Newly refurbished in 2009 with its new modern minimal character and very spacious and unique accommodation, will certainly give you the comfort you expect from your holidays. The four star Filoxenia Hotel is only 4 km away from Zante town, ideally situated in one of the less busy and beautiful countryside in the island, within 20-30 minutes walking from Tsilivi beach and the busy resort center.Modern amenities, a sprinkling of umbrellas by the poolside, 2 swimming pools and a children's pool accentuate the natural beauty of our complex for the young guests.

Many guests commend Filoxenia Hotel for its clean and spacious rooms featuring modern touches, yet some feel they could benefit from refurbishment. While the multiple pools and balconies are popular, the additional fees for air conditioning and safes, alongside the mixed views on food variety, have left several travelers questioning the hotel's value.
The location garners mixed reviews, with some enjoying the quietness and others troubled by its distance from attractions and noise issues. Service is generally well-regarded, but the atmosphere is often described as lacking vibrancy.

We're coming up to the end of our holiday now but had 2 weeks here and it's mainly lovely. Great hotel, little out of town but only 6€ in a taxi to all the bars.
Food: A good selection to chose from, not hot food but that's how the Greeks eat their food (not cold though). Changes everyday and was really nice.
Rooms: Rooms are huge, we had the Sunflower room (121) we have 2 large king-size beds plus a single, with modern bathroom (see pics). We have a downstairs room so has steps from the terrace up to the pool with more chairs just for us. Probably the best room we've ever stayed in.
Staff: from the receptionist to cleaners, restaurant staff and bar staff, everyone is amazing they all work as a team and the result is great. Nothing is too much for them, and they're so friendly.
WiFi: Don't come here if you're expecting to have WiFi signal, it's OK in reception and bar but as soon as you go to your room it's non existent. Says "connected with no Internet" which is shockingly bad, would be great if you could install an extra router, as the current WiFi would put us off coming back.
Drinks: Included is your normal Gin, Vodka, Brandy and Ouzo, with beer available too but they also have Whiskey, Amaretto, Peach Schnapps and a local "malibu" like drink included within all inclusive. This is the best variety we've had in an all inclusive.
Pool: There are 2 pools, 1 for each block, as the hotel filled up, a lot of people reserving sunbeds and going to breakfast, we didn't reserve any as this is a bit rude. The sunbeds near our room only had sun until 1pm ish so the ones the other side filled up first.
Side note: if you are allergic to wasps like myself, this isn't the hotel for you, I've spent a few sunny days in the room because of the mass amount of wasps around the pool.

We have just returned from this wonderful hotel whilst being out there for a close friends wedding. We travelled with out 5 year old, and 9 month old.
On arrival we were promptly shown to our room which was on the ground floor, 2 massively spacious, clean, fresh rooms 😍
I have to say I have never stayed somewhere so clean in my life, they clean everyday, change towels and bed every other ( I think it was).
There was a huge bed for my partner and I, then 2 singles beds pushed together for our daughter and a travel cot for our baby.
We had a little kitchenette, which was perfect as we needed to make bottles ect.
A lovely clean bath/shower and 2 little vernada areas outside.
There are 3 pools, one of them being a kids pool, all spacious and clean. A guy can be seen checking the pools in a morning.
There are plenty of sunbeds/chairs tables spread about. Like at any other hotel you always get the ones who get up early to save a bed, but that's the way it is everywhere.
There isn't a huge choice of food, but what there is,is plentiful and tasty.
We have everything from Gyros, Lamb, chicken, chips, pizza, lots of traditional Greek dishes.
Always ice cream, fruit,yoghurts ect.
Breakfast was a mixture of cooked and also pastries, fruit ect.
Not being a big drinker I cannot comment on the drinks from the bar, but water was always available.
We chose a couple of days to walk into the town which was maybe 15 minutes away. There are plenty of shops and restaurants, and on the odd occasion we needed a taxi elsewhere the reception were happy to organise this for us.
The air con is only on at certain times a day, and if you want it for 24 hours a day you have to pay which cost us 6 euros a day. We only chose to do this one day as it was extremely hot and the kids were struggling with the heat.
We paid 40 euros for late check out which gave us till 5pm then we're able to sit on the cool reception and wait for the bus.
All in all this hotel is fantastic!
Would definitely return and explore more of Zante.
Thank you

