Sakinaw lake lodge was incredible. You arrive expecting nice. You get incredible. You get spa like qualities in a rustic setting. We floated up 8 dudes celebrating our friends pending nuptials for the weekend and found that it was the perfect setting for a relaxing getaway. Saying that if you are booking this place for a stag you must be... More

My partner and I stayed here on a bicycle trip in July 2009. The location was simply stunning with the dual layer salt and fresh water lake that makes for clear waters. The amazing outdoor kitchen and hottub, and delicious breakfast. The hosts were so gracious and even gave us a lift with our bikes to the ferry. It was... More

The Sunshine Coast is one of the most beautiful places I have every visited, and Lake Sakinaw was the highlight of our trip to BC. My brother-in-law recommended the lake lodge to us, and we were lucky enough to get a great deal for a 4 night stay in July. We had the lodge to ourselves on the first night,... More

10 of us enjoyed a weekend at Sakinaw Lake Lodge in August and all of us rated it the best weekend of the summer. Not bad considering how amazing the summer has been. From cliff jumping, to 50 swims/day, to hottubbing, to kayaking with my dog, to delicious meals prepared in the outdoor kitchen, to laying on the dock at... More

With a boat ride to simply arrive at the lodge, it’s a great start to a stay. Dave and Alyssa made us feel very welcome from the very start. The Lodge is very clean, comfortable and well appointed, with all the amenities you could want. The views from the deck are awesome and chilling by having a swim in the... More

Thank you for the great review! i just wanted to clarify regarding the comment about the water being "cold". Everyone has different cold tolerance of course but part of what people love about Sakinaw Lake is the warm water. In fact it's one of the warmest lakes in BC. In July, August, and September, the water temperature is reliably above... More

Me and 10 friends stayed at Sakinaw Lake Lodge over July 2nd Canada Day long weekend. This property is absolutely beautiful. Everything is very well spaced out. The outside docks, outside kitchen, various patios, firepit area. No matter where you are -- you always have a view of the beautiful lake and surrounding trees. This lake is gorgeous. The water... Thank you so much for the thoughtful and detailed review. The long weekend temperatures were well above average; however, it does happen and we certainly don't want a little heat getting in the way of a relaxing stay at the lake. Being an off grid property where we generate our own power, AC isn't really an option. What we have... More

Five couples stayed here over July long weekend and had a wonderful time. The lodge is very large with several different areas to enjoy. Lots of deck space, indoor kitchen is spacious, outdoor kitchen is an excellent addition to allow us to cook while still enjoying being outdoors. The lake was so warm allowing you to enjoy swimming out to... More

My girlfriend got married at a private residence on the lake so we used this for the pre wedding bride suite & overflow. The wedding was in March & it was raining hard the night we crossed from the house to the Lodge. The pontoon boat Garrett uses to pick you up in is great. We had 6 of us... More

We stayed at the Lodge for two nights in September and could not have had a better experience. We were on our way from Vancouver to Desolation Resort for a kayaking break and stayed there en route.
