Having booked this holiday about 6 months prior to travel, I was somewhat concerned by the negative reviews which had been left for this hotel. It came as quite a surprise to find that the room we were given had recently been refurbished and was of a quite high standard, room, view and size, always cleaned very well on our...

I write this review as someone who has visited the Algarve, specifically Praia da Luz, at least once a year the past 20 years or so. The positives: the location, it has a pool. The negatives: it is not a 4 star hotel. I don't know where they get their ratings from but whoever rated it 4* should be suspended,...

Booked 2 Ground Floor rooms for 3 nights whilst attending a family funeral. Didn't require a shower in the en-suite as we just had to stand in our bedroom under the water dripping from the upstair terrace. Their solution? Move rooms? NO! Just wiped the drips on the ceiling and wiped the floor. Hot breakfast was a disgrace, Bacon appears...

We spent one night here as part of a walking holiday. The hotel is located close to the beach and a selection of restaurants / bars. The hotel itself is very dated. The facilities have seen better days. We had to move room because the window to our otherwise accessible balcony would not lock. The staff were happy to facilitate...

Very tired hotel, needs money spent on infrastructure, though gardens and grounds are beautiful all around is shabby. Cracks and paint peeling, stained walls which should be white, broken tiles on pool, the list is endless. Upgraded room was functional, but not 4 star, very basic furniture, clean but only just OK and after one long shower or bath no...

We stayed in this hotel in Dec 2016 - when we arrived there was no member of staff at reception and after hanging about for a while we went round to the kitchen to ask the cook to get us the receptionist. We were eventually attended to - got to our room which was nice and warm - considerate of...

My wife and I stayed here over the New Year for 10 days. Just B&B Room was large and clean with a very nice balcony. Bathroom was also fine. Breakfast was buffet as expected with LOADS of different choices to suit all. The only very slight criticism was that the plates could have been warmer for the hot food. The...

Had a really great stay. Food was really impressive, wide variety in the evening. Lovely fresh breads for breakfast. Room was clean and good size with nice balcony. Will definitely be going back again.
