Places to stay are graded on a 0-100 scale. The higher the grade, the easier it is for travelers to find restaurants and things to do within walking distance.
Overall this is a decent hotel. Big, clean rooms, modern bathroom and shower. Pool area was perfect, with plenty of sun loungers and a good size pool. First issue is the staff, unlike everyone else on the island we met they were just not very pleasant. Didn’t smile, not very helpful and strict on ‘rules’. As an example we were a group of 5 and we’re not allowed to sit together in the outside restaurant area, as they won’t let you move chairs around. So we moved into the empty inside restaurant area and moved some chairs to sit together, the staff still weren’t happy with that so we had to sit separately. Second issue was the all inclusive aspect, avoid at all costs. The drinks all tasted of salt (including and especially the water). Spirits weren’t available until after 6 but as the mixers tasted of salt that wasn’t much of an issue. The cocktail menu was adequate but the several we tried we weren’t even able to finish, undrinkable. The person tending the bar was rude and obnoxious. The breakfast was average, options were good but quality was poor, especially the fried breakfast options. There was a fridge in our room which was more an adequate to stock up on some beers, soft drinks and snacks for around the pool to avoid getting them all inclusive.
Although that’s a lot of strong negatives the hotel overall is nice and I would stay again. It’s quite easy to avoid staff interactions and food/drinks.
The area the hotel is situated in is very central to nearby restaurants and bars, which were all great.

The good points... spotlessly clean, good rooms, comfortable beds, great swimming pool. However, the "all inclusive" is not as I've previously experienced. From 11am-6pm the only drinks available are soft drinks, lager and wine. No spirits, so if you like a cheeky malibu in the afternoon you'll be out of luck. There are no snacks or ice cream. The soft drinks are very hit and miss, sometimes good, sometimes tasting of fizzy water (not great). The food... buffet breakfast, good selection and variety of dishes. Lunch and dinner are "a la carte" lots of Greek dishes with a "special" dish each day. Personally I really liked the food, the salads, moussaka were superb. With a few tweeks it could be so much better... a hook in the shower for the shower head, bigger bath towels, decent quality mixers/soft drinks, full variety of drinks throughout the day, a few olives/snacks available. Location wise It's a good half hour walk away from the beach, but there is a free minibus that takes/picks up guests 3 x times a day. Overall we enjoyed our stay, but we won't return.

We visited this hotel as a couple June 2024 rooms clean big bathroom, pool area spotless. Breakfasts wernt the best toaster really slow if you wanted eggs scrambled, fried, omelette you had to order always felt like you were been watched. Hotel is around 15 to 20 mins walk to strip & beach around 25 mins the hotel puts a bus on 3 times a day to transport to beach we never used this service. Air con & saftey deposit free bt we were staying 2 weeks & on arrival had to pay 98 euros in tax. If you order from bar you sign receipt n pay at reception next day or b4 you leave keep all receipts. All in all lovley hotel but a bit to far out for us

Don’t even bother! Absolutely horrendous from service to food. Only marked 1 star as had to give it a rating. All Inclusive means exactly that not …. Butter only at breakfast Cheap nasty wine and beer no spirits until after 6pm. Food is dire and the same menu every day. Meals are not self service like 99% of all inclusive places.
Also …. No entertainment at all Library silence required 11pm - no talking on the balcony. Plenty of wasps in the pool vents (need a good clean)
All in all absolutely shocking and no way on this planet is this hotel 4*. I have stayed in many 2* which would put this place to shame! Avoid avoid avoid !

I stayed with my wife for 5 days ALL INCLUSIVE i will start with the positive The staff was great kind and the greek receptionist was great. The housekeeping was great very clean rooms everyday.
The negative For All inclusive its not worth the money. Its terrible it has the same menu for food in the afternoon and for dinner! Also its the same menu every 2 days only some plates change. Who knows when they were made. The salads were 2 days old the main dishes were the same all week almost. Dont touch the risotto awful and most of the foods. Good thing the rooms toilets work very well! Breakfast the same everyday boring and not much veriety. As for the bar And for all-inclusive i would not pay a penny for the drinks and cocktails.All are from boxes premade cant taste any alcohol how can some one pay for this cocktail wich is 6-7 euros. The all inclusive its not worth it better off going to town end save your gut!!! P.S we left 1 day earlier ! That explains everything!!

Great little hotel, lovely quiet pool area to chill and relax around - the cushion pads for the sun loungers were a welcome addition and as a result , most of our holiday was spent round the pool. Room was of a good standard , recently refurbished I think. Lack of a hook to put the shower head on was an inconvenience and something that is fairly simple to fix as it just hung free.. could also do with either a screen or shower tray to prevent the water from going all over the floor but in the grand scheme of things, these are fairly minor. We found the staff really friendly and nothing was ever too much trouble. The girls in the resteraunt were exceptional and we enjoyed our visits every day. We found the all inclusive to be fairly decent - a good choice of food on the menus and it was all very tasty. Spirits and cocktails weren’t great as they were watered down so we just stuck to beer! Would definitely return and if the small issues above are sorted then would definitely be a 5 star review! Brilliant holiday :)

Staying at the Sunrise Joy Aqua Hotel is good and an adventure worth taking advantage of. The rooms are clean and the presence of Wi-Fi is easy. the swimming pools are very good and the water sports are very beautiful, but the level of food is not excellent, but acceptable and limited, as well as drinks. We are just leaving this lovely hotel after our fift visit so far and there will be definitely another one!!we simply love this place. It’s very quiet and peaceful and that’s what we like. Every year it’s getting better and better especially with food. ( what a great idea to serve lunch at pool bar!! ) All the staff makes a huge effort to make you feel welcomed and relaxed . We visit this lovely hotel every year with 6 friends and once again had a fantastic stay, rooms are lovely and spotlessly clean as always. Some small extra additions to make your stay even more comfortable, new mattresses for the sunbeds make a huge difference to your comfort by the pool.
