We booked a week here from the 14th Sept and had the best time. The small family run hotel was right on the beach, which although public, was in a secluded spot which we had pretty much to ourselves and the other guests. All rooms had either a balcony or terrace, all overlooking the beach. We went half board which meant we had breakfast and dinner provided, which was also really good. If you're looking for a good, relaxing hotel, this is the one. The town of Thassos was just a 7 euros cab ride or a pleasant 30 minute walk. We had such a good time that we didn't even explore the rest of the island. Maybe we'll do that next year...

Just got back after a week's stay at the Villa Nisteri.. my 3rd stay here and it just get's better and better.. our room was clean, comfortable, sheets/towels changed regularly, new bathroom/large shower was great.. Dislike Half-Board normally but following a multi-choice Breakfast, this place gives you the opportunity to go and swim, snorkel, walk or explore and know that your going to come back to a hearty meal on the Taverna Terrace overlooking Thassos Bay.. Perfect spot on Nisteri Beach and an easy walk into Thassos Town.. taxi back if you've had a drink.. it isn't expensive.. or just finish the evening here with a glass of wine, or two, and just pop back to your room.. This Family will go out of their way to help you enjoy a relaxing, chilled holiday, so don't complain about anything.. speak to them politely and they will bend over backwards to make your holiday memorable!

This is a lovely quiet hotel. There are 20 rooms and a taverna. Our rooms were very nice ,recently renovated and large enough for us. Rooms 401 and 402 had great views and had everything we needed apart from a free fridge (It's 2 euros a day for personal use). The air con was very efficient. The owners were friendly and laid back, everything in the hotel and it's immediate grounds was spotless with lovely planting. We were half board with tui. The starter was fixed , it was always home made and the portions were large...virtually a meal in itself some days. The main was chosen from around seven dishes including the Greek dish of the day which you were gently encouraged to try. Again the portions were large and of excellent quality. Dessert was fixed and varied from cake to ice cream to a bowl of cherries. If you rejected the dessert no alternative was offered (not that we asked!) The beach was wonderful, the water calm and shallow and free sunbeds were appreciated. Observations, not necessaily criticism were that there that were a lot of steps for the elderly or infirm in 30 degree plus heat. Secondly we found the hotel wonderfully quiet especially at night but not so the beach. We must have hit the beginning of the school holidays. Sunloungers were quickly taken by families from nearby apartments ...several came by car as it was such a lovely beach. Doubtless they paid the 5 euros a day so were entitled to be there. Added to that coach loads of children came during the second week, one after another throughout the day.Very well behaved and supervised but not the tranquil atmosphere we were expecting. Testament to it being such a lovely beach! Having said that I would do it all again just arrive maybe a week or two earlier than the end of June. Lastly the driveway was steep and some would struggle with cases both going up and down. Phew! That's all....it's wonderful...just book!!!!

Best hotel in Thassos for sure. If you want beach, silence, restaurant, shade, good food, relaxing greek music, wonderful, clean rooms than this hotel is the best choice. We had a great time and will try to come back for sure. The owners are nice and kind people, family run business. Greetings to Giorgos, Antonis, Frau Irene and all the staff! Keep up the good work.

I have visited Thassos and this hotel many times but never stayed. My first stay this year and it lives up to my expectations. Set on a hill above a sandy beach with fantastic views from all around. George and his family have been running this hotel since his father had the idea to build it. From renovation to serving that cold Mythos the family does it all. The rooms are small but very adequate. Bathroom had been renovated and the shower was amazing. Views from the balcony were amazing also. Breakfast is basic and served inside the hotel but you can take your food and sit in the restaurant overlooking the beach and sea for a fantastic view. Half board option with TUI so evening meals included. Choose what you want from the choice at reception after breakfast or choose to go in to town the choice is yours. Food is all home made and very tasty. No complaints whatsoever. Nice choice of wines on the menu as well as draft Mythos and bottled beer. Beach is lovely and just steps from the taverna. Sea is easy to access with just a few pebbles at the edge. My favourite beach on the island. You can walk in to town in around 25 mins or a taxi is 6 euros. All the staff work so hard to keep this place spotless and provide service with a smile. Thank you George and the family for making our holiday. Stuart & Sharon

Words cannot express how wonderful this hotel is... the recently renovated rooms are lovely, the spacious bathroom with a drench shower which was immaculate with housekeeping every day and extremely comfortable beds, are just for starters. The location is great, right on the beach with fabulous views but just a short distance from Thassos Town. Your evening meal is in the taverna overlooking the beach and is all home cooked, with plenty of choice and absolutely delicious. Finally the staff and all the Family are wonderful, nothing is too much trouble, working extremely hard so your stay is so chilled & memorable, special thanks to George and Tony, the owner's son's who are wonderful and staff Adrienne & Manolas who served perfect G&T's & Mythos, just what we needed after the last extremely emotional 2years. We found a little bit of paradise, made some wonderful new friends and cannot wait to return next year to see everyone again.

I didn't want to write a review, I want to keep this hidden gem a secret all to myself. I have travelled all over the world and never booked the same place twice, but within days of coming home I had booked Villa Nisteri again for the earliest possible date. I can't fault it, the family are so lovely, service from the main waiter George is amazing, and the food, wow. Travelled with a fussy child who was always happy, I loved the authentic greek cuisine, different dishes every night and a great lunch menu, and one of the best red wines I have ever tasted. The view and location is perfect, you can walk into town or to the supermarket if you wish, but there is no need to leave the hotel area. The sea is great for swimming and snorkeling, the rooms are well equipped and with lovely views, the only bad point is, nope, there isn't one.

Breathtaking view from the balcony, easy access to the beach anf exceptional, friendly atmosphere, thats are the strengths of this entity. The suites on the top floor, we occupied, are not big, even the bathrooms were even tiny but the guests spend most of time on the sandy beach, with sunbeds and umbrellas. The staff is extremally helpful and polite, The rooms are very clean and the breakfasts eaten on the terrace are unforgetable. Some interesting taverns in Limenas are not very far from villa and almost whole distance could be walked along the beach. Great memories and hope for return next season.

A gem of a place, right on the beach. Family run and nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was the usual, cooked, cereals, fruit, yogurt, bread, cold meats and cheese. Let's be honest if you couldn't vary breakfast with the choices on offer then you must dine exceptionally well at home.Set menu for evening but I found plenty of other choices when I didn't want the available menu. Lunch was most enjoyable in the sun washed down with retsina. Room clean and tidy. A most enjoyable holiday. Please be aware there are a lot of steps and whilst I managed with limited mobility it was difficult at times . My husband did not realise how many steps there were when he booked.
