I stayed here and asked MANY times about the local bus from abisko to Kiruna. Was never told that you had already received info that it was cancelled!!! This could have ruined my holiday but luckily I managed to get a last minute transfer from a random taxi driver driving nearby. The previous night, we had ticket for night visit...

We booked a cottage for six and found it perfect: warm, cute and comfortable. The size was just right. Also, the receptionist at the small shop where you rent warm clothes and buy souvenirs was extremely helpful with tips on warming up. We got a view across the lake and the northern lights decided to visit all of us one...

As a staging post for ventures into Abisko National Park and/or Abisko Mountain Station in search of the Aurora, this hotel is perfectly adequate and comfortable. Whilst basic, the rooms are warm and the beds comfortable. We were fortunate in having a view across the lake from our window but less fortunate with the absence of any curtain in the...

We stayed here for one night in the hotel and had booked the Aurora Sky Station package which included an evening dinner. Due to adverse weather conditions the chairlift was out of use. We appreciate that these things happen but our booking said that if we did not go to the sky station then an alternative program would operate on...

Reading some reviews of the Mountain Station we had fairly low expectations ahead of our stay here, but were very pleasantly surprised. Clean, smart and modern rooms, friendly and helpful staff and a great breakfast, along with nice touches of Scandinavian design that really lifted the overall experience. We would definitely stay again if travelling to Abisko.

The hotel is almost 200km north of the Artic Circle situated on Lake Tornetrâsk in the Abisko National Park. Being winter, most people stay in the hope of seeing the Northern Lights either directly from the hotel or from the Aurora Sky Station, accessible by chair lift, which is a short walk away. The hotel is fairly basic as are...

I find it difficult to write this review cause we did see the Northern Lights. And they were simply perfect. But the rest...room is old, dirty and cold. Shower is horrible. Smell in the corridor is unsupportable. Restaurant is ok though there is no choice at all. We decided to have apéro before dinner. The only place it is served...

The best place of the hostel is its location. You can easily see aurora through the window of your room. The room is clean and tidy, 2 of us booked a 4-ppl room so its spacious enough. The shared bathroom is kept in good condition and no need to wait for shower room / W.C throughout the stay. The pantry...

Yes the accommodation is on a par with a youth hostel. However it was clean, warm and the bed was very comfortable. Whilst your room maybe basic. The evening meal we had was delicious and as other reviewers have put of a very high standard. It is a set menu but we enjoyed all of ours. Breakfast is not as...

Excellent place set in beautiful surroundings. Lots of walks and trip up to Sky Station is amazing. Sadly no Northern Lights for us. Had gourmet evening meal at the Sky Station which was fabulous and the staff there were great and very knowledgeable - expensive though! Hotel was very cosy with large clean room and great double aspect view.
