My brother and I were lucky enough to score an upgrade to one of the villas set at the rear of the property. We had been cramped in small rooms for three weeks so separate bedrooms, lounge room, full sized bathroom and two floors of living space were a real luxury. Entirely self-contained including washing machine and fully equipped kitchen... More

Stayed here for 1 night but wish it had been longer. A beautiful setting, set just off the main road, which wasn't an issue as we sat outside in the bar garden area and heard hardly any traffic. The apartment was beautiful, clean, well equipped and lovely interior. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Restaurant was extremely busy so couldn't... More

We were surprised that the hotel was so close to the main road, but the hotel itself is beautiful. The staff are extremely helpful and friendly. We stayed in a Club Suite, which was very clean and an enormous comfortable bed and a very big walk in shower room. The fridge supplied was very handy but the buzzing overnight became... More

I have just stayed here with my family in a 2 bed lodge. Positives- well organised and friendly helpful staff. Well equipped lodge. Peacocks. Good base for travelling around Cornwall / Devon. Pool/restaurant/entertainment and pub on site. Negatives-no mobile signal. Expensive daily wifi fees which is useless. The furniture in the lodge is dated and needs modernising. Shiny synthetic bedding... More

Firstly, the service is excellent - you could not be looked after better anywhere. As we were going to be there for some time (12 nights) we rented an apartment for 4 - although only two of us were going to use it - and a good job too, I would have hated to try and squeeze 4 people into... More

This very pretty thatched complex is a bit confusing for me. There are a few entrances and the complex offers different kinds of accommodation. There seems to be a golf club atmosphere in one part, family condos in another and a main entrance which is difficult to locate. The staff was energetically friendly, though there was no assistance offered with bags... More

Stayed in 1 bedroom lodge (July 2016) - 3 Adults. Accommodation was excellent - absolutely everything you would have at home was in the lodge, from iron and ironing board to coffee maker and tea pot. Parking outside the lodge (permit given on check in) – not sure what would happen if you had more than one car so worth... More

Booked a two bedroom lodge for the four of us. It was very big. It had two bathrooms. Nicely furnished. Well equipped. Food in the restaurant was excellent value Only downside is wi-fi is very expensive. About eight pounds a day. In this day and age that is inexcusable. Staff very friendly and helpful. Overall a really nice place

While the room itself was nice, the regimented attitude really lets the place down. We called ahead to let the reception know we would be arriving late, we were sternly told that bookings arriving later than 11pm are released. It wasn't until we argued that we had paid fully in advance that they relented. Never had this issue elsewhere. Wifi... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
As an old coaching inn from the 15th century, Woodford Bridge Country Club provided food and shelter for weary travelers, yet, while a warm welcome is still guaranteed, the standards and exclusivity of the Country Club have changed somewhat over the centuries. The thatched inn, the focal point of Woodford Bridge, still provides sustenance for guests in search of a superb meal in the friendly surroundings of the bistro.
