I had a lovely overnight stay at Forda Farm, where Val and Rod made me feel very welcome. I stayed in the Tamar room, which was nicely decorated with a great shower! There were lovely touches such as the wine and fudge and it was spotless. The hospitality and Breakfast was also very good. I would definitely recommend this place... More

My husband, my daughter (3 and a half) and me, we spent a night at Forda farm in April with our 3 years old daughter and we all had a wonderful time. The place is very quiet and typical of the English contryside. Val and her family offered as a warm welcome and really made us fill at home. Her... More

From the moment we arrived, Val made us so welcome. She is the best sort of hostess. She joined our lively discussions and gave us an insight into farming life both in her native Scottish highlands and in Devon. Her cream tea alone is worth the visit.! Both rooms are spotless, with everything needed for a comfortable stay, including fudge, numerous... More

Well last time our grandchildren on the journey home said "When can we go back?" Well we did do last weekend. After about twenty 'Are we there yet' we arrived back at Forda Farm. The welcome feeling started as soon we drove in to the farm and parked the car. The family room was still smashing and the children made... More

We stayed here for one night en-route to visit relatives. We wished we could have stayed longer! The welcome we were given was wonderful - the cream tea delicious! We were delighted with our room and ensuite. It was very comfortable and the decor tasteful. Val went over and above to make our stay a pleasurable one. The little 'extras'... More

Stayed 2 nights in August 2014 in the family room, us and the 2 kids 10 & 7. Lovely room separate to the main house. Good facilities, lots of well received extras, wine, fudge, chocolates and a great en-suite. Val couldn't do enough for us. Lovely cooked breakfast and slept like a dream. We stayed here for 4 nights on our way home from a holiday in Cornwall. Val was so kind and welcoming, with cream tea ready on our arrival. The room was clean and tidy, with lots of extras above the usual tea and coffee. We had the evening meal on three nights and it was good home cooking. Breakfasts were... More

We stayed here for one night last weekend. After only a short time it was like visiting close family. The welcome was warm, friendly, and nothing was too much trouble. We took our young grandchildren with us and they were soon playing with Val's children as if they had known them for years. The family room was great with tea,... More

Found this on the Farm Stay website for 4 of us to stay on our way home and what a wonderful gem it is. The rooms were excellent, the warm welcome with the best cream tea ever and Val and her family made us feel at home. Great value and 100% recommendation..

What a lovely place, we enjoyed every minute from a warm welcome tea with val to a delicious evening meal. We all slept well in our beds (so quiet) and woke up to enjoy our breakfast, Ella said it was the best and can't wait to go back.
