Cosy weekend at Wheatland Farm. Only a small number of lodges and not fully occupied which contributed to the quiet peaceful surroundings. All well screened from each other too by big bushes. Bedroom small and not overly attractive at first glance but the double bed (just about shoe horned in) was surprisingly comfortable. Slept very well! Trying very hard to... More

We can not praise Wheatland farm enough. We have just returned from a wonderful week away. The farm, ponds, meadow, steams, woodland and wildlife are wonderful. Our hosts were lovely and yet we had peace, quiet and privacy. Our son loved squelching through the stream and taking pictures of the wind turbine. The accommodation is warm and cosy with an... Exceeded our expectations! 11 of us hired Balebarn and Beech Lodge for 3 nights over New Year and we had a lovely time. Ian was very helpful and welcoming. The accommodation was very comfortable, spacious and tastefully furnished. Extremely comfortable beds. Great bathrooms. Fully equipped kitchen. Very efficient wood burning stove. Great views through the huge windows (despite the constant... More

And you'll be very welcome! Thanks for your lovely comments. The woodburner is great at this time of year isn't it, especially if the weather is a bit unkind. And it's always good to hear the beds are comfortable. Ian and Maggie More

Spending time here is a great opportunity to reconnect with nature and discover this beautiful part of Devon. The farm is located in a peaceful, rural setting yet has plenty of scope for activities nearby (or indeed on its own 21 acres). It offers a precious chance to relax and unwind - with no noise or light pollution, you will... More
