We arrived at the hotel wasn’t anything like the pictures. Food was horrendous don’t cater for people with allergies and no options for the kids! Rooms weren’t tidied once and we were there 8 nights! Filthy sheets! Most staff were rude! Very run down! No entertainment and slides only open 2 hours a day! The only nice thing I can say was the beach was a 2 min walk and was beautiful! Wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone!

The Hotel area is really huge, full of beautiful plants, flowers, pinia trees, cats everywhere, chickens….and all this nature makes it unique and not similar to other big and expensive hotels. And all those cicadas music directly from trees all the time! This is really unique and not common for the other big sophisticated hotels where you have just the grass and flowers, but no the little wild Greek nature. The staff of the Hotel is so friendly, helpful and nice that you feel comfortable all the time! Just ask for anything and they will try to make your wish live  There is so cool atmosphere, so relaxing environment that you will feel home from the very first minute! Yes, this is true that rooms are not luxury but comfortable anyway, clean and big enough for everyone. Just the bathroom needs some modernization but I believe this is the question of nearest time and covid end. Regarding the food I cannot find the words to say how fantastic and proffessional the cook must be! The food was really Greek, delicious, tasty, full of spices, variety of choose so that you can feel being in Greece for sure. Just forget about the European food, just taste the Greek one! As to the other facilities and all those stuff the tourists need like water pools, sunbeds etc. is fully enough and OK. There are 2 swimming pools suitable both for adults and children, very clean, comfortable and looking amazing being highlighted colorful in the night! The beach closest to the Hotel, down the hill is small, empty and nice if you don’t look for the beach service – no sunbeds, no bar due to covid crisis. But if you look for relaxing and almost wild place just go for it. There are some other beaches walking distance from the Hotel, just 30 minutes walk and you are on the Gerakas Beach with Caretta Caretta turtles nests or Banana Beach with all the services available. Just to sum up – the Hotel and all its staff is really great and worth to spend your holiday there! If the surroundings is more important for you than the luxury interior, it will be the good choice for you. Just believe, visit and enjoy!

Hotel room was awfull, ants inside, bathroom moulded. Room has not been cleaned up everyday you need to ask for it. Staff was rude, never smile, except few people, Aristotelis, Filipos, Anka, young lad bayern fan can't remember his name was really nice. Good thing is that hotel was perfect for children, pool has 140cm max. And sea was perfect for children 50cm-80cm for 15m from beach. Air con doesn't work properly, food awesome. I'm sure we will not come back to this place anymore. Price to high, not recommended. There was also some snakes been spotted

Rude staff. Had an incident and was no first aid kit. Had a power cut and no emergency lights and no water running for entire day. Went to town for the day. No beach or pool towels. Worse entertainment ever. Shared the room with ants. Had nasty ants bites. Loads of stairs as the hotel is situated on a cliff. Avoid getting babies in pusschairs. Lift which goes to the beach blocked. Beach bar payable. Sunbeds 4€. The small bathroom window leading to the hallway hearing everyone having a the big job😁 and horrendous smells. Old lifts with no air conditioning. Really old air conditioning in the lounge which was felling apart. No bar in the lounge. Wireless internet doesn't work.

You can't have it all, at least not here! Pros Nice rooms (recently refurbished), good size (the family rooms), great sea view, great kids amusement park and lots of activities for children, nice beach very close (you can take the stairs or the elevator), lots of parking spaces. Cons On top of the steepest hill I ever had to walk/drive, don't bother with all inclusive the food and drinks aren't great, there are acctually 3 hotels here (Imperial, Royal, Palazzo) and it smelled bad from the sewer. On the beach next to the hotel there is a beach bar (you will have to pay for drinks/sunbeds as it is not included) a little noisy from the music. Overall not a bad place to stay but a little pricey for what you get.

We booked this resort through onthebeach.com and paid for it over a year almost £3000 on the basis of ‘zantino world’ kids amusement park that was advertised as being open, well it wasn’t and looks like it’s been closed since 2017! Rooms are disgusting! The bathroom was full of mould, tap was hanging off I went and bought my own cleaning stuff as my children refused to wash in there. I did complain and was told the ‘stains’ didn’t come off. The glass separating the balcony’s was cracked from the middle outwards and was sharp which I also complained about and nobody came to have a look, I had to push the table and chairs against it so my 1 year old didn’t cut herself. Food was horrendous, chips were left over from the meal before, the chicken was NOT chicken. The slop was full of bones. We ate out most days which cost a small fortune for a family of 5. We also had to rent a car as there wasn’t anything to do at the resort for the kids which cost more money. Holiday from hell and we spend 10 nights here, so disappointed for the amount of money we spent. Please avoid at all costs. Only good things were the lovely waitress at meal times who absolutely loved my children, the restaurant down the road called ‘nikos’ and turtle beach. This is definitely NOT a 4* hotel!!

