Booked this holiday last min for end of Aug due to our original holiday cancelled and having to move to next year (thanks covid) visited here as a family of 5. 3 children aged 8,12 & 13. Wasn’t expecting too much as was fairly cheap compared to what we usually pay for a holiday being a family of 5! Got to the hotel and check in fairly quick and smooth. Got to our room, was a little disappointed as our balcony was on the front and not the best view and the balcony was very small. But didn’t complain as we don’t stay in the room long only to get showered and sleep for the night which the room itself was perfect for. Plenty wardrobe space and bottles of water in the fridge. The hotel is very basic but served its purpose and clean. Food in the restaurant was nice. Staff were excellent. Andreas In The snack bar was fabulous! Remembered your names, where from etc. Which was lovely considering how many different people he speaks to on a daily basis. The restaurant staff worked hard and think people need to bare in mind this is a totally new situation for them as well as us as guests. We felt terrible them having to do everything for us as were that used to sorting ourselves out. The best part of this holiday by far is the water park. We spent most days and some evenings here. The snack bars at both the water park and hotel were brilliant. Food lovely, and made fresh to order which we loved and all included at no extra cost! We visited the Italian al la carte restaurant which again was fabulous. Dave on the cocktail bar at the water park was great too! The night entertainment wasn’t great but again they haven’t got a lot to work with under the current situation and restrictions so we weren’t really fazed. We had a walk out on a few evening and ate out at a restaurant called “The brothers” (don’t get confused with the other brothers restaurants) this is defo work a visit! Overall we had a fantastic week and felt totally safe the whole time being away. Wouldn’t hesitate to return. Would go back tomorrow given the chance!!

Stayed here with my Mum for a week (1st-8th Sept). We had never been to Greece before and what a lovely experience it was! Hotel - Spotless across the board, from the reception to the hallways & bedrooms. Great location. Walk out of the hotel & turn right, you have some shops. Continue walking up the road for another few minutes & you come to the main resort centre with some lively bars! The Ark was fun & had lovely staff. Turn left outside the hotel & there’s a few quieter restaurants, a gorgeous bar (Kavali) & you also reach the beach this way too. Small but great views. Planos Bay is the sister hotel or Aqua Bay apartments where the nightly entertainment is - it’s only a few minute walk at the back of the hotel on a specific path. You can book into their specialist food nights (we didn’t) but we did visit the a la carte Italian restaurant (1 night free in your stay) on the site & it was AMAZING! So tasty & a beautiful setting. Staff - The staff at Planos bay need a specific mention. I’ve travelled to many places in the world & they are the best, most courteous & polite staff I have ever met. With COVID-19 effecting the way so many things are run at all inclusive hotels, it’s a new experience for everyone but nothing was too much for the staff. Vasillis (apologies for spelling) checked us in & was so helpful from the moment we arrived. Julie on reception was also great. The restaurant staff were so happy & helpful all day, every day! Andreas at the snack bar was a delight & it was a pleasure to chat with him every day. They all remembered who you were & greeted you with a smile. Bedrooms - Clean & tidy, so spacious & beds were pretty comfy. Even though there was 2 of us, it would definitely fit a family of 4. We had two rooms, one with a double bed & another with 2 singles. We stayed in 314 & had a lovely view of the pool as do most rooms but only few get the sun on the balcony. Location - As previously mentioned, closed to a lot of things. We like to have a walk & a cocktail most nights on holiday so it was perfect. Many people are worried to travel during this time (understandably) but the staff in Planos Bay & Tsvilli as a whole were brilliant & it was definitely worth the risk to take a holiday.

Arrived September 4th for a week with my daughter and grandson aged 3. Had to wait 3 1/2 hours for our room to be ready! which wasnt the best start with a tired 3 year old! Hotel is nice with friendly staff, our room wasnt the best however, on the 3rd floor overlooking the road above reception, we shared the floor with the staff, apart from 3 apartments at the end, it was quite noisy at night with music from bars, balcony rather small! The food was ok but as you couldnt serve yourself, it was difficult to see what choice you had, it was too far away, ended eating out every night, breakfast was ok and some snacks were not bad. Water park was good and only 5 minutes walk away, breakfast and snack and drinks also available there, we had an Italian night there, food was quite nice. No instructions where anything was though at the hotel, had to ask where everything was, and what time things opened etc No menus for food and drink either ( I know this was covid) but would of been nice to have been informed on things! Hotel is in a nice position 5 minutes walk from a beach, shops on your doorstep. 15-20 minutes to the centre of town, nice resort. The staff were very aware of covid with mask wearing and taking your temperature before you went in the restaurant, hand gel everywhere. We were there when they announced we had to quarantine when we went home! Tsilivi is a nice resort, dont know if I would visit this hotel again, maybe if covid wasnt around it would be different.

