The Almyrida Resort garners high praise for its exceptional service, with guests often noting the staff's friendliness and attentiveness. While its rooms are celebrated for their cleanliness and comfort, some guests have noted they can be on the smaller side and occasionally noisy. The resort's beachfront location and dining options nearby are frequently highlighted, offering convenience and a chance to savor local flavors. Despite some remarks about pool size and sunbed availability, the amenities generally satisfy travelers. The resort is also commended for its cleanliness and vibrant atmosphere, though the quieter evenings might not suit everyone. Overall, many guests feel the resort provides good value, but some caution about additional fees for certain services.

We stayed as family of 6 this summer. With Covid hotel was flexible with the dates to adapt to travel restrictions and worked hard to the hotel covid free.
The staff is extremely nice, polite and helpful. The location cant be better right on the beach and there is beach sport center right in front to rent pretty much everything except the hobby cat that are reserved for ucpa but windsurf and others np.
Swimming pool always clean (no issue to find space but to be honest hotel was half full only. Clean towel when you, clean room every day, beach bar with plenty options and in the residence an amazing roof top bar restaurant with stunning views.
The rooms :initially we were given small rooms which for 6 were not suitable but after explaining that it will not work (they forgot to add additional beds even though the reservation was for 6) we were given 2 bigger room with a convertible sofa - perfect for us. If you intend to be 3 in the room it is a must...
Fianlly the reason for 4 and not 5 the half board. Most if not all the food did not taste local at all. Some of it clearly frozen, no fresh fish, vegetables pretty tasteless all inclusive quality which is what we thought to avoid by going to a smaller hotel. Restaurant in front serve much bettee food at attractive especially cafe francoiae or psaros fish restaurant so would avoid half board options even though as family dining in hotel is much simpler. There waa plenty of choices though especially for vegetarian but just missing the taste. Ashamed as you can get directly delivered local produce with amazing taste!
All in all, great vacation Almyrida beach is stunning and Almyrida beach hotel is a great option to stay just dont hesitate to go outside to eat local...

So lucky to have visited this hotel in these difficult times. The hotel was spot on with Covid regulations and they should be proud of what they do. The Almyrida Beach is in a fantastic location, the staff are so helpful and friendly (like a big family), the rooms are very comfortable and kept spotless by their cleaning team, breakfast had plenty of choice and as very tasty, roof top cocktails are a must, as is a dip in the gorgeous infinity roof top pool. We will return

Nice hotel located approx 100 metres from the beach.

All the rooms seem to have a view of the sea, and overlook the swimming pool.

In peak season would suggest you avoid getting a room directly above the pool bar, as it stays open until quite late at night.

Rooms are nicely appointed. Hair dryer, tea/coffee facilities, fridge, and a tv (only 1 English speaking channel - BBC World news)

Very clean. New towels regularly changed. Bathroom was a little dark, with a shower curtain which didn’t fully cover the bath, meaning we had a wet floor every time we showered.

Breakfast (we were b&b) was good, with a great range of hot (eggs, bacon), fruit, yoghurts, breads, cheeses etc. Supplement if you want a cappuccino etc

In fact there are a few “supplements”. You can use the facilities at the sister hotel across the road (Almyrida Residence) but to have breakfast it’s a €10 supplement per person per day. To use the room safe it’s a €2 supplement per day. A pool towel is a €2 supplement per towel.

Resort itself is pretty and fairly compact. Great restaurants along the front, which are all good.

There are 2 car hire places in Almyrida. Cheaper than the Hertz rental promoted by Tui. But expensive compared to the last time we holidayed in a Greek island (pre COVID).

The only real irritations with the hotel is the bed reserving mentality of the guests (from say 6.30am onwards) and the hotel’s lack of action to discourage it. Also the corridors are tiled and a bit noisy (when guests returning late from dinner/bar) with an equally annoying electronic warble when you use your room key, which really carries in the quiet of night.

Otherwise a nice hotel and we’ll worth visit.

We have just returned from another incredible 2 weeks at Almyrida Beach Hotel and it did not disappoint. We were greeted by the lovely reception team along with Tonia, the manager who immediately made us feel at home. There were 9 of us but the check in process was so smooth.

The hotel is in a small village opposite the sandy beach which is lined with traditional Greek tavernas as well as more modern mediterranean restaurants. The food was amazing and the people were so friendly and hardworking. We opted for the restaurants directly on the beach so the kids could play whilst waiting for food. They loved it.

We were half board and the food was lovely at both breakfast and dinner. A great variety of fresh meat, fish, salads and fruit as well as ‘help yourself’ ice cream which the kids loved! All the restaurant staff were so friendly and couldn’t do enough for us.

The pool is big enough for games and inflatables but not huge with crowds of people. It has sunbeds surrounding it and a lovely bar with brilliant staff. Billy and the team make amazing cocktails and are so helpful and friendly. You can go to the rooftop bar & pool in the hotel next door (Almyrida Residence) if you want some time away from the kids. It’s really chilled with great views.

The cleaning staff were so friendly and it was lovely to return from the pool/beach/day out with the room made up each day.

A visit to Chania is a must (maybe in the evening as it is so hot!) along with the water park - Limnoupolis. Chania is full of restaurants along the front but in our experience, the best are in the little narrow streets. We love the open air restaurant, Semiramis, with traditional music and great food. There is often a queue to get in after around 8.30pm.

