This was our second visit to aqua bay (previous visit 2016) , we didn't have hugely high expectations but we were still massively disappointed. Xenos have opened the aqua bay suites next door, also rated 5☆ and seem to have let the hotel standards slip drastically. Food was awful, like really awful. Cold. Old. Generally just bad. nothing cooked fresh, everything "appears" in trays from a big warming cupboard. Basically the hotel gets the suites left over, so if there is a chicken dish the suites will get breast and thighs, the hotel gets wings and other bones... Drinks were terrible, cheap versions, think rola cola...... either warm from a bottle or badly mixed from a pump. Beer was drinkable but after paying ££££'s it would be nice to have a decent drink. Pools were dirty, disgusting actually, especially the ones at the bottom on the way to the waterpark. Water park was too busy, no sunbeds or chairs to be found. Wave pool open 15 minutes 3 times a day. Entertainment was the worst we've ever seen. No outside acts at all, bingo, 20 question quiz, flag quiz... mini disco usual type of thing but exactly the same every night even the kids got bored. 1st room the shower didn't work, waited 3 days for a new room then made to check out at 11am and leave all our belongings in the luggage room and new room not available until 3pm. Daughter had terrible ear infection from dirty pools. Food and drinks are better in the suites (we eventually were given wrist bands, just to shut us up) They have 3 x the staff over there for 25% the amount of guests. Basically the hotel guests are being treated like 2nd class citizens compared to the suites but they are the same ☆rating and price when booking from UK. Hotel generally needs lots of maintenance, decking boards have screws sticking out, trip hazards everywhere. Summary. Aqua bay suites are lovely, don't expect the same if you book the hotel, this place needs closing down. Also its on the flight path, huge noisy jets overhead all day long

we have just returned from a week at aqua bay! we had a wonderful week hotel - aqua bay is beautiful, plenty of swimming pools in every direction so never any fuss for getting a sun bed - most have pols directly out of rooms and you have sun beds and chairs so perfect, the decor of the reception and dining room all super clean and modern. rooms - were a little small, my partner found the bed really uncomfortable. the air con was amazing and worked a treat. the mattress was super lumpy - like really bad and needs putting in the bin! kids area sectioned off by shutters - not very private but better than nothing! toiletries all in bathroom and plenty of towels you can also get beach towels and change whenever you like waterpark - 2 seconds away, good, not that many rides but kept the kids happy. the toddler/ young child section is huge but the water is really cold! food - unfortunately this is what let the place down :( nothing is self serve and they have to plate up for you and follow you around - you get used to it the food is no where near 4 star. i found the hotel restaurant to be best for breakfast but no omlette or pancake man and everything cold. when it comes to lunch and dinner it’s best to stick with the waterpark but you HAVE to book the waterpark in the evenings the day before. for lunch there is a snack bar and the pizza/ salad and sandwiches are not too bad at all. they all ways have fresh melon and fruit too when it comes to evenings it was hit and miss - we ended up eating out the last 2 nights. we had gyros one night and the meat was literally just fat rind. no meat! ( just go into the town at lunch and amazing gyros for 2.50 euros) but defeats point of being all inclusive ! the a la carte is actually lovely - the drinks are 100 x nicer and so is the food - it’s such a shame only eat to visit once - if that was the level of food daily it would be perfect. the portions small though. drinks - not that great at all. diet coke did not taste good at all. best thing was pineapple juice fresh orange at breakfast was good. entertainment - the girls are relentless and work so long all day - we had toddler that loved the mini disco at 8:30 it’s repetitive but that’s what they love! we didn’t really stay later apart from the last night - they did a fire show and also the man was standing on glass and this was amazing. the fire show was outside at the wave pool and finished our holiday perfectly!!! beach - follow signs to beach and end up on a tiny little beach that wasn’t that great. walk out the hotel turn right and head to donkey beach ( on google maps) and that was PERFECT! There is also inflatable in the sea but son didn’t think it was that great but only 5 euro. the beds were 5 euro for 2 with umbrella and great beach bar wasps - unfortunately the place is full of them it’s not just the hotel it’s everywhere even the beach. you have to ignore them or they will drive you nuts. we opted to have breakfast indoors and then dinner after sunset and you will avoid them!! the poor bar men covered in them. not sure anything they could do! all in all great holiday, we was upset about the food and drink but some amazing cheap restaurants nearby. planos bay was next door and has same access to the waterpark / restaurant and was 1000 cheaper when we booked - if had known would have stayed there then ate out more with the savings. beautiful place, extremely well kept and clean, but just need to improve the food!

