Travelers' Choice
We are a Fairytale Shire with various accommodations, including the only real Hobbit Houses in the world, Gypsy caravans, Shepherds huts, Story Book holiday cottage, caravan and camping, etc. We will soon be starting to build Hagrids hut from the Harry Potter films; again, as far as we know, we will be the only people in the world to have a real Hagrids hut Our yurt cafe will be ready for summer 2016 and we start our North Shire Enchanted weddings from early 2017. We are a young family with passion and drive for creating the most magical place for families. We came with nothing and have worked hard to get to where we are now. We value our customers very much and do try to make people very happy as we get a lot out of that, especially seeing children (large and small ) with huge smiles of excitement on their faces; that is just awesome. We do what we love and we love what we do ;)

Stayed Sunday to Tuesday. Such a quirky little place. Our accommodation was the mad hatter’s shepherds hut which was absolutely perfect. So many added extras to incorporate the theme. We had a peep through the windows of the other huts as they were empty and they looked just as good as ours - all different themes. There is other style accommodation too but we didn’t get to see them as they were occupied. Shepherd’s huts share 2 toilets and a shower. At present, only 1 household is allowed in at once which was fine for us but not sure how it would work if all huts needed facilities at the same time. Due to the time of year, it was super cold but I guess that’s obvious, we just didn’t think to take more blankets. It was such a gorgeous place. Would definitely re visit & recommend here xx

Anyone looking for a family holiday this is the place to go. Stunning scenery and a magical place to stay whether you are looking for camping, glamping, themed shepherd's huts, Harry Potter or Hobbit themed buildings or a luxury cottage with secluded hot tub Northshire has it all. Excellent for children, lovely atmosphere on site and amazing owners who make you feel welcome. Ideally situated with exciting days out for children and adults. For anyone interested in hiking or wildlife there are numerous walks around the locality with a stunning reservoir 15 mins up the road. Will be returning because we loved our 2 weeks here :)

What an amazing place to stay. We had a tour of many of the accommodations available, and they're so well done. Lots of thought into the decor. Really magical. Absolutely beautiful. The staff were fantastic and so helpful and friendly. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend for a family, couple, wedding or event.

What an amazing time we had at North shire. We stayed for 3 nights in the shepard huts. What a lovely glamping experience we had. The huts have everything you need, fridge, kettle, toaster, gas stove. It's such a lovely site with lots of different types of accommodation. It's a great size to be able to keep an eye on the kids and feels very safe. We will definitely be returning and have recommended it to our family and friends.

A huge thank you to the team at Northshire for making my daughters Hen weekend absolutely magical. You were all brilliant throughout the weekend and really helped us create something special, unique and memorable. Beautiful accommodation at the Dorm Room, Ground Keepers Cottage & Shire House. The site is so chilled and it was such a relaxing weekend for our group in the run up to the wedding. Gorgeous afternoon tea on the Saturday, followed by an evening of fabulous cocktail making and the most delicious evening food, a combination of tasty pizza and an outstanding charcuterie board & platter selection! A fantastic last night at the Shire! Would highly recommend! Thank you 🙏🏻🧙😘x
