If you want to go to the best hotel in Goa and be treated like a royal, please do not miss this beautiful property with the most amazing beach. On this beach there are no beach-shacks, no other hotels, no houses, just an empty stretch of white sand.
The staff is incredible, kind, helpful and truly wishing you to have the best time. I felt like a queen and will surely return again!
A special thanks to Mr. Kurush and Mr. Obuli who made my stay more then perfect! 🙏

Just left this hotel in Goa after an amazing 6 nights here. We had done 6 nights in Northern India and wanted total relaxation and that is exactly what we got.

The service is outstanding. All the staff go the extra mile and whatever you want you can have, and with a smile! My wife was feeling ill one evening with a sore throat and so Maktar Ali, the manager at the Susegado restaurant, twice sent his mothers rescue remedy drink to our table, and it worked instantly. On the last night at this restaurant they brought out a bon voyage cake, a really nice touch. A special mention to Laxmi, our Guest Relations Executive, who was lovely.

The grounds are exceptional, full of flora and wildlife, and the beach is gorgeous. If you head left up the beach you end up on a long stretch usually with the beach to yourself. The sea is lovely and warm and the weather is complete sunshine.

The room was of a very high quality with all the little touches you need. The bed was very comfortable and there was even a pillow menu! It was well sound proofed. The balcony backed onto a large lagoon.

The food in all the restaurants was delicious and very well prepared. Our favourite was the fish restaurant on the beach, Susegado, where we ate lunch everyday and dinner most nights!

For balance and to give a complete picture there were a few niggles.
The Holiday Inn resort is very close and the music coming from there was sometimes loud. (Worth requesting a room as far from the Holiday Inn side of the hotel grounds as you can)
There are loud crows at certain parts of the hotel grounds which could annoy, although the staff do shoe them away.
The price of the Jumbo prawns were a little too expensive at £11 each in the Susegado. The Sea Bass was much better value for money and tasted delicious.
As we were paying by debit card they took the fee for our stay as soon as we arrived, which is unusual and not something I’m keen on.
There were 2 weddings and a large function taking place during our stay. The hotel went out of there way to keep disruption to a minimum and we absolutely didn’t feel sidelined, but we did overhear a couple of people moan about music volume.(For us it was quite interesting to see the weddings, a taste of Indian culture)

Overall these niggles were minor things and didn’t impact on our stay.
The hotel is really intoxicating. Most of the people we spoke to were repeat guests who had come back year after year. One couple were on their 12th year in a row!
I would highly recommend the Leela and will definitely be back!

We came here for a much needed holiday and are very glad we chose this property. From the efficient airport pick up to being greeted by the hostess, in our case Laxmi who took excellent care of us and was patient and kind in showing us around to the comfortable rooms-- we relaxed quickly into the green and peaceful environment of this property. The pool is beautiful and big, the ocean next to the hotel has clean waters you can swim in and a gorgeous beach you can walk and run on. An occasional vendor can sometimes stop you but nothing that disturbs the overall vibe. The buffet meals especially for a family is well worth the price. Such good food! The chefs we met Santosh and Sundar took special care of my middle daughter who has severe nut allergies. The staff in the restaurant from Seval, Khan, Suman (who even made me a really good cup of tea after watching me make my own) take attentive care of you.
The gym is well stocked to get a good work out in. We had a good experience in the salon as well. I sent my oldest who has trouble with acne to get a facial and Champa took such good care of her. My daughter was sensitive to the products so Champa helped her sun burns cool with some gels and didn't charge us for her time or care.
My main feedback would be about the use of small water bottles in the gym and elsewhere. The restaurant serves filtered water and we refilled our bottles as many times as we needed through our trip. I was remembering that at a Fairmont property in Berkeley they offer metal reusable bottles in the gym that you can refill. Such an excellent way to avoid waste. A thought would be to perhaps have signs up that offer filtered water so guests are available of the option and offer perhaps an incentive such as reusable water bottles for those who opt for the same?
The most beautiful feature about this hotel is the property itself. Quiet, green, surrounded by birds and trees and lily ponds, all we needed to do was disconnect from our phones and the stresses of the world eased away.
If you need to get away from the world or need a holiday or rest or just some quiet time, I would recommend this place again and again.

