Pigeon Shooting ground ,the only pub in Cheshire to do so You always get a warm welcome at the Waggon & Horses. Come and visit us and discover a home away from home.
