This place offered decent value, but is not a 4/5 star place. It is obviously a little frayed around the edges. I think that the SJDS region is over-built with hotel rooms and that there is not enough revenue coming in to properly maintain properties like this. The staff was friendly/helpful and overall this was a fine stay. The room...

The employees are very attentive, the rooms are serene and you can tell someone has put a lot of thought into customer service and making their guests feel welcome. The owners were very attentive. I was nervous after reading about bed bugs but the resort is sprayed regularly and we didn't see anything concerning. The views are astonishing! Looking forward...

I wanted to like this place, but it's a little run down (even though they say it's been recently remodeled) and has bed bugs. We booked 4 nights but left after 2 nights. We stayed in the 2 BR casita (apartment) which is detached from the main hotel, so perhaps the main hotel rooms are better, but in our casita...

I traveled with my other half and our two toddlers (2 year old n 1 year old). The hotel is about 25 minutes from town and the road to get there is dirt and not a lot of signs to guide you. When we got there the boys were sleep so we took them straight to the room. The rooms...

This is a late response and I apologize.. When I read reviews I do it with an open mind as if I'm a guest staying here and always take what is said and try to improve upon that for every review. The TV is hooked to a satellite, we had a lot of wind and had moved the dish, it...

I was pretty bummed out when my friend & I ended up with food poisoning from their appetizer dishes on our first night. Even though the view is beautiful and the beach is a close three minute walk, it didn't make up for the tons of bugs, a lizard in our room, no wifi the second night because they decided...

I am so sorry for the late response for the dirty room, we had hired a new housekeeper and replaced her 2 days later because of this happening. And the food poison, that is something that does happen everywhere but do apologize. So as the other readers know, we are very careful in the food we process here and Casa...

NEGATIVE POINTS: There were scarabs EVERYWHERE. When we went out of the room there was a whole "carpet" made of this beetles. We went to the kitchen and they were also there. To the bar, also. To the pool, also... The hotel owners should do something about it. We didn't see this anywhere else in Nicaragua... There is always insects,...

Staying at Casa Bahia hotel was one of the best decisions I made during my whole trip to Nicaragua! The hotel by itself is absolutely stunning and the hotel staff always went above and beyond to help me, whether that be to arrange a surf lesson for me or even arrange my trip back to Managua via their own shuttle...
