We were on holiday with our 3 year old daughter and we really liked it!! The hotel is very quiet, away from the confusion of people that often the Algarve has, and is only 5min drive from the beach of Luz. No big luxuries, but it's all very arranged, well taken care of and clean and has a very good outdoor pool area. The rooms are very comfortable and clean and the breakfast was very good. We always dined at the hotel and everything was great too, dinner buffet with very well cooked food, we liked everything! And I have to emphasize the sympathy of all staff, especially the gentleman responsible in the area of meals, was a sympathy with us and very attentive with details for our daughter. The only less good aspect to mention, is even the time of dinner that is served only until 21:00, we find it very early for those on holiday and in the middle of summer season, who try to enjoy the beaches as long as possible. In our opinion it is the only aspect to improve, at least in summer time.

Very suitable hotel. I only chose bed and breakfast. Good rooms with air conditioning & refrigerator. Water bottles (for a fee) in your room. Lovely swimming pool with sun beds, pool towels can be borrowed (free). Tip; take a rental car, Luz center, the beach and the rest is just a bit too far to walk (over and over again). Rented a car at the hotel through Luzcar, very well organized & received tips. No need to use toll roads. The breakfast was very extensive & delicious. The room was clean with good sanitary facilities, good beds. Very friendly staff. Recommended!

Impressive, the room is always super clean and beautiful. What can I say about the staff... they are wonderful, friendly, attentive, always ready to answer any questions with a huge smile. They have treated us very well, making us feel infinitely comfortable. The breakfast is spectacular, there is a wonderful man constantly cutting ham... everything is super delicious and they bring pastries made by them, which uffff!! It is very close and you can walk to Praia da Luz. The pool is perfect and it's never too crowded. We loved it, that's the summary.

Beautiful villas. Well maintained with excellent staff and a great buffet breakfast. Staff couldn’t do enough. Quiet location with car parking. Ideal for us to explore the south and a little of the west coast of the Algarve. Nearby Luz is a little gem and quick trip to Lagos for a beautiful narrow little centre with great restaurants and shopping.

Small, cozy hotel with nice garden. Some rooms in the main house and the others in fine outbuildings. Friendly staff who want to make you feel as comfortable as possible. Rooms are okay with bqlkon, drying rack, fridge and lovely shower and are cleaned well every day. The beds are very hard and there was unfortunately no kettle. There is a parking lot.

The place is quiet, ideal if you want to rest. Spacious rooms, clean and not very noisy (except for the refrigerator, which I had to unplug because of the noise it made) It didn't close the door to the terrace of our room, and it had a kind of rod to block it from the inside 👎 The staff was very friendly, they even showed us to the room. Have just returned from a week at the Luzmar Vilas - a great resort and hotel but best booked with car hire, as the hotel is on the outskirts of the resort and the town's amenities. (Approx 20 min walk from town centre) Hotel is well presented and the rooms are clean and comfortable great for those that like a smaller base for your holiday. The breakfast comes with a wide range of food from the traditional brits favourite to a continental selection, they will also provide (at an additional fee) an adequate evening meal but this has to be booked at breakfast and you only have the choice of 2 dishes - to be honest we ate out for all but the first evening we were there!! A couple of negatives - the maids clean the rooms from 8.00 am onwards and there aren't any do not disturb signs for the doors so they can wake you if you're not an early bird and sometimes they don't knock on the door!, secondly there are no tea or coffee making facilities in the room (you'll have to bring your own or purchase a kettle) . Apart from these small let downs we had a great time - if you want a swish. big corporate hotel then this isn't for you, we have stayed in more luxurious 4 star accomodation but this was a comfortable clean smaller hotel with no big attractions or fuss - great to unwind.

Just returned from a week staying at the Luzmar Villas. Great place to stay, it's very clean, the staff are friendly and speak very good English. The room had good facilities:- TV, air conditioning, telephone and fridge - plus large towels! There are 32 apartments and we went at a very quiet time of year - so if you are after peace and quiet, this is the best time & place to go. If you don't like walking (20 min walk to beach and Luz centre) you could hire a car, but we quite liked the walk each day. Restaurants were good, but you are a bit limited if you don't like fish - try the sardines they are fantastic. Also we never had a bad bottle of red wine whilst we were there and you don't have to pay a lot for them either. We could get a decent bottle of red in the supermarket for about 2.50 Euros! One word of warning though at this time of year the sea (being the Atlantic) is not particularly warm and I only managed to go in up to my knees!.

Four attractive small buildings around a pool with gardens and pleasant views, plenty of sun beds and umbrellas. Very quiet with approx 1 mile (1500metres) walk to nearest town of Luz, which had plenty of places to eat drink relax etc. Nice sandy beach and promenade to walk along.
LuzMar Villas itself, helpful and friendly receptionists, excellent service, good breakfast served 8am-10am. Good size room, balcony & bathroom, TV, air con, safe, parking etc.
You would need a car if a) you were staying more than 4 or 5 days or b) you don't like walking. We were there 4 days and did not bother with a car. Good bus service to Lagos, coastal walk from Luz- Lagos for the adventerous! Approx 1 hour drive from Faro airport.
All in all, good value for money, a sunny & peaceful break for any age ( although no under 18s). Would recommend and would return without doubt if visiting the Algarve again.

WiFi is fine in the rooms.....The beach and the promenade are a good 25 minute walk away downhill.....If you come out of the hotel and walk to the left and left again you can walk to the sea and sit on the rocks takes about 15 minutes
