Halfway between Granada and Cordoba, ideal base for day trips to the Alhambra and Mezquita. Great for olive groves, mountains, walking, home cooking, relaxing, wildlife and nature. Charming Andalucian cortijo (farmhouse) with indulgent touches: under-floor heating, a/c, super-king beds, Egyptian cotton bedding, pool, bikes for hire. Home-cooked evening meals using locally-sourced, fresh, seasonal ingredients. Good selection of Spanish wines.Strong green credentials: 100% of heating/hot water from biomass boiler & solar panels.

From the moment you step into this boutique hotel a sense of calm descends and Tim and Claire are the perfect welcoming hosts. We visited post Coronavirus lockdown but with safety measures still very much in place and Casa Olea was fully equipped to deal with extra sanitation, social distancing and everything immaculately clean BUT at barely any expense of the comfort and beauty of the house and nearby pool area.
Casa Olea is situated not far from Priego de Cordoba, nestled in a gorgeous river bed, surrounded by mountains and olive trees, it really is an oasis even in the hight of Summer (we visited in August), the river flows gently past, the herons teaching their offspring to fly, the bee eaters chirruping...its enough to send you gently off to sleep which is exactly what I did by the pool about 30 minutes after I arrived.
Claire is clearly a talented cook and dinner on the terrace was four tapas courses of locally sourced cheeses vegetables and delicious pudding. Washed down with a local Rosé wine with a side of fresh bread which we doused liberally in the Casa Olea olive oil made from the olive trees about 10 feet from your table. We finished the evening watching the shooting stars in the dark night sky (there really is no light pollution at all).

The room was large, views over the pool and distant hills. Bed huge and comfortable.

Breakfast was a huge spread of delicious homemade jams, tostada, cereals, meats cheeses and fruit. I wish we could have stayed longer- this place is a dream.

We were so lucky to stay at Casa Olea with Tim, Claire, Max, and Ruby this past June. We had booked the stay in midst of Covid with the hope that things would open up in time. As things were uncertain almost up until our trip, we had to initially cancel our reservation (to avoid cancellation fees). When it became clear we could go, I emailed Tim and he graciously and helpfully was able to get us rebooked which was quite kind. When we arrived, it turned out that we were the first and only guests at the Inn. It was my wife and I and our two teenage kids.

Tim and Claire were so hospitable and helpful during our stay. They cooked and offered delicious meals (even though we were the only guests) and guided us in terms of our visit to Granada and where to bike locally around Casa de Olea and in a great visit to Zuheros (and called local restaurants for us to find out what was open). Claire packed our lunches and a box of Casa Olea’s amazing olive oil (for us to bring on the plane). Tim and Claire even put out a full buffet breakfast (just for us). They truly care about their guests and clearly value and work hard at making stays as hospitable as possible (even though it was just us).

The place and location are truly incredible. The surrounding countryside is a marvel and we had some of the best bike rides and hikes in our lives. It worked for all of us (our kids could hike on their own, go to the pool or just stay in their room). Our only regret is that we could not have stayed longer!

Casa Olea was an amazing experience. The property itself is beautifully restored and tranquil. The surroundings and views are breath taking. It is spotlessly clean and all appropriate Covid precautions were taken.
Tim and Claire who run it were so welcoming and incredibly helpful. We were there to view a property and they know the area and helped with everything from booking taxis , advising restaurants and especially helping with getting our Covid tests and results.. all of which we would have really struggle. With without their help.
Our 16 ye old daughter described Casa Olea as “ Instagram perfect” which is probably the highest compliment from a teen!!
The pool area is beautifully peaceful and perfect for those wanting to lie in the sun and swim and those that want lovely shade to read and generally relax.
We had dinner at Casa Olea a few evenings we were there and the food was amazing, totally delicious and all local fresh local ingredients. Claire was also really helpful in changing things for our very fussy teen. The terrace you eat on is also stunning with beautiful views and peaceful. Breakfast were also fresh and delicious
Couldn’t recommend Casa Olea more!!!

