I stayed for a long weekend, joining family and really enjoyed this hotel. It’s split into 3 parts: Almyrida Beach Hotel, Almyrida Residence and Studios. I was staying in the ‘residence’ and my family in the ‘beach’ hotel. You can use the 3 pools across the sites, catching the last of the days sunshine at the rooftop pool (bar and restaurant) for happy hour cocktails and watch the sunset. The staff here are fabulous, service exceeds expectations - friendly and professional. I paid €12 extra per night to enjoy the buffet dinner ... high quality, great mix of food ... all delicious! The rooms are modern, well considered and the location is fabulous- right on the beach. Great toiletries in the bathrooms too! Free parking and WiFi included. I cannot recommend highly enough.

I recently spent 6 nights at Almyrida and am thankful that we chose this hotel and this village. The village is small and charming, with several nice gift shops as well as a number of affordable restaurants overlooking the ocean. We dined at a number of the restaurants, and were satisfied with all. The location of Almyrida is convenient - about 40 minutes from Chania airport. We took the public bus to Chania for the day and found it very comfortable and easy. We took a full day excursion to Knossos and Heraklion (booked it at the stand across from the hotel) which was wonderful. We did not feel the need to rent a car. The hotel itself was great - the staff was welcoming and helpful. The breakfast buffet was delicious every day. The room was simple but comfortable and very clean. I enjoyed having a balcony. Despite some reviews stating otherwise, the room was very quiet (we had a room facing the parking lot, which was fine). You can access the pools and amenities at the other hotels. We stayed in the hotel but went to use the pool and rooftop bar at the residence. In addition to the pool and rooftop bar, we saw that there was a bowling alley and pool table at the residence. The rooftop restaurant and bar has a wonderful view and nice menu. We had no problem finding empty lounge chairs by the pool. The beach directly across from the hotel was pretty rocky (but still enjoyable). We found that by walking 5 minutes down the road we could access the sandy beach. This was my first trip to Greece and am so happy I chose this hotel. I hope to return next year!

A charming, very welcoming hotel, set in a quaint little village, with some of the frendliest of staff I’ve met in hotels before (I’ve travelled a lot), excellent food, excellent services. The beach is rocky, but this the island. I see many couples with children (the hotel has safe facilities for them, I understand), but senior travellers and many young couples, as well. The place is simply beautiful, I am having a great time, and look forward to coming back next year.

I have been waiting my vacation since last year and my expectations didn t fullfill. After 2 nights I realised that the location of my room, gave me by the hotel, opposite the sea, near that bridge was an unhappy choise, a disaster for my vacation. Hardly we can sleep. We can hear every noise from the other room, in the afternoon the cleaning stuff moved the furniture or dropped some objects despite the rest program, sometimes some guests ( adult and child) were playing football in the corridor. There are no time for rest, especially all night long because of the traffic, cars and motocycles who made „ competitions” on the bridge road. I tried to inform the reception desk, but they seemed to be quite surprised about the traffic or motocycles and they didn t have a solution for me and my child to give me another room. A quiet one. I have noticed another rooms with the same category I mean the view room, but not near the road bridge, but after few days the response negative what the same. I have not received understanding in that issues, in my last days I was informed that they knew about that motocyles. I explained that I have a stressfull job and I am with a kid there, and my purpose for the vacation was to recreate and to rest, but the recetion stuff said that it was my agency fault for that room. I spoke to my agency, and they said that the hotel should help me in my problem. There was a rule about the reserving the pool chair putting the towels on them, that never was respected neither the guests neither the stuff. In the morning we hardly find one available ( without a towel) and there was present just a few people on the pool. I gave up to stay on the pool frequently and we stay at the sea, even in the afternoon under a umbrella to rest, knowing that In the hotel the clean activity was in progress and to avoid traffic noise. When we have to sleep in the night, I had to choose not to sleep because of the traffic noise from the outside bridge or the heat inside the room. I didn t use air conditioning too much not to ill my kid. The food was ok, although I ve expected more cheese, olives, fish, fresh fruits, like watermelons in the evening, not just a few pieces. Friendly stuff at the restaurant, clean room. So, as a conclusion, if you are looking for a vacantion to rest, the Almyrida Beach Hotel is not a good y.

My family of 5 (and 3 other families) spent 5 nights at the Beach Hotel (they have 2 properties across from each other). We were visiting for a wedding/trip and had a fantastic time. The staff was so friendly and helpful, particularly Xanthi at the reception desk. The shaded rooftop breakfast and pool was a great way to start the day, a kind of casual modern decor with great views of the mountains and the coast. The town had a few walkable restaurants that were nice and the beaches were nice too - a bit crowded on those beaches- but we always found a spot if you can be a bit flexible. We had a nice walk up the road beyond the beach - up a secluded hill. You will find the waters are crystal clear and the people super friendly. We know the Chania area very well and there is so much to see in the town and at the beaches - however they are reachable by car only. We were so many people (20+) that we didn't rent cars and just used the George Terezaki's van (cretetaxivan-gr) to get us around which was so reasonable and so fun. As for the rooms at the hotel, they were comfortable and clean, ample sized bathroom / shower etc. Would definitely recommend Almyrida, esp for families.
