I stayed at the Boat Hotel last weekend while on a photography trip and meeting up with family in the area. My stay at The Boat was truly incredible - the rooms are ultra comfortable, the staff are very kind and friendly and could not do enough to make you feel relaxed. On Saturday, we all had dinner which was...

My girlfriend and I went away for long weekend and came across the Boat Hotel through a recommendation from a friend. We were keen not to stay in the hype of Aviemore and have a more authentic highland experience. This hotel provided exactly that! We arrived just before dinner on Friday night and was a little put off by some...

Welcoming reception area. Room was on 2nd floor. First flight of stairs fine, second had old carpet with splits on the tread and dangerous section with exposed gripper nails. Room along a long corridor with different levels and patched carpet. On opening the door we were hit with the smell of fried food. Room overlooked the kitchen, bins and car...

The staff where lovely and the room was immaculate. Will be recommending this place to everyone we know. The robes are an excellent touch and the staff where very...

So much to say, had a garden room, excellent, clean, spacious and our own decking, plenty hot water, smashing big bath and bathroom, well lit. The hotel was a bit dated but not so that anyone (apart from fault finders) should be worried, the staff were excellent, on booking I phoned back to ask for a bottle of prosecco to...

Room was lovely. Was upgraded to a deluxe garden room on arrival, which was spacious with a nice outlook. Was very disappointed with the food. The breakfast was ok. Overall enjoyed my stay pity about the food.

Really lovely and friendly place to stay. Rooms are clean, staff are friendly, breakfast is good and couldn't ask for any more. The location is great too. We stayed for two nights, and went to Loch Ness while we were here which took an hour. We hope to come back again soon

Just returned from a 2 night stay here. After reading previous reviews we were a little wary, but we found the staff friendly & helpful, (reserving us a table in the bar as soon as we arrived). The rooms were lovely, although some parts possibly a little dated. We ate here on our first night & thoroughly enjoyed the food....

Food not up to much and really poor repair of rooms. Needing upgrading soon of furnishings. Bar also in need of upgrade. Staff rushing and making mistakes. No salad with meal. Wring drink given to what ordered.