Leela Goa is a well reviewed property with a legacy going back several decades. Like all Leelas in India, they set very high standards of service and hospitality and continue to match it year after year, Leela Goa is no different. We were there for a wedding in late November and truth be told, most aspects were up to the mark.

The check-in desk for our group was setup separately from regular Reception desk which I thought was very thoughtful. We were swiftly shown to our rooms, most rooms open up to artificial lakes and lagoons that sprawl the entire property. The room itself was well appointed although looked dated, understandable for a hotel that was built back in 90s. Although it seemed frequent upgrades had been made over the years, the hotel in general and rooms in particular now aren't far from a complete overhaul.

Most of our meals were part of wedding functions, while they were consistently good, nothing was particularly inspiring or ground breaking. No dish sticks out in mind, the chefs probably played safe most of the times than being overly creative. Buffet breakfast was a vast spread, the biggest I've seen in India at-least. Again blandly named 'The Restaurant', the breakfast room meandered for acres and branched out to al-fresco sitting and pool. We celebrated a b'day and they were kind enough to rustle up cake and champagne at a short notice.

The pool was great, complete with kids shallow area and a waterfall that was immensely enjoyable. Didn't really try too many other facilities with us jumping from one wedding party to other but I can't imagine them to be lacking the usual Leela quality. The beach adjoining the hotel is a fair walk away so you're better off summoning one of their countless buggies. The beach itself is clean but you can't avoid the countless hawkers that bug you despite the best efforts of guards present. The sea was calm and one can enjoy a leisurely swim in good weather.

Overall, Leela left a good impression but you have this feeling that they can achieve much more with the space and location that they enjoy. Maybe, something exciting in store for future.

Words will fail to justify the beauty of this property, so I will let the pictures do the talking. Spread over an enormous area, the resort is a wonder in itself. It was my third visit to this place, this time with family and small kids. Ms. Luxmi welcomed us with a very warm smile and showed us to our conservatory premiere rooms which were really spacious and very well equipped.

The dinner at Susegado (the beachfront restaurant) was really good even though all but one were vegetarians, we really enjoyed the food there. Mr. Arjun was extremely sweet and courteous. He even showed my niece different kinds of shellfish which she really enjoyed.

The beach is so beautiful and well maintained, one of the cleanest I have seen in Goa.

The breakfast buffet is HUGE! I would specially like to compliment the south indian chef..the uttapams and the dosas were the best we have ever had! The buffet was really well managed by Mr. Ajay Pristy, the star of the show who was always keen on helping us in one way or the other. As we were travelling with small kids he would even box some stuff  for them to be had later in the day which is so very thoughtful. Thank you!

Mr. Nityanand is another gem who makes your holiday extra special with delectable cocktails served with a lovely smile! His positivity is infectious!

The kids play area is really well maintained with all the toys your kid could ever want! Our kids really enjoyed and went there for 2-3 hours everyday!

We were celebrating a birthday. A cake and a bottle of wine were sent to us in the room which was really thoughtful. They even asked for a picture and got it framed and sent along with the cake! This was a really nice suprise!

The birthday dinner at RIVERSIDE was the highlight of the trip. You MUST eat here once and you will come back again and again! Never eaten a better pizza and molten lava cake..each and every dish was to die for! Mr. Suraj looked after the restaurant really well.

Our flight was scheduled later in the afternoon but we had to check out on time as the resort was full and late check out was not possible. But even then Ms. Luxmi was kind enough to accomodate us in another room for 2 hours. Thank you!

What a beautiful week spent at The Leela..the only bad part about the resort is having to leave it..see you again soon!

