Let's keep it little comical, because that's how I look back at my trip to Leela, Goa. Let's be fair, I am going to start with the Good Things about Leela, sorry Good Thing. It's a Restaurant called Fisherman's Wharf which is 5 mins walk from the Property, the only saving grace during our trip. Now, the awful things at Leela. It starts the moment you enter Leela. Welcoming You, no that doesn't happen here. The man at the reception desk is so unfriendly, it reminded of my khadoos Engineering viva professor. Customer service is not something any of the staff has ever been trained for, except for the good buggy drivers. Food, ohh crap, we had our booking with all meals included, the only fish they serve is a Basa, in Goa, seriously? We stopped going for dinners because of the repetitive options in the buffet. Even the breakfast was bad.  The beach, I don't know what property it was next to Leela, I think Holiday Inn/Novotel, everytime I went on the beach, I was just appalled by the service and facilities, compared to the adjoining fantastic property. The most amazing part. We had 3 rooms booked for 3N, 4D. On the 3rd Day, after all the disappointment, I saw a letter on the door of my room. To my suprise, the letter mentioned "Thank you for your stay, this is to remind you that your check-out time for tomorrow is 11am." For God Sake, my Ex-girlfriend, while breaking up, had a better letter written for me. Who does this? I still had a 1 more night at the property. India is known for its hospitality, Athithi Deva Bhavo. I expected so much from a Legacy Indian Hotel Chain. It was utterly disappointing. Especially with their customer service and hospitality. To the Top Management of Leela, please train your staff and your own mindset. I recommend to visit any of the Marriott Property, maybe you will learn a thing or two. I hope for your own sake. No wonder the Marriott Group keeps expanding, whereas Leela's number have not budged, since ages. Sincerely, A Disappointed Customer who spent ₹2,80,000 for 3N stay.

Just back from a 6 night stay in a lagoon suite at Leela Goa…speechless….75 acres maintained like somebody’s much loved backyard…beautiful rooms and suites lovely restaurants nice food awesome and relaxing pool and a jaw dropping beach (not private though but more or less exclusively used by Leela residents …I don’t think private beaches are allowed in Goa) Service was above and beyond with every request being treated as utmost priority. Special thanks to Aldrin at breakfast who took personal care of us for all 6 breakfasts and got us whatever we wanted. Overall at least 2 steps above other 5 star hotel chains of this world …the entire resort has above and beyond written all over it …well done Leela Goa

This is undoubtedly the best Luxury resort in South Goa. The ambience is stunning. The staff is very well trained and very courteous. The food is class apart. The Chef for each type of cuisine may it be Indian, Chinese, Continental they are best in class. A memorable experience. If planning for Goa, definitely go for it.

We stayed here in the last week of November 21. At first we were just annoyed with the foul smell from the river adjacent to the property. While we settled in our room, we first realised that the TV wasn’t working, and the picture quality was so poor that we could not even read the subtitles. The technician was called and he took over an hour to adjust. It was better, but we later realised that the TV was very old and no amount of adjustment would solve the issue. An hour later we called the help desk again as the hairdryer wasn’t working, it was replaced and some time later called them again to replace the kettle as it wasn’t functional. It 3 hours after checkin, we had almost replaced or complained about all the electronic/ electrical appliances in the room. Hoping the experience would get better, we went to the beach and returned. The children used the tub, and to our dismay the drain of the Tub was clogged. The following day, the basin got clogged. We had finally reached breaking point. I spoke to the duty manager, offered to change the room even though she refused to accept that there was an issue with the room. However we were to check out the next morning so we declined the change of room. I did get a call from the duty manger’s superior to calm us down. He offered us a complimentary dinner and later did. It charge us for the taxi to the airport. However the experience was already soured and we were really disappointed with the stay. The accommodation are not renovated and are crying out loud for some modern appliances and detailing. The foul smell is a bummer.