We have just come back from a week at the Filoxenia Hotel and we have had the best time! The hotel is perfectly clean, we had a lovely modern newly refurbished family room that was really spacious. There was me, my husband and our 4 and 2 year old in our room, we had 2 double beds, a single bed and a cot (we paid an extra 35 euros for the cot for the week) so we all ended up with a bed each! 🤣 we were a party of 10 and it felt like the hotel had really thought about which rooms were best for us all, we have small children and we're given a room on the ground floor so there was no waiting for lifts / carrying prams upstairs etc.
The food was lovely, all really fresh and different themes each day and the puddings were amazing!
Every single staff member was amazing, they couldn't do enough for us and every single one of them always met us with big smiles, it was a really lovely atmosphere.
Our 2 year old made great friends with the barman who went out of his way to make a fuss of him everytime he saw him, the maid also played peekaboo with him every morning!
We went in mid August and we never had any issues with getting sunbeds around the pool which was an absolute bonus! No towel wars 😁
The location of the hotel is a little far out roughly 15-20 mins walk from the start of the town and around 30 mins walk to the beach. But the hotel puts on a free mini bus to the beach every morning and afternoon so it didn't bother us. We had 2 strollers with us which just fitted in the back of the mini bus without having to fold them down which made things really easy! Its a pleasant walk but can be quite hot especially in the day in August, so we used to get the bus in the morning to the beach and walk back. We enjoyed the walk back at night after an evening in the town, felt nice and safe, its a busy route, there was always lots of people / cars around.
We had an absolutely amazing time, can't fault the hotel or staff at all. Would highly recommend staying here and hope to go back again soon!

The hotel was a good hotel, the staff were excellent and couldn’t help enough. The food, although a small selection was enough to have a few selection’s throughout the week and was of a good standard, any longer than a week and I’d imagine it would all be a bit samey.
To rooms were tidy and always kept clean, also the doors had its main patio door followed by a drilled door that could let air in but still be screened and locked, a great idea.
The bars were open from 10am until 11 pm for free drinks, they had all the usuals but no cocktails.
If you have mobility issues, then this hotel might not be for you. A series of large steps would great you on many an occasion without an option for you to use a ramp. And in fairs that could be said for the whole town.
Entertainment was limited here , and to be fair this is not a hotel for families as short of the pool there is little for children to do .
A walk into town is about 20 minutes, or €10 in a taxi, we preferred the walk. Also Zante town is also €15 in a taxi,. Tsillivi is a great resort to visit and this hotel is ideal if you want it quiet but with a nice walk into town and you don’t have Mobil issues.

Upon arrival after the coach transfer of around 20 mins we were greeted with a warm welcome. After completing documentation we were taken to our room on the 2nd floor.
The room was HUGE, Corbet room, 2 bedrooms 5 beds in total and 3 balconies. A couch, fridge and tea & coffee making facilities in a separate room and fully equipped bathroom. All well decorated and spotless. Probably the best room in Greece we have ever stayed in. Air con was chargeable at €6 per day but we didn’t need it. TV, hairdryer in both rooms.
Pool areas great lots of sunbeds available and all cleaned daily. Clean pool towels changed daily at reception without having to leave a deposit.
Food could have been better, maybe a cooking station albeit there was something for everyone. Just a little repetitive. But this is reflected in the price of the holiday.
Drinks good quality. Staff in this area took a while to get to know you and in the end they were fine and friendly 😊with “lemons” readily available. Thank you Spyros.
Location is ok about 10 mins walk into the town with good bars and restaurants. Taxis and bus available and reasonable in price.
Reception, restaurant, cleaning and maintenance staff all very friendly.
Ian is in hand to help and walks around making sure everyone is happy. Have to say this is a nice touch and never had this from hotel staff anywhere we had been.
Entertaining was ok, singers and karaoke was such a laugh.
Have to say, we met some really nice people staying in the hotel and had a great time. Yamas 🥂

