Our party of five had pre-booked a table for a Saturday night. On arrival we were quickly taken to our table and given the menu for our Christmas meal. We had soon decided and also ordered a couple of bottles of wine and a jug of cold water. The drinks came quickly and soon afterwards the first course also arrived....

We went for lunch on a week day, the food was plentiful and very tasty. The restaurant was very quiet as most people were in the bar. There was a fireplace with a welcoming fire burning and the room was nicely decorated. The service was excellent, menus given to us straight away and drink orders taken. The portions were large...

An overnight stay in Charing Astbury. This is a nice pub, with rooms. Good size room, very clean, refurbished bathroom. Peaceful and quiet. Good breakfast in a dinning room. A good place for an overnight stay and very good value

We had Saturday lunch at this village pub. The service was prompt and our waitress was friendly. The menu was extensive and we were spoilt for choice. There was the option of 2 courses from a limited menu for £6.99 which was brilliant value. This is a lovely, traditional village pub and I would recommend a visit.

I had fish cakes, again realy nice. The staff were really friendly. Our room (1) was a little bit on the...

We were staying In Congleton and needed somewhere to eat on Saturday evening. A quick phone call to the Egerton Arms assured us that we could have a table and they looked forward to seeing us. It was a good start to an excellent evening of well-cooked food served by attentive staff. From the moment we walked through the door...

Food here was okay, basic pub food. Only wish we had noticed the 4 dead moles hung up on the barbed wire fencing on the driveway before we went in, rather than on leaving. We wouldn't have entertained the place .

We visited on a sunny Sunday afternoon with friends, the pub was busy but our food came in a reasonable amount of time. We went for the floury steak baps and chips. We had one each but could have shared, they were so filling. The pub does get busy at the weekends. In summer there is a nice outside area....

Just popped in on the off chance as we were passing. Lucky find, the food was great & the staff were very helpful. Two of us had the "small" fish & chips, glad we didn't have the giant one, it must be huge!
