It was a great stay. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable, the staff friendly and accommodating. The hotel is conveniently located close to the main street but still very quiet. BUT the food they serve is extraordinary in every aspect and I can't praise it highly enough. I highly recommend Hotel Villa Monica.
Our last review written way back in 2013 was titled "Perfection in the Pustertal Valley." Ever since then, with the COVID exception of 2020, we have been regular guests at this hotel during the winter ski season. As we are now planning our stay for January, 2023, we realized that an update of our review is past due. First of all, there is now the addition of a beautiful wellness/sauna center with a fantastic view. The kitchen continues to provide excellent choices from the bountiful breakfast to the superb dinners, some of which occur on theme nights of special treats as we previously noted. We always look forward to checking-in to the same room year-after-year as we know we will be every bit as comfortable there as we are at home. Also, the hotel is perfectly situated for easy walking to the town bus stop from where buses travel in all directions for day trips of cross-country skiing or whatever. We can't end this review without mentioning that Monika and Roman continue to be the perfect hosts in all respects.…
We have stayed here several times and never been disappointed. The owners Monica and Roman could not do more for their guests, The food is simply amazing, The Comfort room we had was large, very comfortably furnished and spotless. There is a small balcony with seats and the shower and toilet have separate rooms. All very comfortable and with a very good wi-fi connection. We have travelled extensively and never found any establishment that matches our experiences here. Thank you Monica , Roman and all your staff.
Hotel is located in quiet but convenient location, great for hiking, our main reason for visiting the area. Staff is very friendly and helpful. We chose breakfast and dinner, breakfast buffet was good but dinner was excellent, usually a four-course meal - compliments to the chef.
Just returned to the UK after a weeks hiking in the Alps was very impressed with the service at the Hotel Villa Monica Food was great, room was good and the music night was excellent deserves better than its 3 star rating. Will definitely return if I get the chance to visit the alps again and would recommend it to anyone travelling to the Toblach region.
I spend a week with my wife in this lovely hotel for hiking. Friendly staff, clean rooms and an extraordinary food. My favourite has been the Italian cuisine like pasta as well as a t-bone steak. Fresh air due to the altitude of 1200m and remarkable quite at night.
A group of us stayed at the Hotal Villa Monica for a cross-country ski vacation this past winter. This lovely family run hotel has it all. Comfortable clean accommodation, homey but luxurious atmosphere, convenient location for accessing local transportation, superb cuisine, a heavenly spa, friendly helpful staff and over-the-top service from our hosts Monika and Roman. The food really is fantastic. It is more like you would expect to find in a fine dining establishment rather than a family run hotel. When our group ran into some difficult situations toward the end of our stay, Monica and Roman went completely above and beyond to help us out and we are extremely grateful!! We cannot say enough wonderful things about this superb hotel. We will definitely be returning.
Stayed a week skiing couldn't have picked a better hotel. Located close to central bus loop and a short walk to train. Monica and Roman go out of their way to make sure you have a great stay, excellent food and the best staff ever. Can't wait to return again for another visit.
I spent 2 weeks on a hiking vacation here at Hotel Villa Monica. I can't imagine getting any better service any where else. The hotel is beautiful. The patio out front and the lounge area around the side are perfect to relax in after a day of hiking. The rooms are fantastic. Very clean. The food in the restaurant is fabulous. Supper is what I would expect in a 5 star hotel. All of the staff are excellent and very friendly. A perfect family run business. Thank you so much Monica and Roman for making this a perfect memorable vacation. I hope to return again someday soon!
This was our 3rd visit and so obviously we were already impressed with this hotel. Apart from very comfortable and well equipped rooms with WC separate to bathroom it offers a fantastic restaurant, impeccable service and free car parking. Most guests go to walk or cycle in this beautiful part of the Dolomites. It is very close to the bus station and an easy walk to the train station so it is easy to explore the area. Bike hire is easily available and there is hardly any cycling on the road necessary as nearly all is on dedicated cycle ways and similarly there are dedicated walking paths. We saw many guests who were also staying on our previous visits which speaks volumes about the hotel. Monica and Roman are friendly, welcoming and work incredibly hard to cater for their guests as do all the staff both seen and unseen ( I would like to take the chef home). We fully intend to return.…