Leela mesmerizes you from the moment you enter and it refuses to leave you inspite of you leaving for your home. It’s one thing to have a good property but it’s all altogether a different thing to maintain it as if you own it. The property is constantly kept in its best condition by tireless group of workers who not only do their work but also treat you as if you are the most special person of their day, Guess Leela’s policy is to treat their employees well and they in turn treat the customers well. The beach is serene and inspite of maddening rush in the peak hours you can find calmness if you want to. The location is bit far from all big places which tourist go for an photo op but then if you are in leela you should enjoy the property as it fulfills all your needs under the same roof. Special mention to Ms Laxmi and chef Arvind for making our stay pleasant.

Absolutely stunning hotel, amazing service, excellent facilities.
Housekeeping were quick, food was most delicious, change of buffet every night during our 5 night stay (I am vegetarian- very large selection). Breakfast was just as delicious. Chefs very helpful.
Mohanti was extremely helpful to show us around the hotel and take us to little Mandir area ,(with buggy). He demonstrated very good hospitality.
Joylan housekeeping was efficient.
Delroy buffet restaurant was helpful. Chefs are all friendly and helpful. Beach was clean, soft sand, plenty of space. Swimming pool area was clean, plenty of sunbeds. Outstanding hotel, great hospitality and service, beautiful grounds.

Only thing in my opinion needs improvements is the bathroom products should be made in India and should offer authentic Indian herbal products instead of cheap chinese products.
Apart from that tiny area of improvement Leela Goa is definitely worth the money.

We visited this fantastic hotel at the end of a three week tour of Northern India and unfortunately as the Coronavirus was beginning to curtail international travel.
We booked a Lagoon Suite (room 102), the check in was quick and pleasant with a refreshing towel and coconut drink. A quick ride to the room, it’s fair to say we were blown away by the room, outstanding very clean, large and well laid out. Two bathrooms with all necessary products, soft towels and robes.
The hotel was clearly running at low occupancy due to the virus scare, but all staff were not overly intrusive with so few guests. Breakfast was buffet (excellent) and a Masala Dosa to die for.
We ate at the Jamavar on 3 nights, an extensive menu and excellent Indian food. The table waiter Aldrich did a fantastic job and is a real credit to the hotel, a friendly smile, advice and excellent English......well done him😁.
My 60th birthday fell during our stay and French Champagne and birthday cake gift from the GM was very thoughtful, many thanks to all.
The gardens are extensive and full of bird life, beach is clean as is the sea. Great to see so many bins and people cleaning the high tide line.
Due to India’s closure of its International Airports we left early, I must mention the assistances given to us by the Duty Manager Indira again outstanding and a real credit to the hotel..... many thanks.
We will without doubt return, we both wish all staff the best over the next few months that will clearly be a difficult time. God bless you all and India x

This is a 75 acres property with Golf course and having very limited number of rooms. So there is a peace, tranquility, greenery, etc around wherever you are moving in the resort. Each room has a water body around it. The rooms are very large size, fully loaded with good quality accessories, toiletries, towels, linens. The food was excellent and yummy. The buffet served various cuisines with enough choice for vegetarian and non vegetarian. The service was excellent, staff very courteous and ever willing to help. Special thanks to the F&B manager Mr.Ajay Dwivedi who ensured that each guest felt at home with the food served and never said no for any special request which normally the staff would turn down. Very happy with the stay.

We have just come back from a 7 night stay at this Fantastic hotel. There is nothing we could fault with our stay , breakfast everything you could think of from around the world.
We only ate the first evening at the hotel which again we couldn’t fault. Service from Fletcher was great.
Rooms were cleaned to a very high standard, they would come back and change your towels again in the evening.
Nothing was to much trouble.we would definitely come back again, Well done everyone.

The pool has certainly been completed and looks fantastic. We were offered an upgrade to a recently renovated room but did not take the offer up. This does suggest that not all rooms have yet been renovated but we reall could not see how our room could be greatly improved upon save to put in some USB sockets of which there were none. No photos I'm afraid!

Does anyone know how the renovations are going and what has been done, Thank you.
Answer from Sandhya S
Goa, India
Renovations are ongoing until November. They are on schedule and being done in a very discreet manner with resident guests in the property. In November, the resort will launch 3 new restaurants, a design led pool area and 100 plus refurbished guest rooms.
