Jim and Ina made us really welcome, and we felt like we were part of the family rather than guests. We chatted before, during and after the evening meals - these were expertly and deliciously cooked by Ina (extra, but well worth arranging, both for their quality and because of the distance to alternative catering!) We were a bit lucky... More

In 2014 we stayed a couple of nights with Jim and Ina when we wanted giving bagging Ben Cruachan a try. The weather prevented us from finishing the walk then, but we did enjoy our stay at Inverstrae. In fact, we enjoyed it so much that when we decided to give Ben Cruachan another try this year, we need not... More

When you arrive at Jim and Ina's you may start to feel as though you're staying with family. We had two nights here at the beginning of our trip around the Outer Hebrides. It was our pleasure to help these three hikers who were forced by the ferocity of Storm Henry the previous night to divert via Inverstrae.
