Words do not do justice to this incredibly, beautiful place. From the moment you drive up the private lane, there on the steps, the staff is waiting to welcome and greet you with a smile and warm towel. You are the ushered into the Manor and your fantasies begin. The renovation, which is documented in a beautiful book found in... More

Many Irish people may consider that Ballyfin could be stuffy but let me reassure you that it is the very best of Irish hospitality There is an incredible team of people behind this success story and in my opinion the staff make this destination unforgettable . We will be back to Ireland's best kept secret . There must be a... More

We arrived in mid June straight from Dublin airport for a three night stay. You enter the demesne through a set of gates after contacting the staff by intercom and then enjoy the long drive up to the house. The road was specifically routed to show off part of the grounds and then reveal the house with a view across... More

We recently returned from Ballyfin and are still dreaming about it. This place is the pinnacle (luxury, beauty, service). And we can't wait to return. It was a family get-together, with 27 of us bombarding Ballyfin for 5 nights! And as we quickly learned, it doesn't get better than Ballyfin. The history, the impeccable restoration, the immaculate grounds, the beautiful... More

I'm not too sure how to go about this review. Probably the best hotel I have ever stayed in. It was my birthday and it was a surprise where I was being brought. I had seen the documentary on tv some time ago, so got very excited when I started seeing signs for Ballyfin Demesne. I don't even know what... More

It so expensive, yes, but worth every penny. This was an outstanding experience to which 5 stars and "Excellent" do not do enough justice. We stayed on the last night in April, so as to get as good weather as possible before the summer rated applied! I should have rushed to review it then but life has been hectic and... More

Ballyfin is an outstanding small hotel. The food is amazing. We even had a picnic lunch at the top of the tower on the grounds. The staff is very accommodating and friendly. The room was excellent (Wellesley Pole suite) and overlooked a water feature. The grounds are well maintained and enjoyable to walk around. It is the Irish equivalent to... More

Ballyfin is the most amazing Hotel Country Home. The staff are warm and friendly. Catering to one's every need. So much to do. The highlight of our 2night stay was the Gulf Buggies and ground attractions such as the Tower castle, Horses and a through back in history dressing up. Organic vegetables and eggs all home grown not to mention... More

Where to start with the superlatives for this peerless property and all who lovingly work there? Honestly, I can't say enough good things about the wonderful experience that was a weekend in incredible and incredibly lovely yet cozy Ballyfin, which Damien manages so capably. From our delightful driver to the demesne from Dublin, to the genuinely warm welcome received upon... More
