Detailed Reviews
We had booked a hotel called The Hotel Belvedere as soon as we walked in reception we where told we would have to move to a Hotel about a Mile up the road due to a problem with our rooms . They told us we would have to walk despite my Dad being disabled and we had a Child 3 years of age plus heavy luggage for 7 people in 28 degree heat , We refused and got Taxis paid by the Hotel Belvedere , The Hotel Belvedere we had booked had entertainment every night for both children and Adults alike The Hotel Maris Bellos which they sent us too had nothing , apart from a Greek dancing night on the Saturday which was cancelled . Be wary about The Hotel Maris Bellos All inclusive You do not get free Cocktails as we would of done at our booked Hotel Belvedere , You get their Beer and local spirits etc ONLY and on some days they had ran out of the ones you wanted . The Cocktails will cost you £8 Euros each . 2 of the 3 rooms had air conditioning that did not work despite several reports to the desk , So on 2 rooms they had to leave the Patio doors open thus resulting in Ant and Mosquito bites for 7 days . The Snacks advertised where only Cake and Ice Cream , where at The Hotel Belvedere it was Ice Cream cones , Sandwiches , Toast. Cake , The Pool will only let you go in till 8.00pm plus zero entertainment for kids or adults alike .The only plus was The Chef Thomas who could not do enough for us , and the Young Lady on reception who booked us in both Smiling and well mannered .Again on Checking out different person a male they fully expected us to walk with heavy luggage old people and a 3 year old Child a Mile in 28 degree Heat . Until we refused . and where booked taxis to the Belvedere , Which amazed us all ,as the Coach that picked everyone up passed the Hotel Marius Bellos going to the Airport ? If they where being Nice they spoke in English. But if you complained about anything they would switch to Greek between them , a few other people had the same thing moved from the Hotel Belvedere which they had booked for a Holiday with their holiday booking favourite things entertainment and expectations

The hotel is in a nice location overlooking the sea, has a private beach which is not special but the waters are beautiful as well as a beautiful area with a swimming pool. It is a quiet hotel and ideal for a quiet holiday. Unfortunately, however, the cleaning is insufficient ...both in our room and in the playground which was too dirty whenever my children were going. In the room behind the bunkers we found forgotten items from previous vacationers... Dust dust in the wardrobe, dust dust in both the floor and the wardrobe, on the 2nd floor all that is 4 according to the hotel elevator which was also very old and made noise! The balcony permanently in the water whenever we used air conditioning. Very cheap room construction...even the iron for the towels in the bathroom came out and we put it again and again. All as ready to collapse inside the all iclusive room we chose. The room smelled from the time we first entered and the bathroom had neither ventilation nor window. I was asking to put me health paper as well as foot towel for the bathroom. The pillows as well as some layers completely uncomfortable. The sheets were very thin and cheap which was probably small in size as the bedroom continued to leave and remained uncovered in places the layer. The food was generally good and the staff willing to serve and justify the unjustified. It ⁇ needs a serious renovation. I don't think it's worth the money and I ⁇ 't choose it again even though it's a good location.

Nice, clean hotel. Clean rooms. The staff is very friendly. The food was good and delicious. There are plenty of sun loungers around the pool, probably because the hotel was half empty. Sunbeds and umbrellas by the sea should be repaired.
Staff should clean tables and chairs in the dining room more often. There are no shops around the hotel, so take all-inclusive service.