Casa Olea is a superb small hotel surrounded by beautiful hills covered with olive groves. The proprietors, Tim and Claire, are wonderful, knowledgeable hosts providing guests with great ideas about what to do and where to walk in the fantastic natural park. The hotel decor reflects their interest in the wider world whilst retaining an exquisite and essentially Spanish ambiance. The ensuite rooms with shutters and a balcony are tastefully decorated. The beds are extremely comfortable. The meals are varied and deliciously home cooked with locally sourced ingredients. The swimming pool area has been beautifully designed in a lovely setting. Cleanliness is exceptional throughout the hotel. Thank you for a wonderful holiday!

At the helm of this quiet, 'secret' little Casa Rural, are Tim & Claire the owners who work tirelessly to make this a very special place. Casa Olea is tranquil. There are stunning views, endless birdsong (the dawn chorus is outstanding), gorgeous wildflowers, lots of great walks and places to visit. The meals are delicious starting from buffet breakfast and ending with fabulous evening meal. Packed lunches are also available. Throughout our stay we much appreciated the attentiveness of our hosts, their expert knowledge of the area, tips & hints, interesting conversations and impressive G&Ts. We have had many special holidays, but our fortnight stay at Casa Olea is in our top three alongside a safari in Tanzania and a tour of South Africa. This is one of the most unspoilt areas of Spain and worth exploring from your base at Casa Olea.

Everything about Casa Olea met or exceeded our expectations. The location is beautiful and calming. Hosts Tim & Claire are charming and exceptionally helpful. The food was delicious and the wine list featuring many local & regional wines was satisfying and well priced. Rooms are quite comfortable and spotlessly clean. We look forward to an opportunity to visit again and stay longer.

Tim and Claire have done an incredible job with their property. The setting in Andalusia is stunning - very peaceful. The house itself is charming - decorated in the local flavor that is both luxurious and rustic. Claire cooks amazing meals! She and Tim are warm welcoming hosts. Each day they gave us detailed suggestions for local days trips, hikes, bike rides. etc. Our first trip to Casa Olea was in September of 2018. We were supposed to go back this spring, but our trip was cancelled. We've booked a five night stay for September, and we can't wait to visit this beautiful place again!

The owners Tim and Claire made us very welcome and helped us to access the best things to enjoy in the local area. We enjoyed the evening meals on the terrace cooked by Claire and the interaction with other guests at meals. There was a really good atmosphere which we much enjoyed.

The rooms were large, clean and airy, with great views over the olives groves to the local mountains. We relaxed by the pool and did several local walks, all on the Casa Olea Wikiloc app. There’s cycling with bike hire available close by on the Olive Oil Greenway and Casa Olea has its own range of bikes for hire with local routes available for downloading to your GPS device.

We hope to return some day!

Cash Olea is a wonderful inn, in the middle of some great walking. The owners Tim and Clare could not have been more helpful and accommodating. Rooms are clean and airy, best views towards the river, good showers. Breakfast was a decent fresh selection including home made jams. We ate there two evenings as well - family style, so limited choice however Clare easily and happily accommodated our lactose intolerant friend. Very good home cooking and a decent selection of local wine. Everything had been thought through- laminated walking guides, a fire lit in the living room just to take the chill off in the evenings, great packed lunches for walking. Ruby the dog (mentioned in many other reviews) is a wonderful walking companion! Highly recommended, we wished we were there for longer and will definitely be back. Thank you

From the moment we arrived, Casa Olea felt like an oasis. The property is stunning and is perched in a peaceful spot on an olive grove with incredible views of the countryside. The interior is beautifully decorated and we stayed in the Nogal (walnut) Room with views of a walnut tree and an olive grove.

Tim and Claire are the most wonderful hosts. They are friendly and welcoming, and helped us to map out hikes, cycling routes and visits to nearby towns that we would not have found ourselves.

The dinners at Casa Olea deserve a review of their own! Claire is a phenomenal chef and all the meals were made with local and seasonal ingredients. Every dinner at Casa Olea was wonderful, with a couple of our favourites being albondigas (Spanish meatball soup) and the tapas night including local cheeses, meats, fresh salads and Spanish omelette.

From lovely breakfasts with a view to afternoons by the pool and dinners on the terrace watching the sunset, our time at Casa Olea was a dream holiday. We look forward to returning in the future and will be recommending this to our friends and family!

Hi! How long of a drive is this hotel from Ronda? Also how long of a drive to Malaga? Thanks!

Roads are new and uncrowned so driving is easy surrounded by beautiful lanscape. If you like curvey roads you'll love the driving. Distance and times are best found out on Google maps.
