We stayed for 8 nights in January 2023. First off, the grounds of the hotel and the beach are stunning. We had several issues during our stay, which mean we wouldn’t be in a hurry to come back. - We had to be moved from our first room because the bathroom was so unclean. The management team did move us without too much trouble. - Food poising mid way through the week wrote off 2 full days of our holiday. There were often flys all over the food, and the options become quite ‘samey’ after a few days. - The service in the restaurants was very mixed. Some days it was superb, and other days it was like you didn’t exist. Overall it could be fantastic, but it’s just not there yet.

Always refer to Baobab Beach Resort & Spa as my home away from home. I've been to the place more times than I can count or remember. It has amazing facilities, delicious food and great ambience. With three hotels to choose from, pools with great places for one to chill and just enjoy their vacation. It is a place for solo travel, for friends and has something for family too. They have activities to ensure one enjoys their stay, that include water , water polo , zumba and activities by jambo team at porini amphitheatre everynight . Their rooms are clean and well kept. A place is as good as their staff. Kudos to the staff Lucy, Remmy, Michael, Nzoka, Vinya, Humphery, Fauzia, Cynthia, Phillip, Hamisi who always make my stay worth while. I will certainly be back. We had a relaxing 4 nights at the Baobab Dining- although there is plenty of options we found the meat was either tough (if red meat) or dry (if chicken) the staff were really friendly. We paid a supplement for "Sea Facing" room, please note that this is completely different to sea view as there are loads of trees stopping you from seeing the sea in a sea facing room, so my advice is to not bother with the supplement. Cocktails and other drinks by the pool were well made. The beach boys do not leave you alone if you go down to the ocean even if you tell them politely, shame really Would we stay here again?.....probably not

Amazing food!! Such a large variety of food and the food was amazing. Special shout out to Ndanu at reception who helped us a lot in our stay. It is an all inclusive hotel with tennis courts and basketball court

I will be checking out in few days, this is my fourth time at baobab and we have never been disappointed. It's a bit rainy at the moment but we can't complain. The jambo team are always available to take care of us. We have already booked our next stay in September and I can't wait. Thank you baobab for the wonderful time. Baobab beach and spa is the place to go. Be it family holiday or on business. Lot of variety of food and entertainment activities fitting both family and individuals on solo holidays. We stayed as a family of four . It was low season so the hotel wasn’t as busy. The Kids club and the food is why we choose this resort over again. A special shout out to Ms. Fatma. She took care of our kids and handed us a program each morning with the activities that the kids were going to do that day . This gave us time as adults to explore and relax . Mr. Remmy is the reason we keep coming back to the resort because the kids love him so much . Truly amazing. Animation team- Jambo team The crew was energetic and engaging . Special mention to Samuel, Michael, Amani , Kevin and Hamisi , Laura , Marcus , Fauzia, water polo , beach volley ball and water aerobics were all so much fun. The entertainment at night is amazing . The shows are great; the acrobats and dancers are fantastic. The food was of a wide variety with daily theme-like menus including vegetarian dishes . The puddings with warm custard and chocolate were the highlight . Mtundo for checking in on us during meals at the main restaurant, Silas , Robinson, Rajab, Waziri , Beja , Salim , Omari at the egg breakfast station. Front desk and housekeeping Ms. Lucy and her exceptional team at reservations and reception were very professional and took care of the queries we had. We shall be back !…

We accidentally left an iPhone charger in room 601 while checking out on 21/05/2023. As we only realized later about the missing charger, we made numerous calls and messages to the hotel. To our dismay and helplessness, the hotel staff were unbothered & unresponsive. A good stay was foiled by their indifference upon checking out.

The rooms were very clean and good , The choice of food for the buffet was not smart, next to Diani Beach, we expected more seafood on the menu, on the other hand, the entertainment equipment such as archery, table tennis and pool table were old and outdated. Contrary to what is advertised on the net, only one restaurant and two bars provided service, and one swimming pool and other restaurants did not provide service.

I cannot say enough about the Baobab and the wonderful experience that we have had. I extended my trip in Kenya just to spend more time here. You will quickly realize that you have made the right choice. I’ve been in the hospitality Buisness in the US for thirty five years. I take my hat off to the General Manager Jeff and his entire team. Attention to detail spectacular. Lucy at Guest relations exceptional with customer requests and recommendations. Executive chef Cosmas is so on point Breakfast / lunch and dinner buffet’s have a fabulous fresh daily selection and definitely something for everyone’s pallet. Restaurant supervisor Silas was so accommodating. A La carte restaurant Tangezi is a hidden gem. Fantastic. My personal favorite is the Seafood platter that will leave you speechless. For Spa lovers visit Beatrice who will customize any requests. I’ve experienced deep tissue massage’s with Winnie who I would highly recommend. The resort is located along the Indian Ocean along the most beautiful part of Diani beach and it’s amazing white sands. Breathtaking views and the Ocean breeze is to die for.
