As an expat who's lived and worked in east Africa for over 4 years I've seen, and stayed at my fair share of resorts and lodges - I even worked for one in South Africa. Mombassa, specifically Diani, has always been my holiday hot spot. This year I decided to take a risk and stay on the other side of...

Dear Tom and Anna, We want to thank you for your honest feedback and are very sorry that your stay with us was not as you expected. Unfortunately we did have some troubles with our bicycles and we are working on fixing and replacing all of them. After your trip when the bicycles broke down, we picked them up and...

One warm evening as we floated in the pool, pointing out the constellations to each other, I thought about how I'd review Forest Dream. I knew I wanted to do it justice and also wanted to keep it cliche free! However, cliche free isn't possible - this resort really is 'paradise', it really is 'heaven on earth' and it really...

We have stayed in Forest Dream and absolutely loved it! The place is really unique, not like all the other big resorts in Diani. This place has a good feel to it with good service, beautiful nature and the best food I have ever tasted. Forest Dream is what it promises: a dream location in the forest of Kenia, close to some of the prettiest beaches of the country. Whether it is the terrific pool, the ever present monkeys or the friendly staff, everything here will make you feel that you have found a perfect place to spend your relaxing holiday. If I ever go...

The owner wanted to build a resort in respect of the nature and environment. Challenge done with full success and taste. The resort with different cottages and atmospheres is full of little and elegant details. Rooms are beautifull, made with natural elements. Really clean and maintained. A lot of space between the cottages garantee intimity. Monkeys are jumping around while...

We spent about nine days at Forest Dream, more tha expexcted. It is a very nice, well-run place with very nice staff. The place is exotic and at some distance from the hectic all-inclusive resorts - but yet with beach access. It is close to nature and worked very well for our children, not least the pool area. Recommended!

We (husband, wife and two kids aged 10 and 12) were in Kenya visiting family over Christmas and New Year. We wanted to take the opportunity to visit the coast to spend a few, hopefully relaxing days on our own after the hustle and bustle of family visiting. We found Forest Dream on the internet, did a bit of research...

As we live in Kenya, we have a pretty good idea of what to expect from a coastal rental. Given the usual stampede for a Christmas booking we considered ourselves extremely lucky to have found Forest dream only 2 weeks to our preferred holiday date. We had visited their direct website and booked to stay in Leopard cottage from 21st-27th...