Hotel's Favorite
Well, I don’t usually do a review until I leave, but what’s the point, especially with the facilities, food, drinks, beautiful scenery and such generous hosts and guests, this good!! plus it gives me chance to have a rest and chill out by the pool for the rest of the day.
Well, where do I start, well it must begin with the lovely Elena Panaretou, the
Reservations Manager here at Corfu Maris Bellos in Benitses, Corfu.
From a quick email to visiting this stunning hotel, nothing was ever to much for Elena and the staff here.
WE chatted about doing a collaboration together especially as I’m visiting Corfu on my book tour, “Paul James’s Corfu Odyssey” published by Greek news & Radio Florida.
The hotel offers an all-inclusive package, which includes local dishes and the salads, are just stunning.
First morning here, I popped down to the restaurant, and to be honest I expected the normal all inclusive fare, but I was really pleased, Corfiot sausages beautifully cooked, an amazing choice of cereal, fruit, toast and a continental breakfast if you wished…which I did to accompany my cooked breakfast… and no baked beans, which is perfect.
Lunchtime, once again some traditional corfiot cuisine, fish, meat and vegetarian dishes a plenty.
Evening meals combined another vast selection, nothing to be disappointed about here.
And with snacks in between the set meal times and the bar opening from 10am until 10pm, leaves you the perfect opportunity to just relax next to the poolside, overlooking the sea with views of mainland Greece.
If the heat gets a little too much you can treat yourself to a spa, with very reasonable prices.
Or just have a chill in your room, with free air conditioning, once again with views over the sea.
In fact, which I found so appealing, was that I could easily turn over in bed and have direct views of the sea. Perfect for a lazy day.
The hotel is situated about 5 minutes out of Benitses by car, but a comfortable 20-minute walk on flat ground. Public transport passes in both directions, so for a couple of Euros you can get to Corfu Town, giving you perfect access to the rest of Corfu with the well serviced public transport or you can jump on the bus in the opposite direction which will take you down South.
I just wanted to thank the amazing staff here, my apologies for not remembering all your names, nothing personal, some days I can’t remember my own!!
Leonidas, Spyridoulas and Stefafanos, went above and beyond to be helpful, courteous, and polite, but a special mention to Chef Thomas (Tom) who invited me to his masterclass in the art of Flambé cooking.
So would I visit again, yes without any doubt, in fact I’m discussing coming back just before I leave to go back to England, to showcase a couple of my dishes with the chefs at it’s sister restaurant Hotel Maris a few minutes down the the road.
So, Watch this space….
So please give this hotel a try next time you visit Corfu, you will not be disappointed.

DO NOT BOOK HERE!
They overbook the hotel so when you turn up you have nowhere to stay.
We was lucky to of been given a suite for 4 nights of our holiday due to overbooking but half way through our stay we was told we needed to pack and move to another room.
We did and was down in reception for 9am and had to wait almost 3hrs for another room to come Availible.
This was a everyday occurrence I've seen many family's turn up here and have to be moved ro their other hotel down the road which has no pool.
Don't book all inclusive the food is terrible, tasteless & repetitive same thing Most days some food is edible if you like fresh bread & salad.
The bar is empty nothing but cheap wines & spirits if you want water on all inclusive be prepared to pay for it. It's not included unless out of a tap.
Cheap lager wine and 2 spirits Availible on all inclusive brandy & whisky ouzo! That's it rest you have to pay for.
Snacks are watermelon & ice cream and sandwiches in sliced bread wrapped up in cling film and just left on the bar in the heat.
Rooms are ok. Apart from the shower that floods the full bathroom.
View is amazing from the balcony but the staff and his it's run let it down.
Not suitable for kids they wouldn't like the food unless they lived on chips.
The pop on all inclusive is like soda water. No taste.
Don't recommend the all inclusive package at all complete waste of money I ate out most evenings. View from pool would be better if they cleaned the glass screens around the pool as you cannot see through them because they are so dirty.
Sunbeds broken & not enough for everyone in the hotel.
Aircon only works in the restaurant they have it in your room and tell you it only works when door is closed it doesn't work at all or very little & that was in both our rooms.
Lumpy pillows and you only get one!
Gym isn't open either. Tennis courts are a dumping ground for broken beds & rubbish.
Pool doesn't open till 10am

So first of all i must say the view from your room is amazing...that is the 1 thing that makes this place 4 star. In the pictures you see lots of lovely looking food....forget that...i am not fussy at all...but for all inclusive it was shocking. Breakfast was cold egg, bacon, grilled toms, boiled egg, bread that everyone had handled! Cereal or bit of fruit. You could actually see what it was at breakfast even though not nice...but lunch and dinner you didn't have a clue what it was! You had to try and work it out! But always cold food...never hot. Oh apart from the lettuce that was put out every day! And snacks well the smallest ball of ice cream if they had any and the girl who's name i dont know unfortunately was soooo rude never wanted you to have any...the way she looked at you as if you was an inconvenience! We was put in this hotel because there was a problem at the Belvedere where i had booked and there were no rooms for us there...and THE only thing i have positive to say is the view. The toilets downstairs didn't have soap the whole week i was there and needed some TLC ...the cleaners came in each day for 5 mins ...tops! Not much cleaning...we spent so much money on food because there was NEVER anything for us to eat. No entertainment...no cocktails with A/C...they run out of coke! Table's were left uncleaned in pool area for hours...definitely not 4 star more like 2...the responce from owner will poo poo everything I've said here but believe me its the TRUTH ...i would never go back.

