Now my wife and I normally go for hot sunshine holidays but as it was our 30th wedding anniversary last year we thought we would do something different. You cannot get much more different than Torassieppi in Jan/Feb. We arrived in a temp of -33 and our first adventure was

We stayed at Torassieppi for two nights, one in an aurora dome the other in an igloo in the ice hotel. Both were amazing experiences. We stayed in the Igloo on our first night in Finland, it was a brilliant experience, maybe just a tad chilly, I would advise staying near the end

Great location, not too big, friendly staff, amazing food, cosy cabins and so much to do. Snowshoeing, dog sledding, cross country skiing, snowmobiling, reindeer farm, horse riding, ice bar, northern lights, fat biking...Definitely recommend.

A four-day visit to Torassieppi, booked through Magic of Lapland (one of their Santa short breaks). Two adults, one child (9 years-old). We had high expectations, but we were completely blown away. Torassieppi is a wonderful, magical place. The simple but perfectly

I only stayed one night at the hotel in an Aurora Dome. This was SO great! I really enjoyed my night and I got to see the northern lights. In the evening I had dinner in the restaurant. Good food and friendly staff.

Huskysledding is one of the most powerful, magical und unforgettable things you can/should do ever in your life! The tireless and loyal dogs in front, the wonderful nature all around you, the snow below the sled, the continous bread of the dogs and once in a while some creak of the wood in your ears and the warming sun on your skin, while everything is just peaceful and so far away. Go for it and you'll understand why you want to do it again, and again. I advise a two or three day tour, you're going to learn more and benefit more of the whole life in this wilderness and the thankful, lovely dogs. But don't forget, it's a sport it's not just standing on a sled! You'll see - it's awesome!

Hey Carly I did'nt book anything, because I had a friend working there... I know it existes a few organizations, with them u can also book the activities. I think it's cheaper, when u book the activities locally, or directly with Torassieppi (sometimes they're early fully booked, so it's better to book the activities before arriving) Enjoy this beautiful place :-) Cheers