In summary, we absolutely love Almyrida Beach Hotel and believe it is the location and staff that make it what it is. A huge hotel with multiple pools and big crowds of people does not appeal to us therefore Almyrida Beach is perfect.

Tonia is amazing and she has a fantastic team. We cannot wait to go back.

I have just finished a week long stay at the beach hotel with a friend. The hotel is beautiful and clean, the staff are very friendly and knowledgeable of the area, the food and drinks were lovely. We also got access to the sister hotel across the street so we got to enjoy the rooftop bar which had lots of drinks, food, sometimes live music and an infinity pool.

The area was beautiful with a beach 20 seconds walk away, plenty of restaurants to chose from (all the food and staff are lovely) and a late night bar with music we went in a few times.

There are also coaches just around the corner that will take you straight in to Chania old town for only €2.70

Cannot recommend enough!! Will definitely be returning.

The hotel is in a good location, near the beach and local restaurants.
We had booked bed and breakfast as we prefer to use the restaurants particularly where the local people eat, as we love authentic Greek food.
The breakfast had a good choice of food, something for everyone. The staff were friendly and the hotel was kept exceptionally clean.
The downsides were:
Loud music playing from morning till midnight in both the outside bar area and the dining room. I overheard one gentleman saying he refused to sit by the pool as the loud speakers were “driving me nuts”
The pool was small, there was a large windmill at the poolside, I understand the history of windmills associated with Crete, but I don’t understand why when space is limited there had to be one taking up valuable space when it could had been used for more sun beds. Also there was no grab rail at the shallow end of the pool and I saw three people slip into the pool on two different occasions.
There is a room for guests to store luggage when check out has been completed, however the door is permanently left unlocked. There are shower facilities in an adjoining room for one to use, which is good. Unfortunately when my husband and I were getting changed a maintenance man walked in, didn’t speak, carried on walking to another door for staff only and never apologised. To make matters worse, he did the same thing again moments later.
Hotel towels for sun beds are available to borrow, however one has to pay €3 per towel and a key for the safe in the room costs €15, neither are refundable when one checks out.
I don’t think we shall be staying there again.

We stayed at the Almyrida Beach in early May for eleven nights and found the hotel to be very a good nice clean hotel, very friendly staff, pool area very clean with sun beds that were taken quite early but there were metal sunbeds stacked by the bar that you could put on the grass, the only comment about the pool area is that people did put their towels on the sun beds and not use them for a longer period than the 30 minutes time limit posted by the hotel management, this rule we only saw implemented once in the time we were there.
Very good selection at breakfast time.
Our room was sea facing but a little small and could have benefited from extra storage.
I nice touch by the hotel was a rose petal heart and a birthday greeting left for my wife on our arrival.
Would recommend this hotel for a holiday in Almyrida.

We both liked the Almyrida Beach Hotel very much. The staff were all excellent, always polite and willing to help. The communal areas were always very clean and the rooms were cleaned to a high standard on a daily basis. If I were to return to the hotel it would be on a B&B basis as although the food was plentiful and flavoursome it was only ever lukewarm and this included the occasions when I turned up at the very start of dinner. I found this extremely dissapointing and made comment to the hotel directly, through their review system.

The hotel is located at a beautiful setting, with beaches, water activities, supermarkets, cafes, bars and restaurants all within walking distance. The hotel itself has very good facilities too (including all pools, bars and restaurants). We came as two families of 3 during Covid period that's probably why it was a very relaxed experience. All 3 pools were very nice, roof top poolside bar does amazing cocktails. All hotel staff were happy, polite and ever so helpful. The room was clean and tidy, and was cleaned in time daily. One only advice is that the rooms could do with a chest of drawers; and the shower curtain hooks came off the rail easily so maybe another style of shower curtains will be a good idea too. Other than that we have no issues. Overall a very pleasant and chilled out holiday. Will definitely go back.

We stayed at the Beach Hotel for 10 days in August/September 2024 - a family of 4 with 2 'mountain view' rooms. The hotel is very well presented - both rooms and communal areas. Our room was a good size, plenty of storage, excellent air conditioning and a decent sized balcony with table and chairs and a very handy drying rack. The bathroom was not huge but it did all it needed to. The staff were always friendly and helpful. We stayed half board: the breakfast and dinner is the large scale self service that you might expect in this kind of set up - but the quantity, variety and quality of the food was all good. There is a small pool out front - which didn't seem to get that busy in the water (but sunbeds are more in demand), but you also have the option of other pools elsewhere on the Almyrida resort sites - including the Instagram friendly rooftop infinity pool just over the road. Of course, you are never more than a few minutes walk from the beach as well. We tended to use the beach at the Western end of the town, which was a bit quieter in the water (5 Euros all day for a sunbed) and where there was more sealife to see while snorkelling - including a regular turtle visitor. Almyrida itself is small and quiet - enough shops for your holiday needs and a multitude of seafront eateries. However, don't come here for a wild nightlife. There are some watersport activities available in Almyrida and there is also an easy bus service into Chania, if you want a change of scene. Would highly recommend this for a relaxing stay on the coast of Crete.

sorry for late reply. as in review i thought the selection for vegetarian was very poor. Saying that if you eat fish they have some fish every day. No kiddies corner i am afraid. They have a pasta like a tomato based one everyday. Hope you have a great time