Nice time - reception - friendly service, modern interiors, accommodation after 1pm At the Introduction we got cold drinks, very nice. - Hotel area - consists of several buildings, each building has its own swimming pool. Beautifully decorated. It is quiet and peaceful. You don't feel the amount of people in the hotel. - Restaurant and bars in the hotel - Food imposes service, efficient and pleasant, food very good. Great drinks, even around 10:30 pm you can get sandwiches at the bar. - Rooms - a double room, not big but clean, nicely decorated. Spacious bathroom. Two sinks. Cleaned daily. Clean towels every day and a bottle of drinking water. - Aquapark - as a hotel guest you can use all attractions. A very nice place. There is a restaurant with delicious snacks such as hamburger, toast, salads, yoghurt. Good drinks. - Beach - located a short distance, about 5 minutes, walking through the aquapark and olive grove. The beach is very narrow but charming. I rate the whole thing very well. Thank you for a great vacation!

On arrival the lobby is modern, smart and clean. The staff were stop on from the start. Booked in, temperature taken, room sorted and escorted to the room within minutes. No big groups hanging around to queing to be seen. The reception area is run like clock work. The room was on the first floor over looking a pool. All the rooms have a private pool that is shared with the block There is plenty of room, no issues getting a bed or umberellea. Pool are 1.25m and clean so great for ages 7 and up to play without a parent being in the water all the time The rooms are a decent size. Huge bathroom with his and hers basins, big power showers, large enough for two when you get 5 mins away from the kids. Two double wardrobes with hangers, safe and fridge which is stacked when you arrive. Filled with 3 1ltr waters every day. Queen size bed, two sofa singles but behind a sliding partition. Nice once the kids are asleep. Food. Main restaurant is great. Clean, fresh and the staff service is great. We didn't have a bad meal at all in 11 days. A full selection at each sitting. Cold and hot dishes. Deserts are great. The ice cream, I ate 3 helpings most meal times. The banana and pistachio ice cream is the best. Now every few days the chef does a special desert bowl. If you see these, get some. These were the best deserts all week. The pistachio bowl was a touch minty but OMG I could have eaten it all. Probably the best desert I've eaten in year. The staff were amazing with the boys as well. Made sure they had enough and encourage they to try different foods. Handed out balloons and taught the Greek words. The garden restaurant nights are ok, but the gardens are plagued by wasps. And no the small ones in England, these are twice the size and pack a punch when stung. The pools are great. Access to the water park which is still all food and drink inclusive. It really makes a difference as the kids wants snacks and drinks all day. Over all this is a great hotel for a family looking for a water park, great food and great staff service. A huge thank you to Rosaana. The receptionist in the afternoons and evenings. On two occasions I had an issue, she went out of her way to resolve it when it wasn't her job to do so. She then checked up on is to make sure everything went as planned. And I can't thank you enough for that. Also, my eldest son was unwell, she arrange for a doctor within minutes.

We had a great 11 night stay with family and friends, the hotel staff were so friendly and helpful. Our room was perfectly situated on the ground floor by the Walnut Tree Bar and Pool. Zante Town is lovely and just a short taxi ride away, also the local town of Tsilivi was just a few minutes walk away with lots of restaurants and shops. A visit to the mini golf is a must ⛳️ The one person who made our stay extra special was “Irdi” the Walnut Tree Barman. He was so attentive bringing us food and drinks, he’s so friendly and he literally made our holiday. The pool area is surrounded by decking, quite a few people got splinters but as long as your children have swim shoes it’s fine. The on site water park was great fun too and the all inclusive is included in the park too which was great. Lovely holiday and 5🌟service award for “Irdi”
