Orchard Barn is a tranquil, comfortable place to stay. It is well equipped and has a quality feel. We loved our stay there despite quite mixed weather!! Good position for exploring inland (Hardian's Wall and some excellent walks) and not at all bad to get to coastal areas either.

We enjoyed a wonderful two weeks in the Orchard Barn. It was very comfortable and well set up, including a washer/dryer. The view over the old walled orchard was private and very pretty. Renee, the owner, was pleasant and helpful but not at all intrusive. The wine and chocolates were a pleasant touch. The place is very well placed for... More

This was the perfect base for exploring the beautiful countryside in Northumberland. We stayed here as a family of 6 (3 couples) and the property could not have been more perfect. It is modern and stylish yet comfortable and homely and very well equipped. There is plenty of space to spread out and get your own space within the house... More

We travelled from Australia to reconnect with relatives and friends in the north east. Having a luxurious, warm, comfortable place to stay in this gorgeous part of England made our trip even more special. Beautiful inside and out - no matter the weather! We spent as much time as we could drinking cups of tea (and the lovely Aussie bottle... More

As a family we had been invited to a wedding at Langley Castle and as we had never been to the area before decided that we would make a week of it. What a good idea that was and even better that we chose Brokenheugh Lodge and Barn. A delightful house which was home from home and suited our family... More

We booked this cottage because we were tired of run down, old fashioned properties which had little to offer modern couples. The web site is impressive and the property itself does not disappoint. Although this is a essentially a studio, the spaces are well-considered and clearly divided so it never feels small. It is decorated and furnished to a high... More
