I came here for a couple of nights alone to relax and it was everything I wanted it to be. The service here really stands out for me, the staff - all of them without exception - were brilliant. So helpful, so kind and really made the effort to make you feel like you were being looked after. The food was fantastic and I really liked that it wasn't a restaurant area that it was served around the garden area, it just made it feel really homely. I really like the boutique feel to it overall. The setting, right on the beach was also really lovely. My only suggestion would be that the tables/chairs around the pool area could be modernised a little. The beds on the beach were fab though. I would return.
What a wonderful retreat in a stunning location. Must be frank though, it is slightly worn at the edges in places. If the polished pristine of 5 star establishments is what you demand than this hotel is very likely not for you. But if top quality food, drinks and health/beauty treatments provided with attention and kindness are a measure of your rating hospitality services, Elewana AfroChic cannot be surpassed.
It was the second time in 3 years I stayed in Afrochic. Needless to say the location is perfect. The staff is always there and very helpful. They were professionals! The rooms sparkling clean and the food was excellent !!!! We were having breakfast and lunch at the hotel, as we wanted to go out in the evenings to different places. Nowhere we ate better than Afrochic !!! Next time will definitely book a full board and have only drinks outside! It is a magical place from any perspective !
From your arrival to your departure all the staff at AfroChic are there looking after you. They are welcoming and friendly and really want you to enjoy your stay. The hotel itself is clean and nicely decorated and has a nice relaxing feel about it. The food was delicious with lots of different choices. We were staying on the fully inclusive deal and my only problem with this was we were not allowed a bottle of wine with our meals: we had to have a glass brought to the table which sometimes tasted as though the bottle had been open for a while. We did ask if we could have the bottle in an ice bucket on the table but this wasn’t allowed. We had 2 rooms. One double suite and one upgraded room which we let the children (21, 18 and 11) have. Their room was wonderfully spacious. Both rooms were clean and comfortable. The facilities are perhaps a bit dated and in need of some TLC but I feel that all in the hospitality business must have been struggling to stay afloat in the aftermath of COVID and spare cash to spend must be sparse. All in all we had a fantastic 4 days here. Thank you Sospeter and your team.…
The hotel leaves nothing to be desired. The service and the staff are just wonderful and we will definitely come back. We can recommend this hotel 100%. Thank you for letting us be your guests, we felt like at home.
Post covid lockdown break in this superb home from home hotel. .Lovely property and relaxed dining .The reception area has a kenya vibe with views of the beach. The pool is just right not too big and not too small. The grounds are laid out so that the ocean views are picture perfect.Lots of seating and daytime four posters beds facing the sea..great for a snooze .or a beer or two while gazing into the horizon.Location on Diani beach is excellent and the shimmering sands were always a delight for walks ..treading water and dunking in the blue sea. We were treated like long lost family by all the staff. Dining is relaxed with flexibility when to eat ..where to eat and our dietary requests were always accomodated. Food was delicious and eating outdoors in the evenings made it special. Will definately return for that true swahili service with warmth and eveready smile N and N shah .…

I cannot say enough about my stay at AfroChic during my birthday trip. I started off doing a Safari and arrived at AfroChic for 4 days of relaxation. The staff from the time at welcome was so attentive and caring especially with me being a solo traveler. The food was impeccable consistently 100% on flavor and portions. The rooms were clean and I had an amazing view of the pool, beach and ocean…which is literally a few feet away. Always felt safe, the location is prime. I also enjoyed the spa services offered. The hotel is soon to undergo some renovations but it’s unbelievably peaceful, clean and serene. Don’t hesitate.
How amazing is this hotel! We absolutely loved it and would recommend it any day! Booking: Our booking experience from South Africa was complicated- given ours was a large group booking. Once they understood what we were looking for, it was smooth sailing from there on. Accommodation: Awesome rooms… caters for all needs. Clean linen and towels and comfortable beds. Service: 5 star service! The staff are absolutely amazing and will ensure you are comfortable at all times Food: The kitchen staff and chef are second to none! Delicious and tasty food and very accommodating for all palates and the kids! Beach area/ Pool: Clean beach and accessible easily. Love the pool! Overall- a definite must visit and on your bucket list! We will definitely be back in the new year!
We stayed at AfroChic for 5 days, this past August, after our 10 day safari. We have been on many safaris to Kenya but it was the first time we decided to fly down to the coast after and relax, before flying home. I wasn't sure what to expect but was pleasantly surprised at how beautiful AfroChic was. The people are fantastic that work there, The food was great. We stayed on the top floor in the "zebra" room. It was absolutely beautiful and the views were first class. I even went on a deep sea fishing trip, caught a 25 lb Dorado (Mahi Mahi), brought it back to the Chef and he cooked up the most fantastic macadamia encrusted Mahi We ever had. It was better than any Mahi we have had in Hawaii. I told the Chef to feed his crew with the rest. We had such a great time there with all the staff. A BIG SHOUTOUT TO OUR WAITER DONALD, THE BEST DANCER IN KENYA!!! Jan and I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for first class accommodations, service and highly motivated staff.…
