WE have great beaches nearby, considered in a dry-rain forest climate so not super wet, but plenty of green jungle with howler monkeys, birds etc in the green season May-Nov come Dec starts drying out and can be pretty dry and brown Feb until rain again in May, hope that helps, also other areas to check out for day trip with tropical vegetation, hiking etc Greg