Horrible Experience
the owner is a truly professional cheater
once arrived 11pm they told us that for electricity problems we were obliged to move to another hotel (Corfu Maris, under the same owner company but much less comfortable, i.e. no swimming pool) and we did (by own taxi) as we were exhausted for the long trip and as we believed it was true.
Second night again, electricity problems, that actually weren’t because all floors had lots of towels drying and light in it. so then it was A BIG LIE!!!
we pretended to sleep there as we booked in late may and that all this was totally unacceptable as the other hotel was ridiculous and no honest in all of this.
at the end WE SLEPT IN THE HALL on the leather sofa and we had to use the swimming pool shower as well the dirty toilets used by all people.
Third day, early morning finally they gave us a room, the room obviously they gave to other people and not to us.
A part this, there were an infinite things that were wrong in this hotel:
1.no drainage at first usage of the shower in bedroom and mould and stains at the bottom
2.only two girl on duty for all the cleaning of all nearly 50 bedrooms
3.hot temperature in daylight the restaurant area even if air cond was on
4.chairs made in fabric material so then impossible to let them cleaned as well the tables were poorly cleaned
5.always the same food at breakfast and anti-hygienic as for example chocolate and marmalades taken out with same spoon touched by everyone
6.lots of pool deckchairs broken
7.glass windows all not being cleaned
8.tennis camp used as repository, basically closed
9.spa /sauna closed not used not accessible room used as repository
10.difficult access to the beach due to stones / wreckage or no light during evenings

This hotel is a nightmare, you will be lucky if there is food left for you unless everyone goes when restaurant opens, same food day and night, no entertainment they said there was going to be entertainment but yes it was cancelled. The afternoon snacks are a few peanuts or plastic cup of ice cream, staff do not interact, disability unfriendly, alcohol absolutely tasteless, showers over floods the whole room. Food is not to standard and desert is a bit of fruit and slice of cake. Please DO NOT waste your hard earned money at this 2.5 star hotel they tell us it’s 4 star and that’s the biggest joke. We intend to sue our travel agents for not advising us. We booked to go to Belvedere across the street but they forced us to go to Bellos. Holiday Gems were the travel agents

This resulted in us not being able to find somwhere else to stay and we wasted vacation days and money on flights. Unserious hotel DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL

I really don't like having to write reviews like this but people should be aware of how bad this place is. We booked a quad room through Hotels.Com, we arrived at 9:30 pm. We paid up front and then were directed to a room that was a twin, clearly unsuitable for a party of three. They took our money without pointing out that our room was not available. The guy on reception was pretty hopeless as were Hotels.COM. Eventually we were given a more suitable room for the night. Why take my money IN FULL without telling us there was a problem. Add to this
No lifeguard either at the pool or the private beach
No depth markings around the pool so we had no idea if the pool was safe for my grandson
A wall at the side of the pool that had previously supported a glass partition which had been removed, had a six foot drop on to concrete on the other side, there were no warning signs or markings.
The food selection was poor and was certainly not worth the money paid for "all inclusive"
On the subject of all inclusive, they would only serve drinks containing ice, I assume to save money as no other reason was given.
They told my grandson on more than one occasion that vanilla ice cream had run out when they clearly served it to other people right after. I guess you had to be lucky depending on who was on bard duty at any particular time.
We had the distinct impression that we were being persecuted for complaining about their mis management.
We were over charged by 5% but did eventually get back the difference in cost between what we nooked and what was provided on the first night.

Response from Corfu Maris, Πωλήσεις at Corfu Maris Bellos
Responded Aug 30, 2024
Hello mis, The matter of the room mistake solved the next day, we wanted to give you the money back but you didnt took them till the last day. You have to admit that your behavior was aggresive and thats stands to reason because you were tired from the trip but lets be humans. We permit the entry of kids in pool, if there is a watch from parents and additionally there is a lifeguard resposible for the pools. The variaty of foods consists from at least 6 dishes and 6 salads. We understand that you might wanted more variety but in general our costumers can find something for them. You have unlimited refills at our bar and you can tell the barman your preferences. The thing with the ice cream was not personal, we just refill our stock. Happened to you every day? You were not persecuted, but it is challenging for the team to have costumers that they are searching problems to every solution. Finally the thing with the overcharging was not the hotels problem but platform's that you made the reservation, you had admitted it too. Kindly reminder that the next time you go on vaccation, try to be on vaccation. sincerely, Corfu Maris Bellos Team

There isn’t a gym in the hotel. And it’s not very close to the “centrum”. So I’d guess the nearest gym would be 20-25 minutes away with car. I suggest you get a hotel closer to the centrum!
Hier antwoorden jullie niet op hé,
