We opened "Jardin Kotori", luxury desert camp in Merzouga Morocco! "Jardin" means garden in French, "Kotori" means little bird in Japanese. We named "Jardin Kotori" to hope our camp will be a paradise oasis in desert.
“Perfect” is the word to sum it up. Umer was the most entertaining host we met in a long time. Bundle it up with enchanting local music and good food one cannot ask for more that too in middle of desert. We felt at home in that magical night. Highly recommended.

We had an unforgettable stay here and I wish we could stay longer! The entire experience was magical. We had a private camel ride, led by Aziz, with a beautiful sunset on the dunes. This was followed by some star gazing. We even were able to watch the World Cup Semi-Final that Morocco was in with the whole crew. Our room was extremely cozy and warm. Since we came in December, I was a bit nervous about the cold desert temperature at night, but there were plenty of blankets, and hot water in the shower, so it was perfectly comfortable. The food was also excellent. Thanks for the peaceful stay!

Excellent stay. Our evening included camel ride, overnight sleep in a very very! nice camp tent, live traditional music, socialising next to a fireplace, nice food, and a very happy/friendly and open environment. I will always remember this day. Totally recommend it!

This was the best experience ever! Omar really went above and beyond to give us the best experience we could wish for. Also his brothers and friends at this location are more than nice. For example, when we got back a little late from the sunset, they already came looking for us because they were sincerely worried. So sweet!! In addition, we had (by far) the best food here in the 3 weeks we were in Morocco and that's saying something! The awesome people here don't want to give you an experience here like all tourists have in the desert, but much, much better! We came here as tourists but left as family. These people will stay in our hearts forever. If you want to get the most out of your stay at the desert, and a (way) better experience than the average tourist, then you have to stay with these amazing people!!…

Room Tip:Stay more than 1 night. You don't visit the desert that often, so get it all out.

We had an amazing time here! Omar, Achmed and the brothers are so kind and friendly and helped us with everything to make us feel like home. We had a very good breakfast and dinner! We eat vegetarian but that was also no problem :) The tent was big and luxury (and clean!) with a nice bathroom. In the evening we maked music and that was also a lot of fun! :D we could also participate in making music/play the drums in the evening haha .Sleeping in the tent was also nice, there are enough blankets to keep you warm. It does cool down a bit at night. We would definitely like to visit the merzouga and Jardin Kotori Luxury Camp again! :D
