If you ride its heaven! If you don't ride...its still heaven! Maura was wonderful and the place felt like home. We could and did do day trips of every type and description and the horseback riding was something from a dream! You could base your entire Tuscan vacation from here. You do need a car for this area of Tuscany... More

Maura and Enrico were lovely hosts. Their daughter Marina was delightful. The accomodations were so perfect - very clean and authentic Tuscan style decor. I want to go back when the pool is open! The 3 hour trek on horseback was amazing. The horses are very well-behaved and we were well-matched with our horses. The swim with the horses was... More

The owner is great, rooms are cute and beside the horseback riding they have home made honey, oil, .... and for the guests they organize dinner together so you can meet other travelers, share your opinions, chat, relax with great food and vine.

We decided to stay at this property for 2 nights purely because our 7 year old is horse mad and it was her birthday. We stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment which is extremely basic. We had dinner one night (traditional Tuscan bistecca) which was lovely. Certain things in the apartment are in dire need of replacement or updating.

Going riding was part of our "must-do" list in Tuscany. I found Podere Palazzone online, and chose them over the myriad of other 'trail rides' in the area because of the range of experience levels they offered. If you are looking for a true ride through Tuscany on horseback, no matter what experience level, this is the place to go.... More

Booked us in here for a night while visiting the Ducati Factory in Bologna. Main reason being that my wife is a serious equestrian (fanatic?) so I wanted to surprise her with a morning ride. The staff at Podere Palazzone were very accommodating and set us up with the stable next door (2 min drive of 10 min walk through... More

We stayed here for 2 nights in early September 2013, on the last leg of our honeymoon tour around Tuscany. This was by far the best place we stayed in of our whole trip. The accommodation could not be more perfect. We got a large studio flat on the ground floor of this classic Tuscan farmhouse which has been renovated... More

This is our second time at Podere Palazzone and we couldn't have been more pleased. Maura and Enrico are wonderful hosts; helpful, welcoming and kind. They both went out of their way to make certain that my 11year-old twin daughters and I were happy and comfortable. We traveled here two years ago specifically for the riding, and were so pleased,... We stayed at the accommodation for a week and for 4 of those days we were without any water, sometimes no electricity, and as a result we were unable to have a shower, wash dishes, clean up or cook which meant we had to eat out and purchase all water. We were given a 5 gallon container which we had... More

We stayed in one of the 2 apartments here in the last week of August. Our hostess, Maura, advised when we arrived that there was no water! I pointed out that I should have been informed of this before arrival...to give an option as to change dates/ location ! However, we had to carry our own water to wash, flush... More
