Another wonderful week at Melfort Pier and Harbour. The weather was fantastic and accommodation as good as usual. Sat on our balcony and watched otters, seals, yachts and fishermen. It's so relaxing and comfortable.

Stayed for a week in the boathouse, accommodation excellent with superb views from the balconies, made full use of the sauna and jacuzzi bath. Mary and Hazel welcomed dog with open arms, lovely little touch with treat bag when we arrived. NOthing was too much trouble for them. Great base for popping into Oban or visiting the isles, lovely scenic... More

We had a fabulous week at Melfort Pier, a perfect place to wind down. Hazel and Mary made the stay as they were on hand, if needed. A huge thank you to them as they even recognised my mum's 70th birthday! The lodge was spotless and very well equipped to cook a lovely meal. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

3rd time in Bridge Deck and another enjoyable, relaxing break. Some stunning views to be had when out walking and of course the view over the loch from Bridge Deck balcony is superb. Even though it's 'summer' still made full use of the log burner each night although had to open the balcony doors to cool down! Hazel and staff... More

Having visited in October 2015 and loved the place , we decided to return with our extended family ( including our dog and 3 month old baby grandson) to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary. Last time we stayed in Dock Master which was fantastic -and this time we were equally happy with Mermaid House with the addition of Captain's Quarters... More

Spent two nights in Dockmaster which was very spacious, clean and with the added bonus of a sauna ,woodburner and of course wonderful views. Hazel was very helpful and friendly when dealing with the booking process and indeed during our stay, printing off some local walking guides for us. It's an ideal location for walking, sailing or just relaxing in... More

You are so right, we do tell people to watch for the ticks ....but as you also notice that we have no midges at Melfort Pier, as we are right on the ocean. We hope you will come and visit us an other time of the year, best wishes, Hazel More

Taken too long to write this review. The accomodation is 5 star plus. Lovely views from the balcony. We even opted to use the facility of the free canoe boat. Mary just could not do enough for us. Thank you so much for our delivery of logs even though we were out the time frame. Everyone this place is a... More

Enjoyed a lovely weekend here with my husband and dogs. The accommodation was fab. Location is great and the views are stunning. We stayed in the Captains Quarter which is spacious and benefits from having its own sauna. Only 1 thing that it could have benefited us was having a fence round the garden area to keep the dogs in.... More

Dear Tina, Thank you for your input. We have several houses with closed gardens. When you book again, ask for a fenced in garden . A lot of dogs still get out to go swimming, but that is why we have some up stairs houses with large balconies. The dog can go in and out, see every thing , but... More

Loved the apartment. Beautiful views across the loch. Lots to see and do nearby with Oban only 20min drive. Clean and comfortably furnished. Sauna a great luxurious treat. Pets welcomed but as with so many places, unable to leave even well behaved pets in the property unattended.

I've been to Melfort Pier & Harbour a few times now and it never disappoints. I've recommended the place to a number of friends and family as well. The setting is amazing - it really is Scotland at its best, right on the loch. Go and see it for yourself - the photos don't do it justice.
