The Mandola Rosa is the resort within the resort making up the Grecotel Kyllini complex. Staying at this hotel will allow you to enjoy the comforts of a boutique high end hotel whilst also being able to take advantage of the full range of services offered by the entire resort, which are vast. Numerous pools, a water slide part, archery, darts, outdoor and indoor gym. Kids are offered entertainment services and the kids club offers a verity of activities. It is also worth noting that this hotel’s ‘kids eat for free’ policy is very generous. Kids up to the age of 12 eat and drink for free. That also includes the occasional drink at the pool and beach bar a special ‘kids lunch’.

My Terrible rating is based mainly due to our kids gluten intolerance, if you do not have gluten intolerance, slide down below where the rest of the hotel is rated. I have asked the hotel prior our arrival if they have gluten free options - the hotel responded that in every restaurant is possible to get gluten-free option. When arrived in the hotel - this is true, but the options are just unacceptable. In buffet-style restaurant where there are plenty of foods - the only gluten free option were grilled vegetables. Even roasted meat is marinated in marinade which contains gluten which is really strange. Also, potatoes, etc. And when you arrive at such a restaurant you do not wish to wait another 15-30 minutes to be prepared something gluten free since you already are hungry. And honestly, you cannot eat French fries for every meal. At a la carte restaurants - you have to ask for everything, the allergens are just not market at the menus which is also for a person quite terrible experience. We also ordered gluten-free ice-cream as room service and it was delivered dipped in something which looked like gluten biscuits. So overall if you have gluten intolerance or allergy, please, in order to not be disappointed just avoid this hotel campus, they are just not ready for us. On the other side - if you do not have gluten problem the hotel is very nice, we were welcomed really nicely with welcome drinks (many types – you can see in pictures). All personnel are trying to be helpful; we really liked the sceneries; it really looks like on the photos (which is not always usual). We had the Delos villa - the only slight disappointment is that is not so private - we could see the neighbors because the dividing hedge was just too much cut, I would personally prefer more privacy. The campus is way too wide - there is not map, they will suggest you their app which doesn’t work really well all the time. Yet if you like walks its really nice big campus. The beach is ideal for small kids (even small kids could play in the sea because it’s very shallow for long time). When you book a villa you have also private gazebo - yet if you manage to get there (there are no signs and you have to ask the personnel how to get there), there is no map where yours is (I mean the Gazebo), but once you get around everything is really very nice. The beach is really sandy (no pebbles, not imported sand or whatsoever) and it seem private – not overcrowded and really very nice beach. So overall I would rate the hotel fantastic if you do not have any food intolerance, yet having the gluten intolerance, it was really big disappointment. You really do not want to spend your holidays asking all the time somebody about gluten, there are already hotels having marked everything everywhere what is suitable for people with certain food disabilities and are ready for these people much more. Because of that we only stayed 2 nights instead of 7, the hotel didn’t offer to compensate (I didn’t ask them to, yet I would expect proactive approach – they knew we were leaving because of the food problem), but I trust it’s important to mention.

Dear qalexandros, First of all we would like to thank you for the review, as well as for taking the time to submit your impressions about your recent stay at our hotel. We are particularly pleased to read that you enjoyed both the hotel's surroundings and the friendliness and willingness shown by the staff. At Grecotel Riviera Olympia & Aqua Park, having as our primary goal to offer the ultimate summer holiday experience, we strive daily to do our utmost to ensure that our guests experience the ultimate in Greek hospitality. For this reason, we regret to read that some parts of your stay did not meet your expectations. However, allow us to disagree on a few points. Regarding the issue of special dietary needs, indeed our hotel has the possibility of choosing specially tailored meals. Therefore, after the guest has informed and indicated his/her particular dietary needs, the hotel's catering departments are informed and they thoroughly organize the entire process of preparing the special diet. Grecotel Mandola Rosa, being a hotel friendly to people with food allergies, takes care to adopt and adhere to procedures and standards in order to effectively serve guests with specific dietary choices. In this regard, despite the failure we experienced on the first day of your stay, not having focused on your request regarding dietary needs, we tried to respond in a timely manner and give due diligence. So due to this unfortunate event, we would like to apologize, once again, deeply and hope that in the future we will have the pleasure to offer you the excellent experience you should have received. Until then, we wish you the best, above all health! Sincerely, Efstratios Mavralexakis General Manager