Arrival – booked into Imperial Beach – booted into Royal Palace – gave us an upgrade, which was just to a bigger accommodation. Room – 2 bedroom family room for the 2 of us. Recently painted and refurnished bedroom areas with “cube” type furniture only to the main bedroom – can’t imagine a family of four (or more) having sufficient space or privacy – ok if you’re minimalist and don’t take a lot of clothes. The layout of the main bedroom was poor – dressing table and mirror, with fridge incorporated, was placed at one side of the bed, so anyone on the opposite side of the bed who wanted a drink from the fridge, in the middle of the night for instance, would find it difficult not to disturb the person next to the fridge. Plenty of space in the main bedroom to have created a much better and more comfortable layout. Best thing about this room - the sea view – excellent. Bathroom appeared not to have been updated (possibly fairly new pedestal sink and toilet) – very archaic style – no fixed units or shelving for washbags, toothbrushes etc. – bath had enamel worn off and tiles around the bath hadn’t seen a fresh coat of grout for some time. The bath itself was small and although it had a shower over this was in far too small a space and in an unnatural position – good news is that cat swinging evidently phased out long ago! Restaurant – Unlike a lot of reviews of this hotel complex (the 3 hotels on the one site) I don’t totally agree with the comments about lack of choice – while I would have liked a more varied choice I never struggled to find something to eat. What I do agree with that has been said before is that the food is not as hot as it could be – especially towards the latter part of meal times when the heat is turned off by the staff anything up to 30 minutes before the end of the actual scheduled meal time – the staff also do this with the cold foods as well, turning off the refrigeration units. On the plus side there is a microwave oven for those of us who like hot food to be hot and although this is quite old, works reasonably well. The toaster must be the slowest ever – 6 times through and hardly a sign of brown – the adjustment knob seems to have been broken / taken off. Drinks in the restaurant – wine, beer, soft drinks etc. are all self-service and generally are always available (I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the wine – I’m no connoisseur, but tasted perfectly fine to me) – unlike wine glasses, which were forever not available and frequently had to be requested from staff – not being replaced until customers asked staff to do so. The restaurant is badly managed (Theo?) – staff appear to help themselves to food whenever they feel like it (customers having to queue behind staff to get to the food!)– one of the guiltiest of these was Theo (see picture)the restaurant manager, who clearly must have a food problem since he didn’t seem able to stop filling plates for himself (seen to put his hands directly into dishes of cucumber etc. and walk round the restaurant eating it – could this be partly why so many people have previously written about food poisoning, stomach illnesses etc at this hotel?) – no problem with staff accessing food if this is what is allowed by the hotel – the problem was that this was happening frequently before the end of the allotted time for customers (the ones who had paid) – other staff were seen to fill trays with food during customer meal times – quite considerable amounts sometimes and disappear off to the kitchen. The male staff are amongst the most workshy I’ve encountered – the majority of table laying and clearing was carried out in the main by the female staff, while the males strutted their stuff! Bars – the pool bar at the Royal Palace was the better of the two that we accessed – always quieter and the drinks seemed to taste better. The pool bar at the Imperial was always busier, but this is where the “entertainment” is held of an evening. Drinks are always served from these 2 bars in plastic beakers, unless you pay extra for cocktails (the non-included ones), or top shelf drinks, in which case you got a glass. Plastic beakers during the day near the pool is understandable, but down market at night. Makes most AI customers second class citizens. Entertainment – not how I’d describe it – after seeing the same 4 girls go through dance routines on 3 nights, with nothing else on offer (other than the girl who sang, but couldn’t really) – retired to the bar at the Royal. TV stations amounted to 8 - BBC World Service and France 24 (in English) - France 24 was the better of the 2 - poor amount of choice even when only watching while getting ready for dinner etc. General – this hotel complex is in quite an isolated part of the island and as such there are few places to go in the local area. Nearest other bars / restaurants (less than a handful) are a 10 minute walk (up hill) away. If you wanted to go to any of these for a change in the evening you will need a torch. The complex is not suitable for anyone who has walking problems – especially as there are a substantial number of uneven stone steps. Also be aware that this hotel caters in the main for Russian tourists and favours them significantly – they don’t appear to need to queue like other customers, wear tops in the restaurant etc. - never seen to be challenged by staff. The grounds are not particularly well maintained - never saw a gardener, which explains loads of fallen leaves, overhanging bushes, neglected flower beds etc. Tips – get the bus to Argassi (about 30 minutes) – loads of restaurants / bars here – in fact, Argassi is a much better place to stay with a bigger choice of hotels, excursions etc. readily available and its proximity to Zante town (3kms) – 20-30 minute walk, 10-15 minute bus ride.

4 star ! I don’t think so ! This place is run down. The gardens need attention full of rubbish and dead plants. The public toilets are filthy and most are broken on the three hotel complex. The entertainment is worse than amateur. The all inclusive alcohol has all the same labels with either vodka gin etc written on top ! So disappointed at this whole place. Can’t believe it has a 4 star rating. Our room ok but dated with paper flowers border falling off around top of ceiling and the air con didn’t work properly. Worried it wasn’t safe. Really disappointed.