+1
We had a fantastic stay here in mid August 2023 as a family of 4 (2 adults and 2 children 11 and 14).
The accommodation was very nice, with 2 very large bedrooms opening onto a balcony, a small living area and bathroom. It was clean and kept so by the lovely domestic staff. The beds were huge and comfortable, although I do like a firmer mattress.
The rooms were brightly decorated and an effort has clearly been made to modernise them. AC access was increased due to the heatwave so the additional payment for 24/7 wasn't needed.
It's the first time we had gone all inclusive and were a little hesitant about how our rather fussy daughter would have been with the food. However we needn't have worried. There was always a good selection of hot food and salads, the latter of which were extremely good. Some of the hot items were done to a budget (the fish in particular), but it was always very nice. On a few occasions there were special items cooked and made up fresh (Gyros and Calamari being the highlights). I honestly cannot understand some of the more negative reviews regarding the food.
Inclusive drinks were limited to the cheaper brands, but were nice enough and whatever the beer was it was rather pleasant.
The location is a bit of a walk to the beach, about 20-25 minutes. This was a bit of a struggle in the August sun. There is a minibus a few times a day which will run you into the town close to the beach. The hotel is on quite a busy road and there is a bus stop outside with a service into Zakinthos Town. Although busy the noise isn't intrusive.
We hired a car for the middle part of our stay and there is parking under the olive trees to the side of the hotel. This is perfect as it keeps the car in the shade.
The bar, restaurant and reception staff were all lovely and always helpful.
Overall we had a lovely time staying here and I would certainly recommend staying here.

1. Arrival
When we arrived Vicky took us to our room and was very pleasant
2. Location
There is a shop selling anything else that you might need about 5 minutes away
The location was perfect for us. A really long beach is a 20 minute walk from the hotel and the water is crystal clear. I believe that the hotel provides a bus service to the beach but we never used it.
We had quite a few pleasant walks during our stay over to Zante town, which is about 40 minutes away on foot.
3. Our Room
We were in room 326.
The room was very new looking, modern and very clean.
Large comfortable bed and balcony overlooking the pool
Cleaning Staff in the room every day and towels changed if used - best I've seen in a hotel and I have stayed in many 5 star hotels around the world.
4. Dining
Always a good selection of food at each sitting
Fabio, a great character, runs the restaurant and all staff were friendly, helpful and approachable
5. Bars
Staff very attentive, hard working and friendly
Local drinks available and were absolutely fine.
6. Pools/ Sunbeds.
There are 2 pools on site and the area is kept very clean
We always found a sunbed if we wanted to relax at the pool

This is a very nice hotel. the food is good, the staff are friendly and helpful. The swimming pools are clean, with plenty of sunbeds available. The room cleaning staff are excellent and looked after us well throughout our stay. The prices are about average. in the restaurant, for the area. The hotel will look after your luggage if you have a late night departure and also make a room available for a shower and change of clothes. The only thing that stops me giving this 5 stars is that I did not like our room, my partner did. We had a room at lower ground level that was set out for a disabled person. I would have preferred a room on one of the upper floors.

Room 219, celebrating 50th wedding anniversary, departed 11October 2022. Firstly the posetives, one of the best holidays we have had, yes some people will always find fault, but we are easy to please. Some of the negative comments are from people who would complain if it was 10 star and free.
Now the negatives. These are not complaints but observations. It is the only hotel I have been in that is managed by the evening barman. This hotel could benefit by a visit of an expert hotel inspector. Purchase a food themometer, stop the thump thump music which is chosen by the evening barman, and stop him watching his favourite soap on telly. And stop the evening barman from choosing what the Greek night musician plays.
In saying the above,we are planning to return next year, but for 3 weeks
I have given enough information if the hotel wishes to contact me.

We are just back from a week at the Filoxenia Hotel.
We had a great stay at this hotel, the rooms are large enough en cleaned every day by Donna( lovely lady.)
All the personnel is really friendly from the receptionist till the waiters in the restaurant, and the concierge/bus driver.
The beds are very big 2 king-size beds. we had the sunflower room (121) , and the room was renovated with excellent shower. and airco
The walk to the town is 15 min, there is shuttle bus, or you can take the local bus to Zakynthos town.
all the food is served in Buffet-form. with a lot of choice, not only Greek food.
2 remarks for improvement:
1) The food is not very warm, we would like it warmer.
2) The WIFI should be approved, when a lot of persons use WIFI the capacity is too low, then streaming video is not possible, and sometimes no WIFI is available due to connection issues.

It's classed as a four star hotel so I think, €7/night
I would start here:

Hi, you can order a taxi from the reception desk at any time to any destination. The cost for Lagana is about 30€. Filoxenia Hotel provides a shuttle bus to the local beach at certain times of the day at no extra charge.
Hi, iron and iron board are available to hire from reception desk at no cost.