We visited the hotel with our 4y old son. Everything was amazing! Spacious room, great view, extremely clean. Large beach, really comfortable sun beds. Dining at Cap Voyage was included in half board. Fine dining menu with great variety of dishes to choose from and breathtaking view! Face masks and gloves were offered before entering any building, gel antiseptic and antiseptic tissues were offered with room vanities. But the most amazing thing were the people! Everyone was kind, helpful, considerate to our family’s needs. All the stuff were wearing masks, gloves and they were very careful with social distancing. Thank you everyone, we will be visiting the hotel again next year!!

The Mandola Rosa is a gorgeous resort with a special Greek atmosphere making it a unique place for vacation. We really enjoyed the breathtaking landscape of the area. The resort is filled with Greek style buildings and villas with glistening marble creating a beautiful scenery of greenery and Greek architecture. The sea is refreshing, the water is really cool and great to swim in. The shore is shallow and extends far into the ocean, perfect to swim with children. Although the beach is a bit messy with small amounts of litter scattered around the area. The food is really good. Our favourite meal of the day was breakfast. The breakfast was incredible and room service was great as well. We would also like to praise the Mandola Rosa staff, specifically Maria and Olga, who were very patient with us and incredibly nice with great hospitality. A downside of our stay was the villa. We were promised a two bedroom villa but instead were introduced with incredibly small rooms and one of the rooms being separated by a sheet of curtain. It created a few discomforts. A small negative of the resort was the poor upkeep of the greenery. Grass was overgrown and there were patches of dirt everywhere with bushes untrimmed. If the villa and upkeep would be improved, the Mandola Rosa would be the best hotel in Greece and we would stay there every year. Overall, the Mandola Rosa was a great experience and incredibly beautiful.

An ideal place to relax and enjoy the beauties of Greece (sea, sun and great food!). Amazing beach with very comfortable sun beds, thin golden sand and crystal clear waters. Beautiful terrace to have breakfast and lots of restaurants options to enjoy great food. Room was excellent with all we needed for the family. The staff was very welcoming and friendly. A true blessing to spend part of the holidays there!

Stayed with our 3 kids - 13, 7 & 5. Bearing in mind that both us and the hotel are all trying to get to grips with this unusual Covid situation. Seems odd that all the staff are constantly wearing masks (which look pretty uncomfortable in this heat) but they are all excellent and happy to assist. The Mandola suites are a separate building (I’d imagine an it was the original Manor House on the larger Grecotel plot). Quirky original lounges downstairs with suites on first floor - all roomy and nice. You have your own breakfast served here which is amazing, with fruit, meats, cheeses and pastries - as well as cooked food on order - all overlooking the beautiful separate pool (which was usually quiet -and the best pool in the resort) The amazing water park is open, but closed 3 times a day to be sanitised - so you’re supposed to book slots via the ‘portal’, I’m guessing to limit numbers - but this never seemed to be a problem and we went whenever we wanted to go - 7 great rides and a large kids bit - all our kids lived it. Evening restaurants seemed more limited than advertised (but as the large Grecotel Olympia was closed at the time - maybe that’s why) . There was the obligatory buffet (which I’m not generally a fan) but we visited once for the weekly BBQ night and the food was pretty decent. There was a posh restaurant - which was very good and an Oriental (fusion of Japanese and Chinese) which was also very good - and they both had cracking sunset views) wine list was local and pretty cheap - but ok. Lunchtime had a restaurant/bar over looking the pools and beach which had great food, but oddly this closed for drinks and food after lunch (maybe Covid?) had a great burger - but oddly this wasn’t on the menu (can’t blame Covid for that) Activities (restaurants & waterpatk bookings are done via the Grecotel web portal - which I struggled with) added to the fact that the hotel doesn’t provide you with any kind of resort map or paperwork (Covid apparently) the first few days were tricky in finding you way around - we resorted to calling reception for most questions and bookings. Activities outside of the water park are pretty limited (probably Covid) but there are beach water sorts - jet skis, inflatable rides etc. The beach was AMAZING (coming from a beach hater) glorious sand with a sandbar 100 meters out - millpond smooth in the mornings, turning to amazing waves to play in in the afternoons. I think overall they’ve done a fairly good job with dealing with the new rules, but the social distancing of beds around the pool needs to be addressed - as imagined there are reduced amount of beds, which causes a 7:30am rush of sunbed hogs to get their towels down - but these empty beds would remain empty until the afternoon sometimes. Please Grecotel get more beds out (there is plenty of room) or police this issue - frustrating for all. And more pool cleaning wouldn’t go a miss either as they seemed a little grubby in places. Lastly and hoping not to take too much of the shine off of a great holiday - it’s listed as a 5 star resort, whereas I can imagine it definitely was once, it’s seeming pretty tired in places around the resort and I’d liken it to more of a 4 star+ Hats off to all the staff who made it a great trip, thank you Grecotel.