The hotel is smaller than I expected. Without the waterpark my review would be very different. The pool around the hotel is much smaller than it looks on the website, we went when the hotel was about 10% full due to covid and it was ok but if it was full capacity It would be seriously cramped. Due to covid i really hated going to dinner, having the waitresses get your food for you was the worst part of my day, sometimes u would get what u asked for, mostly not. Sometimes u would get half a plate of food thrown back at you when you hadnt actually finished looking at what you wanted. Very little choice, very little veggie dishes, I did ask at reception about the lack of vegetables and was told there was always at least one veggie choice. My partner ate sprouts and potatoes for dinner one evening. That was the length of the "veggie" dishes. Service aside the food was actually very tasty, the snack bar was a life safer and the one over at the waterpark is quick and delicious. The drinks were fine, the coke was gross but the rest nice. The beach is about 5 mins away. Recommend the cocktails at the pub over the road and on the corner. The hotel was clean, due to covid the rooms are only cleaned every 3 days but that's no problem, they give u plenty of towels and toilet rolls etc to keep you going. The entertainment was poor but with the restrictions the entertainment team were doing everything themselves and they looked to be working really hard, bless them. The beds are comfy and the aircon powerful in the bedroom but in the second bedroom its absolutely boiling. The atmosphere around the hotel was very subdued and quiet but this was definitely due to covid and I wouldnt judge the hotel on that. I feel really sorry for the staff that the goverment stopped travel for uk visitors as they work really hard and I felt very safe at all times. Temp checks and sanitiser are some of the measures in place and of course masks need to be used outside the hotel at all times. Recommend ABBA travel just a few doors down from the hotel. We booked a boat trip here and really enjoyed our day out. Will 100% be back to greece, maybe not this hotel.

Lukasz and Bartosz. We stayed at the Planos Bay Hotel in the last week of August 2020. I’ll start with the receptionists and staff, who are all helpful and sympathetic. The hotel isn't that big, but it is kept clean. The room we stayed in was kept nice and clean with a balcony overlooking the pools. There’s two enjoyable pools and you’ll have no problem finding sunbeds throughout the whole day. In the hotel you’ll find the main restaurants with a delicious selection of food, and with very hard working cooks and waiters that managed the COVID-19 situation extremely well. We have a lot of respect for all of them. Apart from the main restaurant there was also the pool bar, which is run by young and awesome staff. Great thanks to Theo, Laura and Andreas for the service (especially the tequila with salt and lemon - your shots are the best - we recommend!!!). In the bar, apart from the local alcohols, they also serve really tasty snacks and drinks. We highly recommend the pool bar. The crew there is full of great, positive energy all day long (you’re incredible). A great thing is the free entry to the Aquapark everyday, which is only a 3-5 minute walk from the hotel (this is only for those with the all inclusive option). You can use the 2 bars in the Aquapark for free. In these bars you can get snacks, food, salads, coffee, iced coffee, alcohols and more. The bar is run by very polite girls, Emily and Georgia. Throughout the day, many activities are arranged at the Aquapark, ie ping-pong, darts, waterpolo. These are organized by creative, fantastic, full of energy animators (Danny, Maddie, Kathy, Alice). They also organize shows at nighttime at the Aquapark, where you can get dinner at a restaurant that serves different dishes every day (Mexican, BBQ, Italian etc). This restaurant has to be booked at the reception at the beginning of your stay. Also thanks to Anne, Georgia and the rest of the crew who served us after the restaurant closed. In summary, we highly recommend this hotel, as there’s many ways in which you can spend your time. You could stay at the hotel and the pool, you could go to the Aquapark and spend your day there or you could go down to the beaches which are a 10-20 minute walk. Our only negatives are that if you’re staying in a double room only one of them will have air conditioning and that there was a lack of music at the pool, but we were allowed to use our own speaker.
