What had a delightful 10 days we spent soaking up the sun. The staff were great very accommodating and the entertainment was fabulous especially the girls who danced their hearts out with their spectacular performances each night. The life guard was a real hero and saved a life infront of our very eyes. Highly recommended.....x

This is one of the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in you pay a minimum of around £2500 for an all inclusive holiday which gives you coca-cola(it tastes like water) you get a old room which is scraped and scuffled, you’re door is a key lock door and when it isn't inside it’s key holder inside your room it turns all the electricity inside your room off (including the air con) you also can’t have the balcony door and the air con on at the same time the air con turns off it you open it, the food is very poor quality, apart from that the cleanliness of room is 5/10, but some staff are very friendly and helpful, the surround area is beautiful and the pools are amazing

We stayed as a family and all enjoyed our stay and had a good family holiday. Yes in parts the hotel may be a little tired but it’s in parts and the negative reviews I would say are unfair. However I would probably say it’s a 3 Star on looks in areas. The staff were all friendly and constantly tidying up in the restaurant and Kostas at the bar in the evening was great with my little one! Pools -We mainly used the pool at the Royal as it was quieter but the children went down to the Imperial pool when the slides opened am and pm and had fun all day and enjoyed swimming in the pools in the evening when they lit up! You can also use the Palazzo pool but we didn’t. Lifeguard at each pool. Food - breakfast was the favourite, fresh pan cakes daily being the boys favourite along with pastries, fruit, yoghurt, cereal bacon, eggs.. lunch and evening a good selection, Greek, English and even Mexican one night. We always found a table even when busy. Drinks..soft drinks, tea/coffee all day, lager, wine, beer and cocktails 11am until 11pm but they are served in plastic outside of the restaurant, maybe a safety thing? Room - large family room admittedly basic - but you don’t stay in it when in Zante and you can see they have ‘done the bathroom up’, clean towels provided when you place old ones in bath- daily if you want and rooms made up daily, even if you put do not disturb sign up they come back later when you leave. Beach- lovely but not part of all inclusive but definitely worth a visit, the sea is shallow and you can go out 30m my eldest enjoyed snorkelling and the free speed boat to St Nicholas beach is a must!! Yes there are steps to the beach but didn’t stop us going down. The two lifts worked whenever we went to use them to go back up (but does stop between 3 &5 I think) Shop on site - quite small but sells all you would need water, toiletries, souvenirs. Views from the Imperial Bar are beautiful. If you walk for 10 minutes there is a lovely bakery, a couple of shops, gorgeous looking Tavernas and a lovely little bar. Bus stop here €1:80 to anywhere on the island..sometimes a little late but that’s not the hotel fault! Taxi from the airport 30 mins, €30 We DIDN’T have any sickness!!

The good: located 5 min from an awesome beach; we had an awesome sea view from the room and the room was quite large, the architecture of the resort is nice and has a lot of potential ... with some (long due) repairs. The bad: cleanning up is not their strong point, some of the staff is quite nice but some are just plain rude, the train they advertise in pics is no longer there (since 2017 aparently), a huge ammount of wasps, huge ! The horrible: all parents we talked with said their kids cought the same stomac virus ours did ! Some 4 days in our stay she started vomiting and had diarrhea; she couldn’t even hold water in for about 12 h! Some of the adults also had less acute episodes of one or both issues ... Maybe it’s not a hotel issue ?! This doubt is the only reason for my mild review ! Out daughter didn’t play with any kids tho, so she had to get it indirectly ... anyway, NOT a place i’d like to revisit !

I will start with positives 1. We had a mix up with booking via teletex holidays which meant we had to change rooms halfway through the holiday. The reception were VERY helpful and made sure we didn't need to change rooms and we stayed in our sea view room for the whole holiday. 2. Animation team- 4 dancers and DJ are very good and engaging. The Russian singer could add a bit of excitement to her singing and a change of costume, wore blue dress all the time she was singing and felt like monotonous. 3. Views are AMAZING, beach is also great. Pool is average, cleanliness could be improved. The slide is a hit with kids but only open 10.30am-12pm and 4pm-6pm. Not so good reviews. 4. SICKNESS BUG is rife! We had to cancel our boat trip which was a hit. Daughter has now been sick(vomit) on and off since Saturday to Tuesday. Hotel is far from everything so means we are stuck here. Bus service runs but always late(not hotel fault). Taxis cost between €13 and €30 to get anywhere. Never been ill when we travel other European countries or Egypt! 5. Food is average but could do with different varieties each night. 7. Gym facilities are rubbish...not even a treadmill. Only 1kg dumbbells!!! 8. Stairs are not an issue for me as I like exercise, but there are LOADS of stairs to every where....there is a lift on sight though and a little tram to the beach.
