Beautiful, very clean and comfortable. The appartements are surrounded by a peaceful garden and have a beautiful view on a bay. We arrived by bus and the owner met us at the bus stop with his car to bring us and our luggage up the hill. There is a supermarket and restaurants close by. It takes about 10 minutes to walk down to the restaurants and the main beach. The way up requires some effort but we did it! If you have lots of bags from the supermarket to carry, the owner can come and get you.
Set just up a hill in Paleocastritsa a peaceful oasis of quiet over looking a bay. Apartments clean and tidy with everything you need including an iron and hairdryer .. The family that own the apartments are most welcoming and friendly and go out of their way to help and make your stay memorable, even offered lifts up and down the hill to the bay . Nothing was too much trouble and we couldn't believe how hospitable they were . got home and tried to re book for next year but all my dates are already full :-( Not surprised. Loved the place and didn't want to leave !
Ipsia apartments are a peaceful oasis above the beautiful beaches of Paleokastritsa with fantastic views out to sea from the south facing balconies and lots of shade in the lovely gardens. The apartments are purpose built with really comfy beds, a kitchen and a modern bathroom with proper plumbing! The apartments are naturally cool with a through breeze from the kitchen window (overlooking some old gnarled olive trees) to the French windows but also have good aircon. The owner is really friendly and helpful - happy to give you lifts to/from the centre of Paleokastritsa and tell you where to get shopping, have a meal etc. There are lots of beaches with crystal clear waters and excellent snorkelling within walking distance. We hired a boat for the day to cruise to beaches inaccessible by land with Motorboats (Ampelaki bay) - really friendly and helpful team who are very honest about the price and petrol. We paid 55 euros for a four stroke engine boat (complete with icebox, sun canopy and floatation cube to get your things to shore without getting them wet) and our petrol was just over 8 euros rounded down to 5! We noticed other rental companies charging a round 10 euros for everyone even if the tourist was only out for a few hours. Lots of nice restaurants overlooking the bay with good food. Loved it.…
I have been to Corfu five times now and my husband has been 12 times over the last decade or so and we can honestly say that these apartments are the best we have stayed in. Absolutely immaculately clean and well done out. Look like they have been freshly decorated and the one we stayed in had a nice modern kitchen. The bathroom was the same as others we have stayed in - a bit dated but spotlessly clean. Danos, the owner of Ipsia apartments, is very friendly and accommodating and we can't wait to go back. The only thing you should consider is that Ipsia apartments are very high up a steep hill, so if you struggle to get up hills and won't have a car or moped etc then you may want to rethink. We are young and fit and managed the hill without too much trouble, although our legs were burning at the top. Either way, at the bottom of the hill you are right on the main beach in Paleokastritsa, so we were happy with the location. Nevertheless, we loved Ipsia apartments and will definitely return next year.…
Wonderful location overlooking monastery. Fabulous views and great value for money. Basic but adequate facilities . Plenty of parking space and short walk to tavernas and beach, albeit uphill on the way back but a minor inconvenience for such a fabulous view. Very welcoming owner.
Myself and my partner had booked the Ipsia apartments quite some time ago with Booking.com. A few weeks before we were scheduled to arrive, we had pre-holiday nerves and decided to ring the apartments to confirm our booking. We were told everything was arranged and they would see us soon. Due to the fact that these are apartments and not a hotel, we were expecting to be waiting around for someone to come and give us our keys once we arrived, however we were greeted instantly. I cannot fault the lovely staff at Ipsia. Our room was beautiful, cosy and perfect for a relaxing get away. Every other day our room was cleaned which we were not expecting! We were greeted every morning and evening when we walked past the owners and if we needed everything they were at our every need. The only issue was with the hill that we had to climb to get to the apartments. However, we just took it at a slow, leisurely pace and it wasn't a problem at all. If you need any shopping, the owners offer to pick you up so you don't have to carry heavy bags. This was the most amazing holiday and it was all down to the lovely people at Ipsia. 100% recommend!! …
Lovely little apartment, only stayed for two nights but has everything you need if you're looking for a cheap place to stay. The place was very clean, it had air con and beds were comfy. The owner George was very pleasant and gave us info about the area, there are three beaches not to far. However if your not much of a hiker there is quite a steep hill to get to the apartment we had a car which was very handy. Would recommend for a couple nights stay.
We stayed at Ipsia apartments at the beginning of April. A warning to those travelling at this time of the year; there is very little open in early April although this gives a great opportunity to explore the island without it feeling crowded. There are still restaurants/ tavernas open but do not expect to be able use all the facilities you would find operating during the normal season. The property is situated at the top of a steep (but not insurmountable) road amongst numourous olive trees and offers a lovely view of the bay below. The town is less than five minutes walk down the hill with the beach only another minutes stroll away. The apartments themeselves are very clean and well presented, each offering a small balcony/ terrace type area to enjoy the sunshine/ views. Cooking facilities are basic but functional and more than adequate (although if cooking for more than 4 you may have a challenge!). Although it has no swimming pool there is a pool bar less than a minute away (these are open to the public as long as you buy a drink/ some food). The owners were very helpful, friendly and welcoming. Just lovely people! Anastasios (Tasos), the owner's son, was more than happy to help us arrange car hire and recommend places to visit on the island. We were lucky enough to have sampled the olive oil made by the owner George (made from the olive trees around the apartments) which was sublime! We will certainly be returning in the near future. Highly recommended. We hope you love it as much as we did!…
We stayed at Ipsia Apartments last week and had a superb time. The apartments are up a very steep hill, however it is nice to be away from the main road and amongst the olive trees. We walked up and down several times a day and it was never a problem for us. The owner, George, is always willing to offer transport up and down the hill and provided us with a very helpful brief tour of the locality in his car. He goes above and beyond to offer advice and assistance when required, without being imposing. During our stay we decided to embark upon a walk to a nearby town- George kindly explained a suitable route and left us a couple of sticks outside our apartment to assist. An excellent host and a genuinely nice guy! The apartment (economy studio) was basic, yet serviced regularly and was always clean. All in all a great place to stay! …
Had the pleasure of staying at Ipsia for 3 nights - and we loved every minute. Very relaxing with lovely surrounding but the best thing about the place is the owner, George, who was amazing: helpful, happy and a great person. We will be back for many more visits.
