Strofades hotel was my choice for this year’s vacation. I can say that I had the best time to relax,and enjoy the beauty of the island. The room was spacious and really comfortable and in pretty good conditions,also with a view of the pool and a sight of the sea. The food was excellent and tasty, prepared in a way so you could enjoy different tastes in between meals. The staff was very friendly and attentive, always on your call and ready to help with everything they could, which made you feel like you’re at home. I had the chance to meet the director, a great and very intelligent person, always keeping things under control. Everything was perfectly fine, besides the fact that most of the activities that took place were in polish or another balkanic language,that made you a bit uneasy. If the activities were in English it could be a bit more easy for everyone to understand and take part ,given the fact that people from France,Greece,England… were staying there. Besides that everything was amazing and unforgettable, absolutely recommended!

If you do not want to spend stay with czech or polish families do not go to this hotel. Hotel is marked after reconstruction, but some rooms not look like that. Area in building with reception is better than opposite house. Internet is available in restaurant and pool bar areas only. If you plan to do some work bring your own internet.

We had a great time on the island of Zakynthos, Tsilivi is a neat little town and the hotel is close to the city center and the beach is great. BUT! The hotel is not four-star, in Hungary it could receive a maximum of 3 stars. We got a room on the top floor, where there was no elevator, the beds were equipped with old spring mattresses, the bathroom was in a catastrophic condition, broken tiles, there was a part where it was missing and it was moldy and scaled. The plaster was peeling off the walls. We complained and the staff responded immediately, we got another room. The bathroom was nicer there, but the limescale was everywhere. But the bed was much more comfortable. The food was quite tasty, although the breakfast was the same every day. Despite all this, we didn't feel bad, the new room was quite comfortable, but we wouldn't come back. A hotel with good facilities, with a little attention and renovation it could be a good choice for anyone.

* We reached late night and the staff wasn’t really welcoming * No phone in the room •No kettle or cups in the room * No towels in the room I had to go to the reception to ask for them, the receptionist brought me the towels but they were disgustingly stained. I asked him if he has clean ones, his answer was why? What’s wrong with them. I showed him that they are dirty- stained and his answer was “it’s NOT our fault, the laundry didn’t cleaned them properly”. I found the answer super unprofessional. * Safe box in the room has extra charge 12€ x week or if you are staying less it’s than a week goes 3€ x day! * Shower was disgustingly dirty, with black mold all around, insects walking. * Toilet bowl was dirty * bathroom emergency pull-string was full of black mold * Humidity all around the walls in the room * Spider net all around the doors in the hotel and in the room * Pictures of the hotel in the internet do not reflect reality * Last but not the least… housekeeping staff will wake you up at 8:30 AM, it doesn’t matter if you are on holiday they will break into your room. The hotel staff (housekeeping or other staff) they will literally knock the door and not wait even a second for you to open the door… they literally BREAK IN your room as it happened to us, while I was naked. * Food selection & quality was very average. I definitely DON’T recommend this MOTEL to anyone. Thank God we found a real Hotel in the same area to spend our last couple of days.

Very good location. 1 minute do the beach. Few minutes to Tsivili center.Clean with good room service daily.Quite nice food.(however to have Greek traditional we went to restaurant) What I liked is three level windows: glass, against insects and full cover. Staff very friendly

I had an amazing stay in this unique hotel. My suite was luxurious and spotless, with huge double, private balcony bed and absolutely perfect sea view. Whole complex has modern facilities and services. Staff was gentlee and friendly. 24-h reception was also very informative and they assisted us with some extra info we needed about the island. Reasonable rates for the season. Strongly recommended to all!

Beautifully equipped and sloppily maintained. The room is spacious, quiet, wide bed on a metal frame, thick mattress. Very close to the hotel you can rent a bike from Autopime Car Rentals, although they don’t advertise it. And in Zakynthos, a bicycle is the first thing. Do I recommend it? Yes. At first glance, the hotel looks like a hostel. Reception is plain and lobby (or kind of a lobby) is simple and small. The same holds true for restaurant. On the other hand, everything works as it shouldand if you don't long for posh interiors and opulent banquets, the chances are you will be satisfied. Pool is nice and well maintained. Pool bar works nicely, but bartender is moody to say the least. For this I have to blame hotel manager. The staff is simply overworked. The room was ok, but nothing to write home about. The very best thing about this hotel is the beach which is like 100 meters from the pool and is family friendly.

Hotel has a nice sandy beach, good location. Few minutes walk there are restaurants and souvenir shops. There are animations for kids every day however only in polish. The beach bar guy is always hurrying you to make your choice.Drinks are from cheapest type however not bad. There is no daily cleaning only on request - with toilet paper in the bin and sand everywhere. Food is very basic and poor quality, food is not even kept warm. Every day the same food. At the pool not enough bads even for the quarter of the hotel quests.

I was there for 7 days and I have to tell you it was such a great experience. The environment is clean, staff is helpful and sweet, hotel rooms are clean nice, food is good and beach is very nice. Hotel organized greak nights which are awesome I will be looking forward to come there next holidays

Nice clean hotel and room was great but we only had breakfast even though we were all inc. as we had friends staying in other hotel and ate out every night. We were the only British in hotel.
There are more places to choose from in the Tsilivi (Planos) area.
