Located in the heart of Varzaneh, Negaar Varzaneh Traditional Guest House is a renovated historic building from Pahlavi Era, with rooftop views over the Jame Mosque of Varzaneh. The house includes common area where to relax and meet other travelers, a small but well equipped kitchenette and a choice of seven cozy rooms: six private ones with en-suite bathroom and a mixed dorm with shared bathroom. Your home away from home is only 10 min driving away from sand dunes, and in walking distance of so many sites. To list a few more things: - Breakfast included, and wifi is free - Luggage store free for the whole day - No curfew “Negaar” is a Persian word meaning picturesque that refers to painting or artistic designs and also a feminine given name which would mean beloved. That is to say, the house is full of Tazhib (gilding) art. The peaceful courtyard of house is a great place to hang out with other guests, have a herbal tea, enjoy the music of water of fountain, and serve some homemade food Being in a few minutes driving from sand dunes, and then being close to salt lake, and lots of other interesting sights such as Gavkhouni wetlands and black (Volcanic) Mountain, Khargooshi Caravansary, oasis villages, make it an ideal place for our guests to enjoy the nature and historical sites around. Many of the cultural sites such as pigeon tower, ethnology museum, old bridges, Jame Mosque, handicraft workshops, are just are in walking distance. The taxi from/to Isfahan airport is just 1 and half away, costing 15 US$. We are a minute walking from the bus stop of Varzaneh. With frequent buses to Isfahan city as well.

Detailed Reviews
My stay at Mohammads guesthouse was great. He gave me a warm welcome, i could immediately join dinner (the food was really nice) and he gave me a private room instead of a bed in a dorm, because there were not that many guests at that time. He offers a lot of nice activities and I really recommend to do some. The greater area is beautiful and you should definitely go to enjoy the sunset and sunrise. Also, make sure you have tried some of Mohammads herbal tea before you leave, they are lovely! Thank you Mohammad for everything!

Negaar Guesthouse is probably the best place to stay in Varzaneh. It has a beautiful courtyard, very nice rooms and delicious food. Though I booked only a dormitory bed, I was upgraded to a single room for free. :)
The owner Mohammad is very kind and knowledgeable about the area. We had some great discussions on mathematics too since we both studied it. :D
The hostel offers trips into the Varzaneh desert which are a great opportunity for some desert experience away from the city. Very often you will be able to share the trip with fellow guests, so the price will be low.

I was really glad having Max here! Sometimes is about finding new things in common! Some academic chat, beside talking about tours, I was glad all in all, I managed to help him enjoy the surrounding nature after all.. . Your feedback about rooms and the tours in Varzaneh desert is very heart-warming! Thanks one more time for taking time, and sharing your words! You are always welcome!

Travelling can be exhausting some times, always on the move, moving from city to city. Negaar guesthouse in Varzaneh is the perfect place to visit, non only due to its calm atmosphere and vibe of the small desert town but the amount of attractions that can be seen surrounding the town. The owner Mohammad is very accommodating and offers an array of very interesting tours for an affordable price. The rooms are beautifully designed, i love the blue tiling and mudbrick look. Location really is so perfect and i highly recommend you staying here on your trip in Iran. This place has so much to offer!

Mohammad is trying everything to please his customers. Even a night in a tent in the desert with a delicious barbeque. He organized the driver, the tents, the fire, and the meal ... and he probably talked to God to send as a wild fox we could feed.

It is sometimes about making new friends! We are glad we managed to provide a nice memory for you for a camping experience in the desert, beside staying a room in the guesthouse. The sand foxes yet helped us to have this experience more fascinating! Always welcome! :)

A bright side and its yellow shadow and between the long curves of the Dunes. Going to the desert together with the Tour of the Guesthouse was one of the experiences I will never forget! What a beautiful stay in Varzaneh thanks to the Negaar Hostel.
I think going to Varzaneh is a good chance to experience life in Iran away from the tourism Hotspots like Isfahan ... The Guesthouse is perfectly located (there is a bus running from Isfahan for about 50ct) and suitable for Backpackers and Solo Travelers. The rooms are clean, Breakfast is very tasty and stuff is friendly. But most importantly, the guesthouse offers a wide range of expeditions like going to the desert (also camping there over night 25e p.P.; borrow sandboard 1,5 e), salt lake, mountains... You can take an iranian cooking class, or learn about Persian medicine (4e p.P.), get a massage (1,5 e). Everything is so cheap, so the prices are fair and they don't overcharge foreigners. There is a dormitory where you can stay for 6 Euro or you take private room. Anyway, there is a lot to experience so if you want to see Iran, this is a must! :)

+1
I stayed here in October for 2 nights and also booked the Desert tour along with Desert camping. The property is very nice, with a lovely courtyard that I often hung out at in the mornings and evening, my room was lovely - super clean, very large and very comfortable. Mohammad attended to me during my entire trip and he was a joy to be with - so kind, smart and speaks fluent english! And we did the medicinal tea thing and that was super interesting too. The best part was the camping trip that he organized - Varzaneh desert was beautiful at night with a million stars (don’t miss out on this!) camp dinner was superb and Hassan, my caretaker, made sure my tent was set up nice and warm and that I stayed safe throughout the night. I’d repeat this experience all over again if I could!! Mohammad even gave me a ride to Isfahan (he was heading there the same morning I was) and that was so much nicer than being in a taxi. Highly recommend this place if you get to Varzaneh!

The hotel is located in a small desert town about 3h away from Isfahan. I had a really good stay here, spent 2 nights. Mohammad was really welcoming & warm. The food was delicious & homemade & I liked sitting at the table eating, chatting & laughing with Mohammad & other guests. I took several tours organised by the hotel & they were amazing, especially the sunrise tour at an abandoned caravanserai. I would love to go back to visit again someday.

Me and my husband stayed two nights in this cute little guesthouse while travelling from Kashan to Yazd.
The area has so much to explore, we booked some tours to desert and salt lake and Mohammad (the owner of guesthouse) arranged everything and took us to this marvelous locations while explaining the history and origins of everything we saw and ask on the way.
The owner and his family are very hospitable and helpful and available all time, they offer delicious lunch and dinner on request. We enjoyed our stay very much and will definitely go back.

I really enjoyed my stay at Negaar Guest house! The place is cozy and homey, the host, Mohammad goes above and beyond to make sure his guests feel like home and enjoy their time. He always offers small snacks to try, amazing herbal tea, tells us about Iranian culture and Persian medicine… I learned so much about the place and Iranian culture from him. In addition, you could also enjoy the delicious traditional Iranian food made by his mother at home, they are a must-try! Also check out the tours as there is a variety of interesting stuff to do during your stay!

We stayed for 2 nights at this great and friendly guesthouse in Varzaneh. The owner Mohammed is very kind and helpful and can help you organize various interesting excursion around Varzaneh and also cultural tours and cooking classes. The food is also delicious with many vegetarian options (something quite rare in Iran). The room was spacious, clean and with en-suite bathroom. It's the kind of place where you plan to stay one night and then end up staying longer because there's so much to see around Varzaneh. We even got a discount for cyclists. We can highly recommend you staying there.
