Nice family friendly hotel offer an ideal stopping place for walkers, fishing and birding. Rooms clean and homely with scenic vies of the moorland from every room. Excellent choses for simple cooked breakfasts and evening meals if required.

We stayed here for two nights in June 2016 as a base for exploring Hadrian's Wall .We could not have chosen a better place . A very warm welcome , comfortable room , excellent food and a great dog in Stroller . We loved the views and the location . Throughly recommended David and Lynda Bartholomew

The place is not sure what it wants to be...lodge, hotel or B&B! The room itself looked nice...however the beds were lumpy and very squeaky, the shower had no pressure and we could hear the person in the next room go to the toilet...not what you want to wake up to!! We found the owner not very helpful. We went... More

We stayed here for one night in a basic room which was reflected in the price (two bunks - similar to some of the older youth hostels). However, the room also had a kettle; some lovely biscuits; a small flat screen TV (we didn't use it); and some towels / shower gel (which you wouldn't get in a hostel). The... More

We stayed for 2 nights in this wonderful family-run hotel literally in the middle of nowhere. The hotel is set amidst the fields with a small lake nearby and only a few minutes drive from Hadrian's Wall. The owners made us feel welcome right from the start and made our stay very pleasant indeed. Our family room was unusually spacious... More

Stayed over for the one night as a family of 3 and our hound. Really easy to find off the A69. Perfect location for a longer break. Welcome was fantastic. Our dog loved the freedom there, playing with the resident pooch. Room was very spacious, bed comfortable, biccys on the side and the water hot. We did have to shower... More

This hotel is undergoing a make over after a flood. The hosts Arlene and Brian are very friendly and welcoming. We stayed as a party of 20 for 2 nights which was Ok but if I was looking to stay longer in the area I would choose somewhere with more amenities. The rooms differ in size but on the whole... More