Dear Guest, It was a great pleasure to welcoming you in Grecotel Mandola Rosa and thank you very much for taking the time to write such a detailed review for our hotel on Trip Advisor website. We are very pleased to read that in general you liked our Hotel and that you were pleased with our personnel, the beach & the Olympia Aqua Park. We thank you as well for your good comments about our a la carte Restaurants, L’Orient & Cap Voyage but also for Le Salon. This year due to the pandemic of the coronavirus, we had to adapt to the new data, setting as first goal your safety. That is why we have limited the activities in which direct contact prevails. However, activities such as archery, fitness programs such as Yoga, Pilates, Abs & Hips, Horse Riding, Water Sports, Tennis etc. are available at our hotel for all guests. We believe strongly on personalized services, attention to detail and comfort. However, we truly welcome and value your constructive comments as direct feedback always helps us to try harder, in order to improve even more our luxury services. We do hope that you have enjoyed your stay with us and we look forward to welcoming you again in the near future in our Hotel. With kind regards, Efstratios Mavralexakis General Manager

We stayed at this hotel for three nights. We had a Mandola Suite at the main building overlooking the pool and the sea. Watching the sunset from our balcony was unforgettable. The suite was really spacious with a separate living area, large bathroom and more than enough closet and storage space. At breakfast there was adequate selection and of good quality. We dined at the Sea Dunes restaurant, the L’ Orient and the Cap Voyage, one for each night of our stay. We enjoyed the food, the service and the setting in all of them. The beach had comfortable sun beds and never felt crowded. The sea had shallow, crystal clear waters. Swimming there was such a relaxing experience. All staff were excellent. As for the price, we believe the accommodation was a bit expensive (prices at the restaurants were reasonable). Overall it was a great holiday in a quiet, beautiful setting. We hope to go there again.

No words to describe the great experience we had at the Mandola Rosa hotel, a fabulous relaxing experience! Great room with balcony, delicious welcoming treats and great details for our stay: beach bag and beach towels (can be replaced everyday if needed), full range of bathroom ammenities and free fresh fruit and water everyday in our room. Breakfast at the beautiful terrace with a great buffet, (high quality white sparkling wine included) giving out to the gardens and the infinity pool. Great beach service with fresh fruit and water upon arrival, really comfortable sunbeds and a great sandy beach which never felt crowded. Our son enjoyed the variety of the pools at both hotels and the super Aqua Park next door to the hotel. I don´t normally rely on buffets, but the dinner served was full of great local options with high quality cold and hot options, together with children's favourites spaghetti, pizza etc in the children´s corner. The staff is smiling and welcoming, unintrubsive but always around for anything you may need during your stay. One of our favourite holidays!

We are returning guests (family with two kids, now 10 and 8 yo) and visit Mandola Rosa every year in July. Our stay this year was once again excellent. This hotel is part of a bigger resort, which features a long, beautiful beach with comfortable sunbeds and gazebos, an aqua park, several restaurants and pools, amazing views, a large spa with a wide range of treatments, tennis courts, water sports centre, and a couple of kids/teens clubs. We prefer Mandola Rosa over the other hotels in the resort, because it is quiet and peaceful, and its suites/villas are spacious, with high ceilings and lovely views. Although the resort itself is a real gem in terms of location and infrastructure, what makes it stand out is its people. Our compliments to everyone for consistently providing excellent service, from reservations, front desk and table service, to golf cart rides and housekeeping. We are already counting the days until our return to Mandola Rosa next year, and certainly recommend this hotel to families and couples looking for a truly outstanding resort experience.
